the high-hat issues heard in the leak are not present in my copy. the only issues i hear are the vocal cut in Behind the Mask, and CGOOTR being a low bitrate.

9/10 album, its amazing.

Yes, that would make lot of sense. Lyrics are not that well known yet, and they probably don't have much footage. I could probably buy that.
But WBSS was performed 200 times! We already have multiple video mix. I am sure they could have done something more creative with such a popular song :(:mad:

They could have released WBSS from a concert that we haven’t seen before. Or maybe unreleased recording studio footage. But they choose to release a damn lyric video. Like we don’t know the lyrics of WBSS by now.

This is exactly what I would want and expect. Maybe with some other images intercut with the live footage but, either way, it would be extremely easy to put together a simple but fabulous official video for WBSS.

Exactly. There will always be new people (hopefully) and they might not know the lyrics but they are just as likely to just check out one of the lyric sites and use that really quickly. They wouldn't necessarily bother with a lyric video, official or otherwise.

For a Michael Jackson video I would prefer to see Michael. I'm OK with MITM and Cry. Those I understand. But, generally, I want to see Michael himself.

This. There is tons of unreleased Michael Jackson footage. Surely, they can release some of that in a form of a music video for posthumous singles. But videos for Michael's posthumous singles always feature a bunch of tribute acts dancing and I don't really have any interest in that.

A lyric video has to be as simple as possible so as to not distract attention from the upcoming, big release.

After all, a lyric video by definition is just a teaser (i.e., a short and simple introductory advertisement for the upcoming, big release) that people should easily forget when the upcoming, big release comes out.

Keep in mind that record companies have evolved and they have become a multifaceted support network for their artists, so they can also manage the social media profiles of their artists.

This is because of the record companies' duty to guarantee a good Internet presence for their artists.

I’m talking about the new Dolby Atmos mix of Thriller which was released today on Apple Music. The tracks are mixed differently for sure. So far there is no Dolby Atmos version of Thriller 40, just of the original.
