The small moments you love

towards the fade out of 'looking through the windows', after letting his brothers ride the chorus, he chimes in with 'aw, baby!'. such unexpected charisma and power! :)

Loved how he automatically started bopping his head when Baby Be Mine started playing in those latest outtakes from the L'uomo Vogue photoshoot.

Discovering the "Blood On The Dance Floor" rehearsal pictures. I had no idea they existed. It took place so long ago and I found out today, haha ! :)

I had no idea these were a thing! Thank you for pointing me in that direction!! And I guess for me it's that simple, the times when he smiles, when he was truly happy. That was all I really ever wanted for him. Happiness.

Another single moment that stood out for me was hearing the words "Not guilty" ring out like church bells across the small town of Santa Maria. Still the greatest moment of my life and I hope at that moment, Michael fealt the weight wash from his shoulders ifonly for a second xx

I love the entire Smooth Criminal, Mike is effortlessly cool in it.

One moment that always stands out for me is around 1.30 into it (full 9 minute version) when the woman puts her hand on his chest and the way he never breaks eye contact as he removes her hand. A tiny moment but it sets the tone of the short film so well.

The hi-hat cymbals in "Smooth Criminal Bremen 92" are official, jack. I love the way they help his moves be more potent. :)

Speaking of official, thanks a lot Jonathan Moffett. :)

The way he doesn't enunciate 'T' when talking, especially when saying "it's" - "Really, is a jubilation is what it is"

His "winks" in the Suzuki commercials

The way he handles the microphone leads in the Jacksons era

His attitude in Jackson 5 songs e.g. "when you touch me" at 2:05

@LeKuroKami
The feel MJ gives you is undefeated.

I always love small things about Michael. His little vocal hiccups in songs, his laugh, every small thing that made him so loveable as a human being.

''Everybody sing'' from pretty much every Human Nature performance

The intro of "Why You Wanna Trip On Me". The guitar has that Aerosmith accent. The part after "the fireworks" reminds me of his dance moves in Ghosts. Especially the "mayor part".

Bad live in Oslo when the mic stand starts swinging side to side and he moves side to side with it. Such great improvisation, it’s the small things like that which made him such a genius.

I love that part and the way he looks down the camera for the line "if you don't like what I'm saying", I watched it with my girlfriend and she had Goosebumps at that part, she said Mike felt so close, like it was a live broadcast

The end of 30th anniversary I'll Be There "Heeeeeeeeeee !" combined with the beautiful harmony of his brothers reaches my soul. :D

Fast forward to 4:09.

what a lovely thread! I should visit more often :)

I like when we can hear him sing along with the backing track during the making of the 'beat it' video.

I love his enthusiasm when narrating the part of the e.t storybook when they fly on their bikes; 'higher, and higher.. woo-hoo!'

that's all I have for now, but i'll come back later :)

I love his Namaste greetings and how he encountered all people with humble gestures, like a bow, a nod of his head, etc.

Michael's joy was one to behold! I could have posted this entire interview, but the title says 'small' moments lol

The Callback to "That's What You Get (For Being Polite)" during the 30th Anniv.'s "I'll Be There". The "Haah, Haah"

I love the bit near the end of the Blood On The Dance Floor short film, when he gets up and dances with the girl. It's a really cool dance and they have great chemistry. Mike was such an underrated dancer with a partner

I feel like we need threads like this now more than ever

So many but I love the way he says “girl” and when during the Oprah’s interview he repeated laughing “I think I’m very cute today” I love when he bit his lip and his shyness is so nice.

was watching Motown 25 this morning (for the billionth time, ha!), and the moment that still gets me to this day is the build up to his solo.

he was buying time so that the other mic-stands can be taken away, and someone could hand him his hat. of course, we don't see any of that - due to the camera being on Michael the whole time. after he was done talking, it seemed as though everything was magically set in place:

'I like those songs a lot but, especially...I like..'
(audience members scream) 'billie jean!'
'..the new songs..'

that transition in my opinion, marked the official end of 'Michael Jackson from the Jackson 5', and gave birth to Michael Jackson the solo superstar.

it's the small moments that pave the way for something bigger! :)

I remember when I saw him on the HIStory tour there was a moment when he leaned on the shoulder of the burley security guard at the side of the stage in a very Charlie Chaplin esque way. Made me laugh out loud.
