verse, chorus, verse, chorus, guitar solo bridge, chorus, key change chorus and adlibs. You've essentially heard the entire song.In Rocker, is there any element or cool part we haven't heard yet, or can we basically say we've heard the whole track? @GYWOOM
It's just the mumbled verse -> chorus -> chorus that builds up with ad-libs, right? That's it?
It seems like they both have full choruses, but by all accounts the verses in “Boy No” are mostly coherent even though they’re clearly unfinished. The verses in “Rocker” are apparently just mumbles and incoherent ad-libbing.Which one more finished boy no or rocker
Boy No's verses actually have lyrical content. Far from complete, it's just scratch vocals. But there are lyrics. Rocker's only coherent lyrics are the chorus and adlibs. You could argue that you can hear words on the first verse, but not really.Which one more finished boy no or rocker
You've only heard the chorus really. And partial snippet of the first verse
Ignoring the verbal diarrhea on top of the snippet I like how the guitar chords sounds so similar to "Days In Gloucestershire" and that it's such a prominent part of the song, it really brings out the vibe that "Boy No" is like the somber version of it. I'm also curious to know whether there are still new parts of the song we're yet to hear or if we've practically heard everything.
They aren't from the DAT. Probably self-made "demastered".i don't know if these come from the Ebay tape, but i found them on YT together with the alternate mix of Threatened
Yeah but does the melody change between the verses? How does the song end? Does it end with a fade-out like in DIG or is there a new part? You've only heard the chorus really. And partial snippet of the first verse
I haven't heard anything past the first chorus unfortunatelyYeah but does the melody change between the verses? How does the song end? Does it end with a fade-out like in DIG or is there a new part?
There's also this snippet that includes an instrument which isn't heard on the other snippets, do you know what part of the song it's from?
There’s a bridge with a guitar and a synth string melody that sounds rly coolIn Rocker, is there any element or cool part we haven't heard yet, or can we basically say we've heard the whole track? @GYWOOM

Brad used that same guitar sound on EVERYTHING

How would you know? I mean there ARE tools to restore dynamics and he probably would've used some eq to get rid of the high frequencies. (Which he probably didn't do, because the claps still would sound too clean)They aren't from the DAT. Probably self-made "demastered".
*Edit* Yes, 100% self-made, it's especially obvious on Unbreakable.
From what you heard of Boy No… would you say that it could be released? Maybe as a duet? How finished are the verse lyrics? You've only heard the chorus really. And partial snippet of the first verse
Oh no, we're not doing that again. How would you know? I mean there ARE tools to restore dynamics and he probably would've used some eq to get rid of the high frequencies. (Which he probably didn't do, because the claps still would sound too clean)
But let's compare the BOD leak with the actual track. The peaks of the leaked version are definitely more prominent:
It visually looks a bit like the unmastered version of YRMW:

Those leaks can't be vinyl versions either, because you don't hear any noise at the end.
When it comes to Neverland Landing, validly so I fear. Also thats kinda the whole point of this thread so...We're really arguing over half-assed pieces of music from decades ago btw. Let's remember that for a second.
Yeah I wish I downloaded thatAnyone have a backup of this? Was about 21 seconds in HQ, "One soul, one heart, one life" , then ad libs
Enlighten me please:History lesson for today: eBay already existed in 2001.
You know, that magical place where people were already buying and selling Sony promo CDs — including the uncompressed Butterflies version and other “rare” mixes.
That exact mix appeared on several official 2001 promo discs.
And guess what? I just found one in two clicks:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/372834141616
So maybe double-check your “I was there” stories next time.

I was simply pointing out that those mixes weren’t special or exclusive — they were already available on official promo CDs in 2001.Enlighten me please:
In which context does it matter if eBay exited in 2001?
And furthermore: How and why does it matter if you can find such an eBay listing today?
How does that pertain to Korgnex sharing those mixes in (I think it was) 2011 for free?
I'm feeling inclined to ask YOU, in which magical place YOU existed in 2001? (probably not existed at all..)
And in 2011? (existed in mommy's womb or maybe kindergarden already..)
It's a scratch vocals, Mike sings it like he's bored/nonchalantly. But there are lyrics. It could've been finished had Mike had polished his vocal delivery. Ok, Korgi —
You’re absolutely right. Getting 8K in one payment isn’t the same as getting 8K in smaller parts.
That totally makes sense, as always, holy Korgnex.
Still, isn’t it a bit strange that none of the people who were involved have spoken up to defend you?
I mean, if I had really made all of that up, they probably would have.
Also, I’m fine not being a mod — but if I were, I’d still feel completely justified in warning others about you.
Sorry for spamming this thread, though.
I’ll stop now even tho korgi will reply again with "it's out of context".
The king of pop masterings were brickwalled. They were one of the loudest releases since they were made during the loudness war. I listen to the italian version quite often (on Tidal) because of One More Chance, so I know. Now that I think about it, pretty sure that the BoD mix is from one of the many "King of Pop" compilations, they included a little bit better masters for the Invincible tracks (just looked it up: Unbreakable, Invincible, Break of Dawn, You Rock My World, Butterflies, Speechless, You Are My Life, Cry, We've Had Enough).
--> BoD is on Indian and Russian KoP editions.
Unbreakable is utter crap though and not from the Spain edition of KoP.
I did name the source once: It was a 12-track Sony CD with 3 MJ tracks. Even in the thread I mentioned I found the same mix on another CD. Later turned out there are several collector items with that mix - not sure if they are all the same mastering though.I was simply pointing out that those mixes weren’t special or exclusive — they were already available on official promo CDs in 2001.
By the way, Korgnex never mentioned where he got this “special version”… maybe to make it a mystery, as he tends to do.
I actually bought that exact one on eBay back then for about 5 €.
So no, this wasn’t some hidden gem only a chosen few had access to.
And for the record, there’s really no need to act like Korgnex is some sort of sacred figure. We can discuss facts without turning it into hero worship.
Also, that specific version had already been posted on the Michael Jackson Angel Forum back in the day.
Now, if you’re wondering what the Angel Forum even was… well, you kinda had to be born before 2000 to know.![]()
Not all KoP variants had the same level of brickwalling. And even brickwalling itself is not an indicator for the same master or a horrible master, it's just nof full dynamics. The physical German Edition had a better master of "We've Had Enough" IIRC. Digital releases on Tidal & Co. should - in theory - be identical to the physical releases but that's not always the case. I wasn't chasing the KoP variants so I don't have all the details anyway. The king of pop masterings were brickwalled. They were one of the loudest releases since they were made during the loudness war. I listen to the italian version quite often (on Tidal) because of One More Chance, so I know.
But I think this banter doesn't belong here, so I'mma drop it.
