Is this still the top thread? I find that really awkward, and I'm sure many other fans find that awkward. I'm sure if Michael came into this board to take a peep, he'd love to see his fans talk about his finacial issues :flowers:

Love it or Hate it Michael is in Financial difficulties...the fact he is constantly having to refinance loans shows this. Mike needs to get his ass on tour if he wants to pay off these debts.
As for Neverland, I think its about time Michael let it be. I think he should pay the debt on it and then sell it himself or do somthing new to it. Neverland is bad news in the public consciousness in releation to Michael...if he wants to move forward , neverland must go but on Michaels terms

A lot of people who are making comments have no knowledge how rich people handle their money. They think that they keep cash in the bank. Rich people do not keep their money in cash, They hold their money in stocks and shares, bonds and in property. In other words, they invest their money. When they need a large sum of money they use their assets to secure loans from the bank. This is exactly what MJ is doing. The only touble is that fatface is trying to use it to make a name for himself.not nescess. ppl refinance all the time because better deals come along. if u have a sort term deal you would be daft not to shop around

That's about it. I was at a business seminar where they talked about how to make money by investing and they tell you that you NEVER use your own money, but make the bank and credit card work for you. That is how money is made. I would bet my last dollar that MJ did not buy that catalogue with his own money. He would have borrowed money from the bank to do that. It is rather like buying a house, you borrow from the bank.EXACTLY! MJ ain't doing nothing new. LOL! Rich people never use their own money to pay for anything. They are all basically asset rich and cash poor, that's the way it works.
When they are working on a new deal, they don't use their own money, that's when they seek INVESTORS!

Yes, you can. Business people are often very bad at paying bills. That is also called brinkmanship. If MJ is negotiating with the bank he may leave payment for the last minute. That is not a problem for Mj if he knows that they cannot sell his property.yeah thats true but obviously theres issues.you dont get to the point of defaulting for several months and having auction dates set if its normal business.
I have always felt that Mj will return to that place, when he is ready to do that. He will go back and he will return it to its glory days. I have always believe that. And yes, For me, MJ IS the real life Peter Pan, And He will return to Neverland, and the Headline will jump out at us,'Return to Neverland'. Yes. That is my dream and I am sticking to it.![]()
When Neverland was raided HISTORY was made that day.. Sending 70 law in forcement to invade his HOME.. More law inforcement than any other crime investigation in U.S. history.. That is more than any serial killer, more than any mafia king-pin, the largest drug deals.. This shows that they were trying to KILL Michael Jackson. This they did not accomplish. Michael needed to stay away from neverland for healing reasons.. There will be a time that he will return there, He needed to erase the memory of what they did there..
I look foward to the day he goes home. (NEVERLAND)
Funny you should say that. I was reading in Joe's book that when he bought the estate in Encino, the neighbours collected a petition from the neighbourhood to keep the Jacksons out of the all white neighbourhood. This was in the 70's and the Jacksons were mighty famous at the time. I Joe Jackson was not intimidated. It made him more determined. The jackson family are still there. Michael will not be driven out of Neverland if Joe Jackson's blood runs through his veins.![]()
And
Why is it i can't do whatever i want to
When it's my personal life and I don't live for you
So don't you try and tell me what is right for me
MJDisney, I feel you in those sentiments. But it's not Neverland that worries me, like i said. MJ can make a neverland elsewhere. But it's the IDEALS that go into Neverland that I'm worried about.
I'm worried about the notion that MJ gave up on all the things he expressed in "Dancing The Dream"...gave up on innocence...all of that.
I don't think he has though. But then again, I'm not sure.
That's the ONLY sad thing about this. As long as Neverland is still inside of him, then the property can burn to the ground. But if MJ gave up on Neverland and ALL that it's meant to him, and not JUST the physical property, then I'll be sad.
That is the reason why I do want him to hang on to it, and wish that he'll come back. I hope society hasn't changed him, that's all.

Missdisney, You have been very honest and I do admire you for it. Don't be embarrassed at all. MJ wasn't embarrassed when he said he was Peter pan in his heart. And he did build neverland didn't he?thank you. i feel so silly for getting so emotional about this. sometimes i stop myself and say "GEEZ DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF!! IT'S A HOUSE!"...but no...i can't help it. and it helps when others agree in some way. i understand exactly what you're saying though. the physical property shouldn't matter..i guess my thing is this...if he had it in his heart then he wouldn't let the physical property go either...emotion just makes connections like that...so if the physical property goes..chances are..it all goes :'( i really gotta get out of here though cuz i'm embarrasing myself)
Michael will not lose his ranch guys! If he didn't want it he wouldn't have paid back taxes a few weeks ago, just for him to lose it now. Everything will be taken care of!
