Im Mittelpunkt steht die deutsche TV-Premiere der Dokumentation des amerikanischen Regisseurs Spike Lee.

It says the center of the 4-hour special ist the german TV-Premiere of the Spike Lee-documentation.

Normally this would mean the complete documentation. But we will see.

Hello Everyone :) Just came back from the Toronto screening ! Amazing documentary. Plus They have so much 35mm HD film ! They played APOM live but it was all HD film. Alternate version from music video. The quality of it was mind blowing on the big screen ! It was great to see fans come together to enjoy Michaels work. Plus they have the bad tour rehearsal footage on film :) Man in the mirror was amazing :) Sept 18 come already !! ;)

I am a bit disappointed that Germany is getting it before us. Spoilers are gonna be all over the net by the time thanksgiving roll in. I am gonna avoid all spoilers...I wanna see this on my TV November 22nd

Exactly. I'm affraid they're going to dub it though. I really wouldn't watch it if it's dubbed. I understand German pretty well, but it would take the magic of the docu. If it's dubbed, I guess we have to be patient and wait for a 2000Watts upload or the BBC airing.

I think if it's on TV it will be dubbed here. Most people are lazy to read subtitles. It doesn't bother me, since I will buy it on DVD anyway and then I can watch it in original.

But unfortunately I don't think it will be on TV here. Or if it will then in a year or so, not recently.

Hope oprah manages to see this doc. I seem to remember her a yr or two back before she set up her failing tv network, saying to some magazine that she 'didn't want to be michael jackson' as she had heard that he was paralysed with fear after the success of thriller to do anything. Also would like those jokers in the press who came out with their ridic articles comparing (favourably) katy perry's teenage dream with bad, around the time of perry getting her 5th no 1, to watch this doc.

Yes, I was just thinking about, after my initial joy of the news. I'm pretty sure they're gonna dub it over, which makes it almost useless ...

As a current resident of Germany, I think I can pretty confidently state that yes, it will be a miracle if it's not dubbed over. However... such miracles have occurred... TII was subtitled! *fingers crossed*

Dear friends, this post is our last option on our effort to organize a BAD25 film screening in Athens Greece.

Greek Sony Music shows no interest in helping to screen the film in Athens. We (michaeljackson.gr) want to show the film to the large Greek MJ fanbase that we represent and all greek fans for ONLY one screening, non profit. Local Sony Music branch has NO events or promo planned for BAD25 album or Spike's film, depriving the hundrends of our members for the unique chance to watch the film. The demand is huge and we do plan to show the film somehow. But projecting a dvd rip version of the upcoming tv broadcasts is not the desired option for us and something unprofessional. Greek fans deserve a single screening, given we run a very active community for MJ in Europe. In our previous conversation Spike's production company 40 ACRES informed us that all screenings are arranged by SONY as the film was simply directed by Mr. Lee. 40 Acres adviced us to contact SONY Greece and arrange a possible projection. After waiting for a reply for more than 15 days we were told us they will not be involved in promoting the BAD25 project and will simply release the album on the market as an import. Our question is: can we bypass the local branch and ask for a proper screening from U.S. Sony or any other branch? Is there any way any of you here can help us in this effort?

I'm sure Mr. Lee will understand how important this is to the local fans of all ages. I am sure that there is more to do about this than being frustrated and we want to try and make it happen.

Confirmed the premiere of the film 'BAD25' in Brazil!

The display of the highly anticipated documentary will happen during the Rio Film Festival (September 27 - October 11), but has no date set.

It is possible that even Spike Lee attend the meeting and participate in a press conference during the event.

:) Happy to see some positivity in the media for once.. Seeing how much praise the Bad album is getting and how people are saying that it had a lukewarm reception back then but looking back now it's a musical gem..makes me feel a little sad that Michael isn't here to appreciate those kind words. Imagine how that would have made him feel. "Michael essentially invented the music video, and invented visual touring, and invented this and that.." I think MJ would have had tears (of joy) in his eyes hearing people talk about him like this after all he'd been through.. But you know what, deep down i think Michael understood that. As he once noted that most artists and their work is appreciated later one, after they pass. So I hope he knew that this would happen one day, because it seems to me that alot of reports suggest just how depressed and scared he was that his legacy had waned after all the hardships..
