I LOVE THIS ERA! WOOOO! In Rolling Stone magazine they have half a page of THRILLER 25 ad and they have a review, the first page review! Which always has a huge banner of the singer and almost 2 page review while everything else has like a paragraph! WO!

Your welcome! The ad is pretty good size and the baner above the review is AWESOME! It is like a actual graphic, like you could put it in your sig, yes, that good! It looks like one of you good MJ siggy makers made it, except it's half the page LOL! And it's awesome! THE REVIEW IS AMAZING! Long, detailed, and VERY positive!

Of course I love this era! This is my first era of MJ I've ever gotten to take part in so I've been excited the whole time! I got Ebony, 2 Jets, where the second Jet I use to cut out his pictures and frame
The other one I collect, I've already framed the cover of Jet! Ebony is AWESOME photos/interview! I READ IT EVERY NIGHT ! I can't wait for tomorrow to have that album in my hands! CANNOT WAIT AT ALL!And the advertisement is just FANTASTIC! I don't mind Michael isn't taking much part in it because I am excited no matter what! Last night I watched the whole Grammys and got bored to death but even when it ended I will always remember waiting all night to not see him LOL! But it was still exciting so....GO THRILLER25 ERA! HERES TO THE NEXT! *cheers*

Thanks! I feel as though I am the ONLY one sooo excited this era... I've never been able to collect magazines, cut out pictures, frame pictures, AH :wub: I LOVE IT! Also, here is my confession, I am only 12 so don't be surprised but I have NEVER listened to Michael's whole Thriller album... I've never listened to the whole album in one thing. I've also never heard Lady in My Life, Baby Be Mine, and Human Nature. So I've never heard all of the album, and I've never heard the remixes, and have never seen Motown 25 performance.... so when I get Thriller 25.. :wub: OMG I AM ECSTATIC!!!!!!!!

I don't really consider Thriller 25 as an era, because its a re-release, but when the new album is released it will be! But I am THRILLED nonetheless, I can't wait to get T25, but I have to, cause next Tuesday is my birthday!! As I said before many times IMO Michael doesn't need/have to promote Thriller 25, it's Wonderful that he has taken part in it at all! It's a re release, so he isn't obligated to promote it! When the new stuff is released that is when the REAL promotion from Michael will start!
Awww Fayik, I'm so happy for you & I fell the same way, even though I don't consider T25 a new Era in & of itself, I'm still Ecstatic & I love it everytime there is a new magazine/positive video segment/ picture to get!

I think this is like a pre-era. It's all good to be excited though... however when he releases a new album you'll be able to feel it. Suddenly MJ will be everywhere and there will be 100's of threads like this.

as for the negativity.. I think its just fans that have seen other eras..fans of MJ that go off of rumours alot and over except things..and when it doesn't happen .. the sky falls for them...
but, look at this way.. they are still coming to a MJ fan board..and still spending their time.. wanting... welcoming...willing.. and ...wallowing..all over one Michael Jackson.. so.. I guess.. all in all.. its all good..
a continuation of his legacy.. is being written.. and by your excitement.. I am sure....you are not going to miss it...
PS:..it a usual thing for Michael to avoid media attention until his new album...so the sky has not fallen since he didn't go to the Grammys...

That's cool...I get rolling stone free in the mail (somehow...???) all the time, and I just got the one with britney on the cover yesterday...when I saw Britney on the cover I just threw it down somewhere...I didn't know Mike was even in it lol.
But um, you say this review is so positive, then could someone please explain this quote to me? I don't quite get it...
"The on hit that sounds tired now is "Thriller," killed off by the video, with its bid for middlebrow respectability. ("Billie Jean" and "Beat It" are great videos--"Thriller" is just a crap John Landis movie.)

I wouldn't call this review "positive" at all. They gave the new bonus tracks (the remixes, etc) TWO STARS, which is in my estimation, not a "positive" review. But you know how the Rolling Stone magazine is--its snobby writers always have to be pretentious and condescending, somehow. Because they're experts and they know it all. I hate this review--the reviewer keeps making outside references and comparisons that have nothing to do with the re-release itself, and he keeps talking about unecessary things--completely de-railing the topic at hand, which is reviewing the album, right?
I'm really not a big fan of this magazine anyway...which is why I use the back issues to pick up my dog's poop. So I'm greatful that they keep sending me free issues because at least I don't have to go out and buy a pooper scooper.

Who cares what they gave the remixes? They said 'Billie Jean' EVERYBODY loves and they gave the overall album a FIVE STAR RATING, that is fantastic! They put him on the front with that big banner, and advertisement, AND on the back page with the charts they show a back issue and the one they showed for that back issue was MJ in 1983 Rolling Stone. This whole magazine has Michael EVERYWHERE! And stop complaining, the review was overall pretty positive.
