:no: no its not, its something that has been reported by hasnt the evidence to back those claims up, other one reports suggest that he made them to agree by signing contracts and if he was to make a Black version like they say then that claim becomes further discredited.

just another myth that he wanted to make a black version of the Taj Mahal, I think some people refer to it as the shadow of Taj Mahal.

ok on a serious note... I know

Shahjahan wanted to built the Taj mahal with black granite marble stones,
for his wife but in 22 yrs of making tajmahal, since his wife died and gradually tajmahal turned into a tomb and normally tombs are of white in color, he might have given up the plan for black version :)

Other reports suggest that he didnt have the chance too because his son took power from him.
