today i was walking down the street, and a bunch of guys was listening the Wanna Be Startin Something from the Thriller 25th, the remix with Akon, and i heard them saying: " Akon is the singer and inventor of this song and that Michael Jackson was Pedophile and have imitated Akon on this song" OMG i got so pissed that i walked right to them and explain them everything and then they just shut up their mouth, i dont believe people can be so ignorant and bad!!!!
this makes me sad :(

Akon is the inventor of the song? Lol yeah this song has been out for almost 30 years. Akon probably wasn't even born then or if he was, he was a little kid. Those guys are idiots.

You can thank the media.

Wow, I thought the content of the initial post would be way different than what I read (I thought it was going to be about actual remixes) lol. . . . No use getting mad or upset at people who are dead from the neck up, lol; if I did I'd be angry or sad all the time. People like the ones you described must get laughed at often for their foolishness!

As for remixes themselves, I'm not too fond of them. In most all cases the original song was already perfect.

they knew the truth, that's why there were painstakingly detailed in their slander. and they knew they were lying, and they know they hate and are envious of MJ. if they really thought Akon was the originator, they wouldn't even know of Michael Jackson.

i also thought the thread was about remixes in general. and i was going to agree with you, but this remix has MJ's stamp and works.

the traditional remix is a bad idea to me, and further proves the brilliance of MJ's songwriting skills. BOTDF was a lot of peoples' attempt to get fame, and all it showed was how music wasn't their friend. and..even in the remixes, just MJ's voice being in them, saved them. it just proved that the magic, was, is and always will be solely with MJ.

WHAT? o_O Akon the inventor of the song? lol Okay..... So they never heard of the Thriller CD then?....must be the only people on earth I guess?! lol

Thanks for shouting them up! God Bless :)

brunomj, how can you possibly care about that? do you not realize that the people who actually say that kind of stuff are a bunch of imbeciles? why bother, lose nerves and time? what can be said after that comment? those are some sad, stupid, ignorant people. so just let them enjoy their idiocy. i am sure you have some more important stuff to do and enjoy, unlike them...

What? Fans actually SHOULD CARE!

How else are those ignorant people ever gonna be educated then?

At least, now they know how stupid they are....

thanx for putting those guys right. Just gobsmacked with what they said. Theu don't know sh*t if they think MJ was standing in on a song that was his over 29 years.

You can't teach a fool a fool. Thinking that you can will only make you the fool.

If they wanted to get educated, they can look thing us using the internet like anyone else. Wikipedia is one stop shopping for lazy people seeking information.

Ignorance aggrivates me. It's cool you responded to them, but I agree with Ramona that you can't teach fools.

I am not a fool for trying...

A fool is a fool when they give up too easily...

A fool is a fool when they dont believe the truth.

I just don't care about them. What Michael has achieved and what I feel for him and how much he has affected me and taught me can never compare to their ignorance and stupidity.

Did Michael go around suing tabloids and stuff? NO. He just let them be idiots and kept living his own life. Walking around in pyjamas etc. May be a totally different example, but he just DIDN'T CARE.

And yes, you can't prove a fool wrong.

There is a sort of a saying, that goes something like this...

Don't argue with a fool. He will bring you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Wow, I thought this thread was going complain about people singing "Ama se amasa ama coosa" instead of doing it Michael's way.

But seriously, good on you for actually going up to them like that. :)
See, if they can get wrong something so obvious/easy to research, then it's not surprising how society has come to believe all that other crap about Michael.

Well of course. The society is a mess. The world is a mess. No one cares anymore to think with their own brains. I am scared for the future of the society, I really am. It has become so twisted and brainwashed!

As for Akon's Ama se Amasa Amacosa...The most irritating thing ever!

I usually just state the facts, it is up to them whether they believe it or not...

I dont participate in long arguments....

I'm not a huge fan of remixes in general. Sometimes they work; most of the MJ ones I've come across are at least decent and different enough from the original recording. Actually I think I prefer the remix of "HIStory" on BOTDF to the original. But for the most part, I can take them or leave them.

However, speaking as a completist, I just hate that there's so damn many of them out there, and that some (like the "This Time Around" and "Smile" promo discs) are impossible to track down on CD. They need to prepare a definitive box set collection with all the remixes and B-sides and rarities.

that's weird that conversation would even happen. when I'm listening to a song by an artist I don't go "yeah this person singing invented this song" and then simultaneously bring up a seperate musician to refer to as a pedophile.

If they connected the song to MJ at all, then they wouldn't have doubted who made it. It's old.
