The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

It’s hard to judge based on snippets, but initial thoughts:

“Changes” is still very meh. Not my favorite.

“Dark Lady” isn’t at all what I was expecting based on the multiple descriptions. Hearing MJ over 2000s hip hop drums is a trip lol. I’m dying to hear more because this one’s a bit hard to make out.

“Innocent Man” is a bit of a letdown. He sounds extraordinary and the production is lovely, but the melody doesn’t do much for me.

“Remember What I Told You” is absolutely stunning. I don’t need to hear more to know that I love it.

“Rocker” sounds cool! Would love to hear the guitar solo I’ve heard comes in later on.

As it stands, “Dark Lady” and “Remember What I Told You” are at the top of my list. But even for the snippets I’m not crazy for, today has been absolutely insane. Thank you to everyone who shared these!

It's interesting that from what we've been hearing so far it seems that Michael was sort of distancing from pop music in his final years. Sure, we know he was working with producers like Will.i.am and RedOne, but judging from the songs that are primarily written by him it seems to all have been gothic, ballads, hip-hop, classical music, movie scores, anything but pop music. If Michael was still around I think these would most definitely have been the kind of music we'd be see him put out after TII. Just stuff made out of passion instead of chart hits.

My thoughts on the snippets.
Innocent Man: Lovely melody but not something to lose my mind with. Good to hear tho

Dark Lady: Tbh I was expecting it to be different but I will have to hear more to decide if it's something I like.

Rocker: Sounds phenomenal. I can imagine Mike going wild with on the song. Might be one of the last "bangers" in the vault.

Adore You: My absolute favourite. This haunting feeling, this powerful choir, all building up to an Epic ending. Bravo! I always knew that this song should be special.

Just Remember: Seems to be up there too. This could be easily one of his most beautiful ballads. But still we need to head more.

Rocker is just a nearly completed but also distorted chorus and mumbling, so you pretty much heard the best

It's probably obvious, but I just realized that practically all the tracks of the 2 posthumous albums (except Another Day and Much Too Soon) are pop or were remixed to make them pop, something very different from what Michael was working on, and I think it's stupid that Estate considers that only pop songs can be hits

These snippets are brilliant, even though they're short, they give us an insight into Michael's last works

Thank you for those who shared the snippets. I have no idea how the traders keep these things to themselves, if I got sent Ghost Of Another Lover by someone, I'd be messaging @Themidwestcowboy @AlwaysThere @Fuzball sharing it with the guys. Probably why I'm not a trader 😅

Who Do You Know and Lovin' You are the only songs that I go back to. The best of the unreleased stuff we have been given so far, IMO.

The best album cuts for me are:

1. Monkey Business
2. Chicago 1945
3. Hot Street
4. Nite Line
5. Cheater
6. Xscape
7. We've Had Enough
8. She Was Loving Me (Now Chicago)
9. Behind The Mask
10. Love Never Felt So Good

All are truly fantastic songs.

I've heard most of these songs discussed recently, years and years ago. In their full length. Im glad the fans are able to get an idea of them. I always said Rocker had SO much potential. Innocent Man is beautiful, Remember What I Told You and Adore You are magical just like Speechless. Such a shame these songs never reached their final stages.

Agreed, these songs even in their rawest form sound amazing. I've been strongly desiring to hear those songs ever since I read your descriptions years ago, when I was a lurker in this forum. Can't believe we're finally hearing it for ourselves.

A couple of questions: If you had to pick one, are you able to say which of those songs that leaked (could even be unleaked!) is your favorite or that you like the most?

And also a bit more of a specific one, but is there a part of those songs which hasn't been heard yet that was the most remarkable to you? Like a bridge, an outro, a section, etc.?

Wow, what a great day for MJ fans!
Still cant believe it. Sad though that MJ couldnt finish those songs.

I have a question to all the insiders/collectors:

Do you know if there is at least one post-trial song that has enough proper/complete vocals and could be released (on an Xscape kinda album)?

Not counting the will.i.am and RedOne songs. I mean stuff MJ started by himself and worked on with BB, MP and Neff-U. I would consider a song „complete enough“ if it has at least the amount and vocal quality of the Hollywood Tonight demo.

In no order:
Xscape
Streetwalker (both 87 and 88 versions)
Cheater
Hot Street
Carousel
Chicago 1945
Do You Know Where Your Children Are (1986)
A Place With No Name
Sunset Driver
Price of Fame
TYLA or Serious Effect

Dangerous This Is It Rehearsals (proof they rehearsed at least once with MJ??):
That Dangerous leak on TII sounds fake to me.
Kenny's voice, and the overlapping MJ phrasing "DANGEROUS," sound familiar, like recordings I've heard before from other parts of This Is It. I don't speak the language, so I'm not 100% sure.

The "live vocals" near the end could easily be taken from the mic feed from 1997 or from some Dangerous Tour Rehearsal. It doesn't sound like a real rehearsal to me, but more like an audio montage.

Days of Gloucestershire maybe, I am a Loser? The Future? Not sure what else

DIG is super incomplete, The Loser has more vocals but he is singing with very low effort imo. I know it was considered for Xscape but i just cant see a big release for that one. Sad cos i like it a lot. Both songs are pre-trial.

The Future is from will.i.am. I dont think we will ever get those tbh.

Btw, what’s the difference between the version of Xscape that leaked years ago and the released original one in the album?

Lots of misinformation on this thread. I will add what I know, since it's being talked about publicly in here.

-Rocker
-Water
-Monster
-Adore You
-Remember What I Told You
-Can't Get Your Weight Off Me
-The Toy
-Chicago 1945
-Throwing Your Life Away
-Changes
-Neverland Landing
-Peter Pan
-Make A Wish
-Buffalo Bill

All of these songs exist and are in various stages of completion. They all have at least SOME vocals. I have personally heard them in their entirety and can verify they are 100% legit. I can only hope they are one day released. There are many others, but I can only comment on the songs I've heard with my own ears.
What can you tell about Buffalo Bill?

Edit: Actually is this one legit? I notice there's that same sound Korgnex edited in on his snippet.

TBH.. I was not sure myself. This also could be done dangerous tour rehearsal
