I'm sure this has been posted before, (thread started in 2008), but I went over to Jermaine's VEVO channel and this popped up first. Love the song, and really love the video a la Robert Palmer. Cute!!! :)

I'd Like To Get To Know You

Kashif, who just passed away, produced this 1989 song for Jermaine. It was written by the lead singer for Surface, Bernard Jackson. Members of Surface have also worked on a few Rebbie songs.

Thanks for posting that song Duran. I really enjoyed it.

I was listening to the radio while driving home from work today when the host announced the news.
I was like, "Aww man! We've lost another one. :(
A super talented singer, songwriter and producer, he was responsible for a lot of hit songs.
One of my faves is entitled, So Fine, by Howard Johnson. Along with Jermaine's projects, he also produced songs
for Whitney Houston, Evelyn "Champagne" King and many others.

Rest in peace Michael Jones....aka Kashif.

You're welcome. Kashif's sound was popular on R&B radio during the early 1980s and mid 1980s. He had an Unsung episode around a year ago

Yashi Brown

Here's a video uploaded yesterday (Dec. 14) with Yashi (Rebbie's daughter) & Jermaine. They're talking about lyrics people have sent in, and Yashi is singing the song at the end

I saw the show on TV yesterday and enjoyed him being interviewd. He seems to be always so polite and comes across as balanced and smart. But when he started "I´ll be There", I just switched channels. I don´t like him singing the songs that were sung by Michael and live through Michael´s voice. :-(

Would have watched his other performance, though, but I missed that one.

On the news yesterday, they were showing clips of the celebrations around the world and I saw this-but didn't realize Jermaine was there. Thank you for posting-Jermaine sounded GREAT.

Yes Jermaine does sound great. He still got it.

Thanks for posting the videos.
I like the Michael inspired outfits they are wearing in the other video too...with the glitter pants, zipper pants and the armbands.

Thanks you guys.
