Mods - what is going on?

Guys, until I get to the bottom of this I've set new registrations to be approved by admin. I'll also look to make the sign up process much more in depth.

Tbh I may just keep it as admin approval.

Can we please do a clean up of guilters as well. Can we bring a case against someone we suspect and then provide evidence that leads to them being banned?

This is the problem. The "controversy" was not the issue in that thread, as per your post in the thread - MULTIPLE users here have reported and complained about 1 specific user who has been intentionally trolling and annoying people by posting absolute nonsense across various threads. The lack of acknowledgment, communication or action by the mods just means people like myself are visiting less because some of us are too old to be putting up with that nonsense.

Again, bring it up with @Gaz . I have posted repeatedly that mods can delete posts and lock threads when reported, but they cannot ban members.
 
Let me point out a fact, we will never be dictated to by members as to who to ban or block from this site, you have a problem with someone then there are tools to report content to me and my mods, outside of that, we/I will decide who we want to participate here and when.

Hiker, it's taken 4 days to get a response to my post. That's one point.

Secondly, my post was referring to how you mentioned that it was "controversy" surrounding the topic was the issue, and not a trolling poster.

My third point is nowhere is my post do I mention banning someone. My post was about the lack of communication or acknowledgement from mods here. Given the amount of complaints in each thread I have yet to see certain members even receive a warning like on other sites. From the average user's perspective, users are given free reign to troll in this forum.

I have read your and @Gaz 's response and won't be posting on the matter again.

This post actually pisses me of, since when have we been at your beck and call and within a certain time? Who the **** are you to demand we all jump within a time frame? Everyone here does all this out of the goodness of our heart, we are not slaves to you and your demands, as I've said there is plenty of tools in this platform for you to use, including block who ever it is you have an issue with, I advise you use them instead of standing on some sort pedestal barking that we adhere to your each and every demand.

Anyway, prime example of how to respond to a comment without having any context or idea about why it is being made. It's not too much to ask when it comes to moderation reading threads and understanding why people are complaining instead of posting a generic tone deaf overly aggressive comment. You go on about using the report button etc yet there is STILL a user who has been previously banned posting on this forum.

If you want to decide that previously banned members can post nonsense across various threads and you decide that's okay then I guess that's fine.

Don't expect normal users of this forum to be okay with trolls having the a-okay to do whatever they want though.

Where is the block button exactly? I would like to use it personally. I've looked for it but have not found it so far.
