i am fairly sure it does, as jesse johnson was pissed off about hot fun not being included! Vinyl will be higher res though so would love if it's goes on hdtracks.com!

Unfortunately not. The LP edition contains only one song which is cut in two parts. The first part you have to listen to on side A, the second part you will have to listen to on side C of the LP. And, one more thing, there is no side B.

More seriously why are you looking forward to LP? The sound is of lesser quality, unless you prefer hearing the crackling.

The dynamic range of the vinyl is better than the CD.

technicaly LP is not worse or better than CD. It just sounds different, cause of analogue playback.

Will the vinyl actually be 24-bit or will it just be the 16-bit CD sound pressed onto plastic? This is something I am always dubious of when buying "new" LPs. 'Cause if it's the latter then, as Bumper said, it will just be CD quality audio with added crackling...

The analogue technology will never be better than digital. It's a myth to believe that.

Because CD is digital, which means a perfect copy of the master, no loss whatsoever, a perfect clone contrary to analogue.

No. Digital is much more reliable as far as the copy of the sound is concerned. A simple fact try to copy the analogue sound over and over again from one copy to another, there is always a loss. However if you copy the digital sound, there is never any kind of loss unless you voluntarily compress it.

completely agreed, it needs a lot of bass and with a high wattage also! nothing can beat high quality speakers when listening to true music (Michael Jackson: Got To Be There - Xscape)

This is true only for the albums that were recorded digitally.

Not at all. The point is that the digital support will always copy the master as it is, contrary to the analogue which will always suffer from losses, noises and cracklings.

NEVER!!! (unless your "master" is already digital)

You can't digitalize any analogue source with the result "analogue = digital". It is impossible. You can only approximate an analogue signal --> the higher the sampling rate as well as the bit depth the better the result

It also depends on the bit depth, though. CD holds 16-bit audio. If the sound was recorded at 16-bit then that's fine, but if it wasn't then the result is that you lose some audio information on the CD.

For someone like MJ the R&B or Pop ranking is more or less useless. I think the all-album charts give a far better idea of how the CD is really doing on the charts.

I thought the video was already done and was to be released any day now...lol

I hope the song can hold up until then...Maybe they were waiting to get a feel of the initial public reception before spending money on a video.

With only a week to go, shocking the CD hasn't leaked yet. LA reid probably has the masters hidden in his office under 24-hour surveillance.

Well this is not my point. My point is that with analogue technology there is always a loss, always. With the digital, you will actually clone the source. Now of course if you have an analogue source and you want to digitalize it it's a different story. But in any case, no matter what you do, the analogue suffers losses.

By the way, you can convert analogue to digital, and of course, it goes without saying that it will dpeend on the quality of the analogue. Converting analogue to digital does not mean obtaining analogue = digital. Again, my point is, if you copy analogue from analogue, you'll suffer lossess anyway, which you do'nt have with the digital copies.

I know, I clearly said that the digital is better as long as not voluntarily compressed.

Makes me laugh when people say, "I thought Michael was dead?!" on these videos, but it makes me really sad because I wish he was here so he could see his loving fans and the success of the song.
