Murray Trial - September 27 - Day 1 - Discussion Thread

You know, Chernoffs poor attempt at his opening statement is shocking (but I like it) but if he carries on like this he won't make it to the end.

Question for experts, I know its just started but when Murray is found Guilty, can he appeal because of lawyer incompetence, if so could he win?

Maybe Murray can fly a picture of Miss Ruby saying what a wonderful doctor he is. LOL!
 
The reason the lunch break is taking so long, supposedly, is because the defense KNOWS they screwed up and are trying to patch things up before they go back to session! Did not expect the defense to be so bad this early in the game. Man...

Yes, that's what I thought they said too. Honestly, I'm not in the medical field, but I think the defense is going nowhere. It will be easy for the prosecution to prove them wrong.

thanks. i thought so. so how do u get away with a blanket lie like that. then again the lawyers sometimes say alot in opening statements but the evidence never actually gets shown in the case. so this is prob the case with this
 
They played the entire recording on the bbc news, i think we're going to hear it constantly and it's so heartbreaking. the family must feel absolutely stunned, as this recording was supposedly made a few days before their big meet up for the parents' wedding anniversary.
 
so did the defence finish their opeing speech or did the judge just stop for lunch
 
I believe the voice recording is MJ compare it to the leaked tapes that that fool Dieter release to ET and u will find similarties. Mj did have a deeper voice then most realize, but so what?!

Guys... is this significant? The time?.. What time would MJ always come down to the kitchen to have breakfast with the kids.. was it at 8am? But Murray recorded Michael at 9am that morning... maybe Mj went back to bed?

I think I have to agree with you both on this one. I can't shake off what I heard. Unfortunately, the media will be playing it over and over and over.
 
Keep in mind that what is said in opening statements is not always delivered; I have faith that the prosecution will deliver. I doubt the same for the defense. There is no way to alleviate the responsible from Murray.

That recording was very hard to listen to. But, whatever is necessary to get this conviction is important. I really hope that it is brought out why he would be making such a recording in the first place.

I've been dreading this but know it is important to get justice for Michael.

BRRRR... and the 'slurred' speech tape? Indeed, really sounds like Michael was 'benzod'... Poor Michael :boohooand NO ONE 'protecting' him... Its HORRIBLE that even a Doc would tape this :puke: DOCS are supposed to HEAL people and NOT KILL or TORTURE them...

I did laugh though.... I learnt a new word "Fumbelina" :hysterical:

I agree... that has to hurt. Especially since he was there and they didnt know/ do anything. Its just sad all the way around.

I have a question.....

If MJ was like that on the tape from May 10 (Im gonna assume it was from something Muarry gave him).. wouldnt he have been the same on the night he died???
Im just basiclly asking wouldnt MJ have been disoriented after recieving benzos before Muarry gave him the propofol???

Also did Chernoff did say "while he was up in the bathroom and other rooms" (in refrence to Muarry)
 
he's saying that Michael swallowed lorazepam and that killed him. he says that prosecution didn't test the stomach for lorazepam and they did and found a lot.

can ppl with medical knowledge comment on that?
 
he said the pro did not test for lorazepam in the stomach content !!!!! but the defence did ?!! am I correct ?
