MJ's Bodyguards On GMA-(All Threads Merged)

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

After seeing this, I love Michael even more.

Whether or not I agree with the bodyguards giving an interview or not, I like hearing something positive for a change. I hope part 2 isn't disappointing.

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

I dont understand why people find it so hard to think that Michael made out with woman. Michael wasnt all cupcakes and sunshine people.

What I don't understand is why Michael wasn't making out with ME. I would have been happy to bask in some of that sunshine. :D

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

My only complaint is that they should know better. They should know that you can only say super positive things about him to the media and have it turn out okay. If you say neutral things, they'll put a spin and somehow make it bad. If you say unflattering things, they'll take and run with it and blow it up x1000. Yes MJ wasn't always perfect, he made mistakes as we all do. However, the media still isn't able to handle that subject maturely. If you mention a mistake he made or flaw he had, the media will point and laugh and run with it just as a second grader on the playground. The bodyguards are well aware of that.

If they really did do this just to defend him and help shed light on how good he was, then *why* would you mention the "burn victim" disguises and how they thought "something is going on", credit cards being declined, drugs and having a temper and breaking things? What *good* does that do for MJ? I'm still not convinced of their motive. -_-

Bill. I would very much like it if you could get more canned tuna for Kaitie because I have only 1 can left. Thank you so much, I appreciate it very much. From Paris.

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

^ :) I like how she put #1 can, LoL. This seems like it might have been a little while ago. :p Also, I love how she signed it with such flair, just like an autograph =)

Edit: Before anyone jumps, yes, I enjoy seeing and hearing cute little anecdotes like that, but if they can't keep the whole interview strictly sweet and relatively impersonal, then I'd rather them keep it all to themselves.

Heh! cupcakes and sunshine. I was just suspicious of their "curtain" story because I can't believe they still use "curtains" in limo's or whatever kind of vehicle MJ was being driven around in. But then I haven't been inside a limo since my sister's wedding in 1998 and I am rarely in fancy cars, lol. Make that never. :D

That is so sweet. I think I would faint if one of my sister's children ever wrote me such a polite note. This is what results when a parent teaches a child well from an early age (God, I hope my sisters never read this post).

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

Nice interviews.

part 2 and 3 are very short aren't they?

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

I've just watched it on YouTube. I don't live in the US so I don't know.. Is there more coming tomorrow or is that it?

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

I'm not buying that story Michel made out with various women in the back of his limo.

And that isn't a bad thing for a single man like him.

I just don't believe it. Like him throwing the phone out the window and breaking it.

yeah thats way too human...

i hope they put out a book, call it what you want.

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

Like most people here, I was also sceptical when I heard about this interview, however, I was positively surprised when I saw it. I loved the little anecdotes, they made MJ look so human and normal like everyone else. I don't quite get the negativity of some people here to be honest...
It wasn't a bad interview, I didn't see anything negative with the "burn victim" comment, I actually laughed because the disguise was so typically Michael :D And also, what's wrong with Michael showing a bit of temper? This is nothing new. It's not like he was violent or has beaten someone up. Throwing something is nothing bad and doesn't make you a thug! Heck, if I had to go through the crap he had to endure, I would have thrown more than just a phone!

Maybe it's not what the bodyguards said that makes people here unhappy, it's what they (or the media) read into it. Perhaps you shouldn't get too worked up over this. The bodyguards didn't take any money for the interview. Yes, they want to write a book, but hey, if you don't like it, don't buy it. I haven't bought any of those stupid MJ biographies out there.

The interviewer even changed her mind about MJ after the interview, I think that's a good start. Of course not everyone in the media will change their mind, but I hope that gradually they will come to see what a wonderful person Michael was. There will always be some haters who will scoff when they hear positive stuff about MJ. After three decades of non-stop brainwashing through the media, it is hard for some people to believe that MJ was a normal man.

At the end of the day, you can be the biggest MJ defender on TV and the media will still make what they want out of your comments. That happened to Michael all the time. People twisted his words around the way they wanted.
I don't want to show any hostility towards those bodyguards. I will wait and watch the other interview parts and then judge for myself.

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

Okay, I'm just going to say it.

I don't know exactly what in this interview is false or true.

Truth is often mixed with lies to fool people.

But I feel that this interview had a purpose, and no, not to sell a book, not for a bit of fame, or to make Michael seem like a playa (if that really is true), Again, I'm not sure what is false and what isn't.

But, seriously. I feel this interview had a purpose. It was devised in some way to steer people's minds towards a certain direction, something that has to do with the whole "chaos" going on right now.

Of course, this may steer people's minds on towards the idea that Michael was actually a human being. But I think, that is just to fool people. They give all these stories on how much Michael was like us.

Still, even though I have not watched the entire thing yet, this interview was specifically devised for an ill reason.

And ah man, they forgot to ask the guards where Thome Thome is? Or who fired them that day along with the rest of the staff?

Okay i just watched the video there now and it is great to see something positive like this in the main stream media but, and this is where people are just going to accuse me of being negative, i just don't know if i buy it all, i mean sure Michael was human and these stories don't shock me but if they were negative stories we would all be questioning the truth in them so i am just trying to do the same. These men have a book coming out and because of these interviews a lot of fans are definitely going to buy it they could easily have sat around and made all this up. I know many will say i am looking for problems and they are probably right but I'm just playing devils advocate.

I sure miss seeing Michael out and about in those disguises. I wish I completely understood how he could think of that as a disguise though, lol. But as you said, it's so Michael.

I've been known to throw things in anger every once in a while but only when I've held my feelings in too long and finally let it all out. Maybe that's how it was for MJ.

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

I don't see why everyone is so upset. It was a positive view on Michael. It wasn't scandalous or vulger, they painted him in good light.

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

I am glad it wasn't as bad as we feared it could be. There is still tomorrow so hopefully that won't be too bad either. Michael was human just like the rest of us. Maybe if people had remembered that he wouldn't have been treated so badly when he was alive. It's sad that simple things we take for granted or don't realize how easy it is for us was hard for Michael to do.

Yeah, sometimes I also wondered how Michael thought he was "disguised". People recognised him exactly because of said disguises *lol*

When I get angry, I usually just walk away, but I have to admit, I have also thrown something once.

if you watched it to the end , Robin asks the interviewer what she thinks about these stories and she says she believes these men are genuine and says did you realize they finish each other's sentences? I went back and watched it again and indeed they finish each other's sentences and also give the same emotional responses (for example: laughing) at the same time as well.

IMO it looks genuine, but if they are making up these stories and lying then they are doing a damn good job of looking and acting convincing.

I heard her say that but if we are honest then we know she had to say that because she couldn't say she didn't believe them, if she had what would the point of the interview be and why would the public watch again tomorrow if even the interviewer believed they were making it up. I'm not saying they were I'm just trying to be objective, but i can say i don't believe every time he went to a book store he bought thousands of dollars worth of books.

Re: MJ's Bodyguards Tomorrow On GMA

There's supposed to be more tonight on Dateline as well . . . which makes me nervous. Martin Bashir is on that show. Hmmm.
