The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Michael's Affirmation is so interesting, like i get why he made it but damn, even if it was Photographs that came first and not the other way around, the fact he put together a whole track for just a short "get well soon" voicemail...extensive but what the hell, sure lmao. imagine he did that for all voicemails ever💀
They should make an album of Michael's poetry and voicemails ala that one posthumous Tupac record from like 20 years ago lol

Just listened to ‘Ghost of another lover’ again for the first time in ages. If that song ever comes out I will be the happiest man alive (although I say that about a lot of unreleased songs lol).

It’s such a mysterious track tho, who did he record it with? I know Thom Russo, but there had to be other guys in the room the moment he put vocals on it. Still very intrigued by it.

If I even have something like that, this is my HOLY GRAIL !!!

It seems to resemble Mind is the Magic closest in terms of sound, in my opinion, especially the use of sound effects. It certainly doesn’t sound like it was recorded after 1990, so perhaps Loren was involved in production?

That being said, I seem to recall Loren stating on the MJCast that he wasn’t particularly involved in Mind is the Magic, and that it was mostly an MJ-led production. So the same could be said here. I certainly don’t think GOAL is written and produced solely by Thom Russo, it’s got MJ’s (circa 1989) prints all over it.

Did Brad really call "Speechless" "candy ass"? Lol I thought he liked that song (EDIT: Ah, I'm thinking of Bruce Swedien)

Lashawn Daniels wrote and sang the full demo of you don’t love me by Michael Jackson which was originally written for Brandy on her second album Never Say Never

It's definitely one I've been waiting to hear in hq for a long time. I think it's unlikely MJ recorded any more vocals for it but I would definitely like to hear the mix he worked on before he passed.

Are you referring to the CD mentioned in the court documents? Mix 7 is the final mix that Michael Prince did. It's a different arrangement of instruments and background vocals. The lead vocals are still the same. It's a very "pumping" song.

When I say "I am the source," that says little. Michael Prince can answer your question if you want definitive proof. GOAL is my holy grail, and I will protect it for as long as I can.
So the lead vocals are the same as in the LQ leak we already have? I was hoping that MJ recorded proper vocals for that song

It's probably been discussed to death, but do we know if Throwing Your Life Away is actually out there in traders/leakers circles?

@mjfan_93: Indeed. The lead vocals are the same. It’s a very complex song. I don't know if there are any more mixes. As far as I know, Mix 7 is the last one Michael Prince did.

The LQ YouTube video doesn't do it justice.

@innuendo141 I have the full-length '88 demo. I heard that some French people have a copy as well. But I don't know who exactly.

@Saka21, I had to scroll up pretty far to find out who that person is, but it's definitely not me. Interesting name.

Interesting. Where did you come across it? Are you a trader or something?

Any solid info on who's written & composed goal?
