Subject: Michael brings life to the
Terminally Ill and Dying
Michael has always been empathic to the plight of the hungry, homeless and sick, especially children. Frank Dileo tells many heart-breaking stories of Michael Jackson's influence on dying children.
"It is as though an unexplainedable part within him is able to reach children close to death."
Michael is not a miracle worker; he does not heal. However, his touch acts like a soothing balm for those facing a frightening time. There are people who feel they have the power to alleviate pain, and because they feel so strongly, they are able to transmit their feelings.
Michael considers himself one of them and believes that the ability, like his voice, is a gift from GOD, a gift he recognizes and shares freely. It's an important, positive side of Michael, this caring, one he problably thinks is the best thing about himself.
One night after a show, a small child suffering from a brain tumor and spinal cancer was brought to Michael on a stretcher. When the boy reached up to Michael, Michael grabbed his hand and held tight. The child smiled. Frank Dileo turned away and broke into tears.Michael put his arm around Frank and said,
" Don't feel sad, Don't cry. This is why I am here."
"He's not afraid to look into the worst suffering and find the smallest part that's positive and beautiful," Dileo said.
Seth Riggs, the voice teacher who traveled with Michael on tours, recalled, "Every night the kids would come in on stretchers, so sick they could hardly hold their little heads up. Michael would kneel down at the stretchers and put his face right down beside theirs so that he could have his picture taken with them, and then give them a copy to remember the moment. I'm a sixty-year-old man, and I couldn't take it. I'd be in the bathroom crying. But Michael could atke it, right before going on stage no less. The kids would perk right up in his presence. If it gave them a couple days' more energy, to Michael that was worth it. As far as I'm concerned he's a prince of the world."
"He's the most natural, lovng person I've ever known, a very good person, as corny as that sounds," continued Riggs, "He'll see a picture of a baby, and if it's a cute kid, he will go absolutley gaga over the picture. During the tour, on his nights off, he would go into a toy store and buy ten of this and ten of that and then stay up all night long putting batteries into toys, making certain each and every one worked so that he could have them ready to give to kids backstage the next day. As if he didn't have enough to worry about."
WoW..is it not amazing to see what he TRUELY was, how then can all this unbridaled gift of his love be turned, so easily. I believe like beauty, LOVE is in the eye of the beholder. What Michael did and what people saw, were two different things. I believe ugliness is also in the eye of the beholder, because it is where the heart is either full of JOY for seeing that LOVE, and then in turning that same act into the most dipraved thing a heart could endure..
Michael knows what HE saw and did, he knows what WE saw what he did. Who then can take away what we all already know..Look in your heart..You will see Michael waiting there, to show how limitless and unmoveable TRUE LOVE can really, honestly and spiritually be and IS.
