Shana Mangatal is publishing a book on Michael's Birthday 2016

Yuuuup and the only way you get media attention and/or to publish a book about MJ is to trash him with every false garbage that has ever been written about him. Conrat is using the same approach and getting rewarded for it.
 
I think she should have called the title "How Great It Is To Be Loved By ME" ... so many meanings behind that.

* Word play on an old song
* She was obsessed with Michael
* Speaks directly to how much she loves herself
* A peak into her narcissism

Would have been perfect!

Except MJ is on tape with clearly visible tooth/mouth problems in the Mexico deposition. Somewhere in that tape there is even a part where they ask him about it and when he complains about pain and they ask him if they should take a break (it's at 37:00). But it is clear all through the tape that something was with his tooth/mouth.

What a conniving witch she is. I don't even understand that level of cruelty. Michael always prided himself on being a hard worker and giving his all to the fans and she says he was making up "excuses" to pull out of shows when he was going through the most painful period of his life? She must be a sociopath because anyone with even a shred of compassion would understand why Michael was not able to perform at that point. It really bothers me when people dismiss his medical conditions and act like he was just a drug addict chasing the next high. It's so unfair to Michael because that's not who he was at all. And drugs aren't even a moral issue for me - I don't care what people put into their bodies as long as they're not hurting anyone else - but to think that Michael just wanted to live without pain, as healthy as he could, and got ridiculed and berated for it... it's just heartbreaking. Why do people think that's OK? Would you walk up to someone with a physical or mental condition on the street and mock them for needing medication? Is there anyone who doesn't use painkillers when they have a root canal treatment, for example? But suddenly when Michael does it he's a just another celebrity druggie. When Michael has a root canal treatment it doesn't hurt at all, apparently. -_- There was no sign of long-term drug or alcohol abuse in his autopsy report at all. End of story. Michael took the medication he was prescribed to treat his various conditions; it's not his fault that he had to deal with so many things at the same time. Of course, the propofol was a drastic measure but just imagine what utter desparation this man must have felt to go that far just to get some rest. I feel awful if I don't sleep well for one night but just think of what it feels like to battle insomnia for decades and to be under the enormous pressure that Michael was. I'm sure Michael would have preferred to be able to fall asleep naturally and have nice dreams but he wasn't. He thought he was being responsible when he hired a doctor to watch over him while he "slept". He knew he needed rest and this was his last resort. He deserves our compassion, not our judgment.

Facts be damned they're both going to write and release their books, and the media will eat it up.
The media eats up anything negative about Michael.
It's deplorable.

I still think "Me and My Beauty" is the best title. After all, that's what most of the book is about.
 
I told you all it was bad. Shana only cares about herself and that's it. The fact that she's complaining now about people taking her words out of context shows how crazy she is. I read the entire book and everything that has been posted has come from her book. The sentences before and after make no difference.

Reviews are so important when it comes to books like this. Anyone who has an Amazon account can rate and leave a comment on her book.

People deserve to know what kind of book this really is before they waste their money on it. She promised people this would be a positive book about Michael and it's anything but that. She basically took 3/4 of the tabloid stories that circulated in the 90's and confirmed them. She paints herself as an innocent victim in the book and makes Michael out to be a man with questionable intentions towards children, a womanizer, and a drug addict.
 
before the release I really was trying to be open about it.. You know she could have made a book that people would have actually enjoyed too.. I mean she was one of the few fans that got close enough to have SOME type of personal relationship with him.

If she just wrote a non egotistical view of her stories with MJ.. simple as that, no acting like it was more than what it was or talking about her being beautiful againnn..

I would have actually read a book from her, could have been uniquely interesting.. but no

It seems to me that the tabloids not only ridiculed and judged every single ailment or illness Michael suffered from, but also made them HIS OWN FAULT! Then, as you say, they mock and judge him for getting medication on top of all.

Society needs to grow up and learn that all addictions are serious medical/psychological conditions and not something shameful or devilish.
 
I'm surprised she hasn't sued him for sexual harassment with her "let's keep this a secret" claims of so called hook-ups during the filming of Ghosts.....oh wait that might be plan B if the book thang don't work out. ?

She really is just... a crazy self obsessed person.

I totally forgot about how she (and Grace????) basically tried to portray Shana as the last secret girlfriend and Shana's ass got exposed by how she wasn't.

Now if she'd really dated MJ at all... why did Grace lead anyone to believe she'd been his secret girlfriend when he died? Why would that have been necessary?

And importantly Firpo Carr told her he was going to admit she wasn't and she begged him not to.

She begged him to let it seem as though she was MJ's last secret girlfriend. Why would she want to lie like that?

