Seconded. The Estate would rather sit on their laurels than try to finish the songs in an authentic manner.Effort and the estate of Michael Jackson mix like water and oil.

The wiki and the tracker both have their sources confirming there were no verses. Any new info claiming it has verses is unproven. So how about instead of accusing me of making shit up, you do your own research?on top of that, summertime has verses, the 2014 remix had d'angelo, jesse johnson, eric leeds & mary J on the track. I think this guy is making shit up for fun.
I never said they were finished, vocally finished is different.Vocally finished ≠ Finished
Important distinguishing detail.
The songs on Xscape are perfect examples of this. So them saying there are extremely little “finished” songs left to release isn’t really a lie. Outright claiming there are NONE is though. The matter of finishing them would lie with the estate and they’d need to bring someone in to do it, which requires effort. Effort and the estate of Michael Jackson mix like water and oil.
Sources? Is Michael on the chorus or is it the reworked one?Hot fun has verses as well. I've heard them.
Maybe the 1989 version is, but the 1986 one isn’tJoe Vogel said Make Or Break was complete iirc
For those saying it isn’t, literally anything is possible. People had SW ‘87 and MIB, and we know some Teddy tracks are going around like BOTDF ‘91Pretty sure Joy is quietly going ‘round in private circles
I feel like distinguishing the 1998 and 2013 versions would've gone a long way to provinf your credibility because as far as I know, the 1998 version is the one that lacks any verses beyond maybe the first. The wiki and the tracker both have their sources confirming there were no verses. That one isn't circulating from anything I've heard and im fairly tapped in to alot of people, not sure where you heard thatFor those saying it isn’t, literally anything is possible. People had SW ‘87 and MIB, and we know some Teddy tracks are going around like BOTDF ‘91
Source is trust me broSources? Is Michael on the chorus or is it the reworked one?
I'm honestly pretty surprised this song hasn't leaked given how many people had their hands on it during production and it was seemingly pulled from release fairly last minute.Casey Rain - who heard the 2014 Xscape remix of Hot Fun in the Summertime said “he [Michael] sings the full first verse and the chorus. The song only has two verses”. It’s worth noting that Casey Rain also heard the studio isolated vocal of Michael singing it, so it’d be hard for him to get Michael’s voice confused with the others on the song when he heard the studio acapella. He’s spoken about how he heard the 2014 Hot Fun several times on his X account.
Damien Shields heard the 2003 demo (pre Mary J Blige, Questlove, D’angelo), saying “What I heard only had part of the chorus and some background vocals. Very underwhelming” - but the version of Tomboy he heard at the copyright office had no vocals whatsoever which Joe Vogel said Michael recorded vocals for.
Edit: Branca also claims in an interview that there’s no verse vocals, so lots of conflicting info about this song…
“Mr. Branca explained that Michael has recorded multiple harmonies for the chorus of this song, but unfortunately not any of the verses”
but tbh I would trust Casey Rain’s memory/story much more than Branca given his track record. Casey Rain has talked about hearing this track so many times and always maintains consistent details - it was probably a very memorable listening experience so it’d be hard to forget.
That’s EXACTLY what I was just thinking… so many people will have copies of Hot Fun. If World of Candy can somehow be leaked, nothing is off the table at this point.I'm honestly pretty surprised this song hasn't leaked given how many people had their hands on it during production and it was seemingly pulled from release fairly last minute.
I recall that Casey first said that MJ recorded two verses, then changed it to one. So not sure id consider their memory totally reliable.Casey Rain - who heard the 2014 Xscape remix of Hot Fun in the Summertime said “he [Michael] sings the full first verse and the chorus. This is the correct information about Hot Fun.Casey Rain - who heard the 2014 Xscape remix of Hot Fun in the Summertime said “he [Michael] sings the full first verse and the chorus. "Underwhelming" isn't the word I would use. Michael didn't put any effort into the demo, which I would label a scratch vocal.Damien Shields heard the 2003 demo (pre Mary J Blige, Questlove, D’angelo), saying “What I heard only had part of the chorus and some background vocals. Very underwhelming”
Where and how have you heard Hot Fun?I've posted about it before on here, but I've also heard it. I really loved it. The only thing is that, like most of the remixes on Xscape, the version I heard sounds a bit too produced. But they did a good job incorporating the other voices to flesh out the song. The way how it is mixed, it doesn't sound too much like scratch vocals. I would compare it to how the demo of "This is It" sounds compared to the produced version. The verse he sings is a bit more "demo" sounding than the chorus, but it still sounds good. And that song is just awesome anyway, so the whole thing sounds great. I wish they would release it. This, by the way, is the only "unreleased" song I ever heard before a leak and I can't/won't describe how I was able to hear it multiple times.

Where and how have you heard Hot Fun?
The tracker is not a reliable source sadly. There’s too much guesswork and unconfirmed observations in there. It needs an overhaul. The wiki and the tracker both have their sources confirming there were no verses. Any new info claiming it has verses is unproven. So how about instead of accusing me of making shit up, you do your own research?
Yea but at least its maintained by set people unlike the wiki...The tracker is not a reliable source sadly. There’s too much guesswork and unconfirmed observations in there. It needs an overhaul.
Also, please try not to get aggressive. We can confront accusations and claims peacefully.
So either a seminar or a collector/gatekeeper let you hear itThis, by the way, is the only "unreleased" song I ever heard before a leak and I can't/won't describe how I was able to hear it multiple times.
Yea, I'm even surprised not even a snippet has leaked. Must be a really good song if it hasn't leakedI'm honestly pretty surprised this song hasn't leaked given how many people had their hands on it during production and it was seemingly pulled from release fairly last minute.
It’s in more hands than you would expect – and luckily, it hasn’t fallen into the hands of someone who needs to release every song for whatever reason.Collectors have It?? Questlove?
We haven’t heard a snippet
I apologize, I just dont like getting accused like thatAlso, please try not to get aggressive. We can confront accusations and claims peacefully.
The estate gives us jack shit, you saying that makes it feel like leaks are bad when these songs are NEVER gonna be released...It’s in more hands than you would expect – and luckily, it hasn’t fallen into the hands of someone who needs to release every song for whatever reason.
They will be released. We will just be dead by then lol.The estate gives us jack shit, you saying that makes it feel like leaks are bad when these songs are NEVER gonna be released...
I truly understand that fans want to hear and see all kinds of material featuring Michael. Ultimately though, it’s about the money. You can’t expect people to devalue material by leaking it if they or others have paid thousands of dollars for it. Some people want to keep things for themselves, and I think that needs to be respected. However, I wish there was an option that would allow fans to hear and see unreleased material without it leaking afterwards. That’s why seminars have been so special (at least for me).The estate gives us jack shit, you saying that makes it feel like leaks are bad when these songs are NEVER gonna be released...
