Thank you message from Dr. Shafer to all the fans for their letters

Ivy, thank you so much for sharing this!

I'm so happy that he liked our 'giving tree'! :)
It was a great honour for me to arrange everything for this present to be delivered to him on behalf of Russian and Ukrainian MJ fans and our LJ community.

He does play the piano and as I guess this one is in his home, he plays it no doubt :)

thank you for doing this !

That's very sweet, like a symbolic birch from these lands as Giving Tree.

He so gets it, to photograph the tree next to the piano. Bless him, he so understands.

-cough- Envelope.

...I see he has a keyboard also, would be nice if he could play it for us sometime lol. But my his Haus is cluttered. Or maybe it just seems that way from this specific angle. o_o

His Haus is cluttered?? Du muesstest mal meine Kueche sehen. It's not a industrial sterile steel kitchen- but the kitchen of someone who obviously enjoys a kitchen as warm hangout- including a digital piano. (mine actually comes out of it's traditional legs in the same way- I love that it's in the kitchen, I can see my instruments from my coffee machine as well.)

Man, what a sweetheart.
The kitchen is sort of the less cluttered version of Michael's bedroom. I bet Michael is all for a midi controller in the kitchen, just in case inspiration hits over making stew.

Actually, I have no idea how he got to know about the 'giving tree' name background but he caught on to our hidden meaning and perfectly got a feel of its true nature as shown on the photo he made.

Vinter thank you so much for making it real.

Yes, it's a bit crowded for my liking, but don't worry. I don't think he's a sick person for it. =P

Not everyone likes the sterile surroundings I like.

Hmmmmmm...so no mention of my marriage proposal?

J/K

He is such a class act...I wish MJ had a real doctor like Dr Schafer. He is just incredible!!

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Thanks for that. I remember commenting during the trial that he was a cutie too. What a lovely man, and I am glad he knows how fans love him for being ethical.

^Oh yes, he is totally hot in his own unique way. Second hottest, in my book. Third place goes to Judge Pastor, and Dr. Steinberg gets honourable mention. :3

For that I can forgive his crowded kitchen.

^You're welcome. I noticed they all have grey hair. xD

And beauty makes even the worst of crimes forgivable. Funny how humans work. Not that having a crowded kitchen is a horrible crime, but I'm speaking generally.

Snape HA I hope you are not on the same tidy level as Monk on that TV show. I may have to do some therapy with you. The Giving Tree will no doubt stand out.

^I don't watch American tellyvishun so I have no idea what you're talking about. =o

Yes, the tree is nice.

Snape he is a former detective who has an array of psychological problems. One of them is having everything neat, squares together, circles together, objects arranged by size order, every thing in its place, dirt in its place, smells in their place, all suits same color, not walking on cracks on the street--I think you get the picture. This is an old show. Believe me Monk would not tolerate that giving tree in the kitchen.

It's not the giving tree so much as the whole conglomeration of dishes he has out of their proper place, and the weird thing hanging above what I think is the sink. Also the flower plant thing behind his keyboard... you can't have the Giving Tree and the flower, it's too crowded. Nor a keyboard on the table! D8

All in all, though, Dr. Shafer's plant table pieces are still better than Flanagan's weird salt and pfeffer shakers. o_O'' [Yes, I judge people not by the colour of their skin, nor by the content of their character, but by the tidiness of their kitchens and the decorations they choose to display].

I have to say, the table won me over. It's so shiny and gorgeous. x3 Too bad all that stuff is on it.

LOL I think the kitchen looks warm and inviting.

Can anyone make out what the sign says that's hanging under the cupboard?

^OMG I just noticed his cupboard is open. -twitch- And no, I can't make out what the sign says at all. It's probably one of those signs with cheesy messages some people like to hang in their houses.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. You are killing me here. Actually I thought the cupboard had a glass door, but maybe you guys are right and it is open. Shafer is a brain so he needs a kitchen that is warm and friendly. He probable spends a lot of time in it, so putting the gifts there shows that he is very appreciative. I love that the room seems to be very sunny. You could almost smell the cookies baking. Snape would you eat cookies that are backed in a room that is crowded, where the cupboard doors are opened, and where a crazy sign is hanging.

WOW

Thanks Ivy for posting this and thanks to DR. Shafer  for being such a 'gentleman'... He's truly one of a kind in the field of Doctors :D

Dr. Shafer's kitchen makes me want to make myself a nice cup of coffee and bake some chocolate chip cookies. I have a small kitchen so this big one is nice. But I can see how all the clutter would drive Snape up the wall lol. :D

^^HAAA Snape has a good sense of humor and the kitchen does seem inviting to me to.

I think it says "if mama aint happy aint nobody happy" now he'll regret he sent a picture.

I hope he always receives some random message of love from an MJ fan every year :)

Same for Mesereau and Walgren/Brazil.

I didn't say the sign was crazy--I said it was cheeeeeesy. v_v They're actually fairly common in American kitchens, which is why I can say with due confidence it most probably has something cheesy as all fxxk inscribed on it. However, most people don't hang them above their sinks. o_o''

And yes at first I thought it was a glass door also, but upon closer inspection, I saw the cupboards were open. Yes, he's intelligent, but that doesn't mean he needs a warm kitchen. Lotsa dumb people with the aforementioned signs have warm kitchens. =p However, he probably does spend some time there since there's a keyboard there. At least he doesn't have demented condiment dispensers like Flanagan.

...And I eat cookies from anywhere, my favourite kind are from strangers driving windowless vans, though.

EDIT: It has been confirmed, if what Ivy says is true, the sign is indeed cheesy af. But not the cheesiest I've seen.

Oh i'm sure mr walgren, or dave as he's popularly known round these parts, will be getting messages of love from mj fans, and not all of them particularly random.

What a kind man dr shafer is, and to send us a photo too. Poor man having his kitchen analysed, we're all really nosy!

The acknowledgments Shafer got from fans must have meant more to him than the $1,000s White got for his testimony. I also wishes he gets thank you tokens in the future.

I mean that sh-t.

Actually, now that I think about it, I prefer Dr. Shafer's kitchen to this... Clutter on table, weird/ugly condiment dispensers, ugly Chernoff, ugliest plant I've ever seen, ugly gross food, ugly placemat, ugly chair, ugly whatever that thing is behind Chernoff. You get my drift.

But on the other hand... cheesy sign, clutter on table, two plants... -twitch- Dr. Steinberg, please tell me you have an awesome kitchen! 8D *holds on to his arm* If you win I'll make you a sammich!

That's the risk you run when you put anything in public, lol, and I'm only half-joking anyway. :p I have an idea, they should both hire me to redecorate their kitchens! For Dr. Shafer, I'll do it for free! :D

Whenever anyone says "nosy," I'm always reminded of Dr. Phil prank calls and all the intrusive questions he asks, lol. xD

But anyway, I'm sure Doc here will continue to get fan mail forevermore, whereas Doc White will be a sad turtle.
