Demo proposed to MJ but not accepted. Is Serious Moonlight a demo?
Thanks for the infoDemo proposed to MJ but not accepted.
I agree 100%. Unfortunately, most of what would be included would likely be previously leaked songs, especially since there are so many Dangerous outtakes available on YT without an official release.Well,
I'd slightly improve the track list, as follows (see italics).
- I don't think it will ever happen.
- I don't think it's necessary
- If it does, CD2 will probably just be a re-issue of Dangerous - The Remix Collection
1 Black Or White (C&C House With Guitar Radio Mix)
2 Remember The Time (New Jack Jazz Mix)
3 Remember The Time (Acapella)
4 In The Closet (The Promise)
5 In The Closet (The Vow)
6 Who Is It (The Most Patient Mix)
7 Who Is It (IHS Mix)
8 Jam (Silky 7")
9 Jam (Roger's Jeep Mix)
10 Give In To Me (Vocal Version)
Maybe add Will You Be There (Instrumental) and Gone Too Soon (Instrumental). Then it would be quite a respectable second disc (ie good value), which treats fans with respect, and is also easy/cheap to produce (because everything was previously released). Using original B-sides is also in line with what lots of other artists do for an anniversary.
Or maybe a piece of shattered glass, referring to the intro of Jam and/or the panther danceA basketball signed by Michael Jordan.
Or
A card with one of the aliases from MJs two timing girlfriend.
The Blood On The Dancefloor version from the Dangerous sessions would be really great!Nothing but the original album re release maybe adding earth song demo and botdf
This is the dream release for me, very easy for them to do and pretty simple, but it would be so awesomeWould be cool to just get a release with alternate versions and mixes of the album tracks. Along with some sketch demos that didn't get very far. Not that hard to make an interesting release, really. As alwaysthere mentioned in another thread, it doesn't really need to be an anniversary, either.
Or a vial of sand you can pretend is MJ from Remember The Time.Or maybe a piece of shattered glass, referring to the intro of Jam and/or the panther dance
seems like it is finished:Homeless Bound for me i think
What songs do you think could be on a potential Dangerous 35?
Made me laugh...Ease on down the road
1 | Bumper Snippet (Kid Part) | 0:17
2 | Monkey Business | 5:45 | |
3 | Work That Body | 3:29 | |
4 | If You Don't Love Me | 4:13
5 | Serious Effect | 4:18 | |
6 | Happy Birthday Lisa | 1:36
7 | She Got It | 4:28 | |
8 | Black Or White (Remix) | 3:33
9 | Dangerous (Alt. Ver) | 6:38
10 | Who Is It (Remix) | 7:56 |
Options in my dreams
I am not sure if all these exists, but assuming they would exist:
And of course, a MoFi release.
- Longer cut of I'll Be There Pepsi
- Any other adult Motown cover
- MJ's versions of Alright Now and Joy and possibly others.
- Clean (and not destroyed in re-mastering) recording of You Were There (for whatever reason, I often associate it to Dangerous rather than to Bad.)
That's what's so good about rereleasing DTRC. If it's previously released or leaked, it means we don't have to buy it. Win-win.I agree 100%. Unfortunately, most of what would be included would likely be previously leaked songs, especially since there are so many Dangerous outtakes available on YT without an official release.
Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous” Album “Reshaped Pop Music” – Albumism
November 26, 2024
Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous” album was released on this date in 1991. Albumism on the 30th of anniversary of the album remarked that it is “arguably Jackson’s most creative project. The blend of New Jack Swing, classical music, hip-hop, funk, rock, gospel, R&B, and industrial music, coupled with Jackson’s examination of various social themes coupled with an unapologetic blackness, reshaped pop music, giving it new life and breadth.” Listen again now: https://michaeljackson.lnk.to/dangerous
