Which of these three performances of this iconic song do you prefer? Personally i choose the top three as follows:

1. Triumph 1981
2. Bucharest 1992
3. Wembley 1988

It is a tough call between Bucharest & Wembley, but overall i think the power and soul in the 1992 performance is undeniably flawless. My reason for choosing the 1981 performance as number one is simple, his voice is exquisite.

I wasn't that impressed with the SOOML Wembley performance on the Bad tour, which is surprising considering how strong a show that is overall. I can't remember the version from the Triumph tour, but I remember thinking his vocals on SOOML at Burcharest were pretty darn good.

Favorite live vocal of all time!!

I voted - Wembley '88 - but acutally after listening to Zakks link it might actually be that one I prefer really.

I'll be shocked if their isn't a Blu-Ray of the Tour released! by far the Jackson's tour i'm most hoping to see officially released, his vocal during DSTYGE is flawless also

Surprised Toronto or Dallas 84 arent an option. The Victory tour was always the best to me.

Anywas, I'll go with Triumph

All three are beautiful and are sung differently. It's hard to pick really.

I might say Bucharest at a push.

Slightly separately, my favourite version is the demo from TII soundtrack.

Just that voice and a guitar. It makes the song timeless which makes it better from the original.

I agree! - That song is what made TII album worth buying really. Such a lovely version.
