Hello

I'm a newbie here so just wanted to say its great to be here. Now that I have finally worked out how best to share my artwork on here I finally can!! Have been an MJ fan all my life and cannot wait to see him on the 24th July. since I began painting in 1996 I have always wanted to paint this picture but never got around to it, but since his announcement of gigs it got me going to finally do it, so here it is.

I would so much like to know what you all think of it. Because of the response that I got for the original painting at various shows that I do (which I have no intention of selling!!), I have decided to do a limited edition run of just 50 full size canvas prints. The canvas stands at 20 x 25 inches, and to make it a little bit special each canvas will have Swarovski crystals attached to parts of the glove, trouser seam and jacket, exactly as it is on the original painting. When the light hits it with the crystals it looks just great! Unfortunately number 1 has already been sold, but there's 49 left!! So feel free to go to my website and also have a look at my other artwork.

But again, if you don't want one then please do let me know what you think of it. I'm just happy to share this and even more happy to be here.

Take care all and enjoy:)

Sol

UPDATE: The limited Edition number of 50 were to commemorate the 50 shows at the O2, but now sadly and heartbreakingly will commemorate each year of his life.

A fitting tribute now to such a wonderful person. Wish only this were available in different circumstances.

10% of all prints sold will go to Make A Wish Foundation UK (Donation No. 54605)

Rest in Peace MJJ

Hello:)

Thank you! means alot! And you're the first to reply!!

Hope you liked the site.

I find it amazing that I'm talking to someone from Brazil and I'm in the UK!! Very cool!!

Speak soon

Wow I just look at the site. Very cool! All designs are amazing... congratulations to you! You spoke in a way so excited about Brazil, I think you should learn many things here or you have been in Brazil: country of samba, football and carnival and many other wonderful things! :)

And thanks to the Internet. She gives us that kind of thing: talk to people from other countries! :)

That is very good, I love it. :) Thank you for sharing it with us. :flowers: You are very talented. :)

Very lovely! I like the way you included the several speckles dropping down to communicate there is always magic going on when MJ is in the spotlight. :)

Well hello!!

Thanks once again. tell everyone about my you know about art!!!

I wish I knew more about Brazil than I do. I've never been but always fascinated by all the things that you've said - and of course the football!! I'm a huge Chelsea FC fan so I've had a taste of that with Filipe Scolari!!

You must tell me more about your country and I can tell you more about not-so-sunny England!!

Take care

Sol:)

Wow, then you know something about Brazil. Luis Felipe Scolari is one of the most important technical football in Brazil. Hmmm I think you would love the carnival, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro... and the Brazilian people! Why all the foreigners who come here never fail to return to Brazil for what they are fascinated by the beauty of the country and especially the population that is happy and very receptive to all who come here. :D

And England should be very interesting...

Do you draw too?
I'm actually more into drawing since all you need are some pencils, an eraser and a paper. My mum used to paint but she didn't have any time to paint anymore since she got my sister and me LOL.:cheeky:
When I started drawing a while ago, my mum checked all her painting stuff but all the paint had gone bad...
And paint is more messy, my fingers get all black when I draw and I don't even use them for the shadings! God knows what my hands would look like if I'd paint:rofl:

How long have you been painting, I've checked your site and it looks like you've done a lot of paintings already!

Awesome painting Sol! I had a quick look at your website too... fabulous work. I draw but haven't really tried painting properly before.

Yes it is. I only have the television that allows me to taste a bit of your country, maybe one day as this world gets ever more smaller it will be easier to actually see it for myself!

England? Well it's home and it has its own beauty too.

Ciao (that's Italy isn't it!)
:)

Thank you!!

I always used to pencil draw, then stopped for 10 years. Started again, then my friend asked me to do a painting for him. I had never used them before so taught myself. I still havent done my friends painting yet!! So don't be shy to try and find what you're comfortable with

would be nice to see your drawings sometime
:)

Yes I draw too

always used to pencil draw, then stopped for 10 years. Started again, then my friend asked me to do a painting for him. I had never used them before so taught myself. I still havent done my friends painting yet!! That was 13 years ago. I use coloured pencil and pastels too

Just so long as you enjoy it then it doesn't matter. would be nice to see some of your work sometime

Wow they're great!! You certainly have an eye for this! I'm surprised you stopped for such a long time, but I guess I might know. Other things get in the way - like growing up and having to study/work, etc. But this stuff is really good

Keep doing it and keep updating so that we can see. Any advice you need, especially if you're thinking of moving to paints, then don't hesitate to ask

:)