It really all does make sense now. I actually remember that forum post. It came out of nowhere. Now it makes sense. It was her trying to seed the idea to the fandom again. Such desperation.

And her appealing to the MJ Hoax believing people - honestly this is all making so much sense! She's actually just a crazy manipulative narcissistic person and all of this adds up!

I just rolled my eyes and got disgusted when I realized her real agenda was to play into the tabloid stuff in order to sell books.
But the catty remarks about his work Ethic sent me over the deep end. That's beyond ridiculous.
She and her book aren't worth any of this attention she's getting in fan forums.

From what I have seen so far she operates like Taraborelli. He is trying to wrap it in the (superficial) appearance of being positive and sympathetic but always throwing underhanded shade and innuendo. At everyone, not just MJ, but he is most bitter at MJ (and Lisa) obviously. Smiling assassination, as someone put it in another forum.

She shades others too in her passive-aggressive way. For example, I wonder how Sandy Gallin feels about this:

I know Gallin is openly gay, but I wonder if he would be OK with Shana putting his business out there like that and portraying him as this gay sugar daddy. (Which may or may not be true, but it still doesn't mean he would be necessarily OK with Shana putting his business out there.)

And LOL @ her not realizing she was just a female version of those guys in terms of pimping herself (or trying to at least) to a wealthy and famous man for prestige and career.

I also came accross a part on Amazon where she describes meeting Madonna. She shades her too by saying she was unkempt (her words were something like "she could have used a hair wash") and seemed like under the influence of something.

It's just these tiny little jabs and shade at everyone she writes about. But she herself is always beautiful, always perfect.

She had a meltdown when Firpo Carr said he had been misled and did not believe they (Shana and Michael) were ever together. Shana was posting stuff all over Facebook saying Firpo had come on to her and the reason he was saying he didn't believe her was because she turned him down. I remember him saying he had messages from her begging him not to post a retraction. She denied those messages existed and then he posted them. Like many things before I overlooked that and still believed Shana.

A couple of years after Firpo's article Jacky Jasper posted something about Shana being Michael's secret girlfriend. I found out about it by seeing one of her friend's posts on her Facebook page. I had commented on that post and someone sent me a message saying that the source for Jacky's article was Shana's friend Lonel and some other guy whose name I can't remember. This person said she knew for a fact that they were the ones behind the whole thing and Shana was playing along acting like she didn't have any idea what was going on.

It all makes so much sense now. The only thing I don't understand is why Grace is or was involved in trying to convince people Shana was the last girlfriend. Grace's name isn't used in the book. She is called Nicole but it's quite obvious who it is.

yes-but didn't someone say she was mad at Grace at the time? So that deposition made sense to me, if that was the case. I thought she also asked for Grace at the hospital after the suicide attempt.

Don't ask me why I remember it that way, but I think I read it on a forum-not a tabloid. This is around the time the kids and cousins were on twitter and people were reporting what they were posting.

How does it help MJ (which she claims is the intent of her book) when in the context of the 1993 events she suggests you better believe tabloids than a star or his management because they are just doing "damage control"? It is also a clear attempt to suck up to tabloids to say that you better believe them than the star. Wow, just wow, Shana! What a two-faced witch!

Also the suggestion that he left the country to avoid being arrested is once again to "confirm" what tabloids claimed at the time that he was "running from the law". Except the tour was scheduled a long time before the Chandler mess even started. The second leg started in Bangkok on August 24, the search warrant was carried out on August 21. So how did MJ leave early just to be out of the country? When you go to a far away country like that you go a couple of days earlier to acclimatize. And he was on a tour that was sheduled LONG before the Chandler's started their mess. In fact MJ even wanted to cancel the tour but was threatened with lawsuits had he done so. In fact, he WAS later sued by Marcel Avram for cancelling tour dates:

In 1994, the promotion firm sued Jackson for more than $40 million, after he canceled a total of 19 dates of the Dangerous tour. At the time, Jackson faced allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor, although the official reason given for the cancellation was that he was addicted to painkillers. From all I know about her book / snippets that I have read I also believe that Shana definitely did not get as far with Michael as she wanted to and claims to. And now she seems on a huge EGO and hate trip. Like a little girl that did not get her fave toy and therefore is acting out BIG TIME.

I think Grace had been trying to do Shana a favor. We know from Paris already that Grace seems a little... strange at times.

It's a lot like how she got these other two guys who sued MJ to side by her and talk about how she was his girlfriend in the press and how MJ would talk about her with them etc - creepy sheisters sticking together.

It's interesting she gave Grace a fake name in the book though. Names and shames everyone except those who helped push her story out?
