The ‘YAY I JUST HEARD MICHAEL ON THE RADIO’ Thread

Dancing Machine (Jackson 5)
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (Jackson 5)
Working Day And Night
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (Jackson 5)

this wasn’t radio, but ‘we are the world’ was just shown on the ‘top of the pops’ christmas episode from 1985💜

Not the radio, but I had a funny experience today at a Christmas market.

When we entered the bar, Somebody's Watching Me was on. About 10 minutes later, Let's Get Serious came on. 10 minutes after that we had Got to Be There. Presumably some sort of Motown playlist.

Christmas market.

Yeah, I guess it's mostly a European thing. You get them in most cities in the UK. Basically it's a temporary market with wooden stalls selling gifts like jewellery, clothes, artwork and things like cheese. Some people just go there for the food/drink. These days they're really overpriced - eg today I paid the equivalent of $17 for less than 1 pint of cider.

Last year I actually went on a vacation which visited 4 or 5 Christmas markets in Germany, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

They're normally held for around 2 months each year. Late November is probably best, because they won't be too busy.

Are you in Canada? I just checked and Montreal has one.

Yeah, a typical thing might be a German sausage followed by Belgian waffle or French pancake, accompanied by mulled wine.
