Screen Settings

I've had glaucoma since I was 29, so that might be making a difference.
What size desk top monitor should I get for the new format. I need to get one anyway. :)

All forums will be set to 1200 px (y) :)

Not easy pleasin' the masses, eh Gaz? lol I liked the graphic yesterday also, but this one with the BJ poses in the background is even cooler.

Tell me about it lol, yeah the one yesterday was cool but you could not see any MJ as he was in the middle, this one I think fits better as he is all along it in one of his most famous poses.

Absolutely; that's exactly why it is so much better.

I just about to e-mail you to ask what was wrong with my account because I couldn't get in for like an hour or so. It didn't recognize my password, but then when I cleared the history in the browser it worked. Should've thought about it from the get go.

I love the look and the feel but I find the new font very hard to read for some reason.

When I enlarge the magnification to 125%, I have to use the horizontal scroll bar to read posts where I did not have to do so before. The screen snapped into its proper formatted, horizontal space (for lack of a better term/phrase) no matter how large the magnification with the previous format.

thanks. I actually got it at 25 but didn't believe the doctors since I was way too young until I went blind for a day. I like this new font but it's a little wonky on the eyes.

It's hard for me to watch HD TV or 3D movies too. It's distorted.Glad I'm old school and still like my tube Tvs. Ha.

Thats the same problem I have but have to use the vertical bar too.

I just figured out a way to maybe explain the problem I am having with the new format and my desktop monitor. I opened the MJJC website on my sister-in-law's laptop yesterday, and it was perfect, although small-so it must be formatted short and wide-like a laptop is.

It's like if you watch an old Cinemascope movie on a standard TV set-and it says: "This movie has been formated for your TV screen." And you realize when you're watching it that everything on the left side of the screen and the right side of the screen are cut off. If you watch the widescreen version of the Cinemascope movie, it has a black bar on top and a black bar on the bottom, but you can see the whole movie.

Is there a setting that I can maybe set my monitor to, so I can see the whole MJJC screen at once-maybe to squeeze it with a black bar at top and bottom-and not scroll up and down, left and right? (I'm not that computer savvy, but the screen I have is 16" diagonally. Actual size-11" high/13" across

Edited to add: I was in the chat room this afternoon and someone there told me that I could put my screen settings on 1280x1024 which is the max for a Dell monitor. And that worked. Now I can see the whole forum at one time. I'm updating this in case anyone else has the problem so they'll have the settings.

I have also found that I can use the Mobile version on the desktop-which is concise and easy to read-but it doesn't have the thank you button, and you can't see who is on, Other than that, it's easy to use.
Thank you.
