Who cares if there's "tape hiss" on LNFSG....if you listen to the beginning of Butterflies, it sounds like record scratching (which I LOVE).

Who cares. It's retro, retro is cool...MJ's best sounds minus the Dangerous era (best album ever IMO), was his work in the 80s. :p

lol im the same. ill be listening to all of them, and if/when the album leaks ill listen. ive already pre ordered the album so I won't be feeling guilty.

Criticizing an overly limited, crunched together, distorted mastering job is not nitpicking. It's pointing out a fault in the mastering that shouldn't have happened. A fault that suggests that music with Michael's name on it is perhaps not receiving the proper care it deserves. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up the loudness wars in the music industry. Nitpicking would be "That hi-hat is half a decibel too loud. Completely ruins the whole song!"

Now if people can't hear the distortion or don't care, fine. I personally don't care so much as long as the originals are not poorly mastered.

It is not about Michael. It is a song written by Cory Rooney and he deserves credit for a well written song. You can learn more about it here:

A good storyteller can evoke the proper emotion and make one believe it is a song about their own experience. This happened to Usher with his song Confessions. Although Usher said numerous times the song was not autobiographical, many did not believe Usher until Jermaine Dupri finally confessed the song was about himself.

Today's music leaves much to be desired so when real talent comes along, it is often not recognized. I do appreciate a song about a man struggling with his role in the triangle which is not a popular sentiment in most songs or for some listeners. I also appreciate the passionate delivery of the storyteller who makes one believe it could be autobiographical. It does take talent.

I hope you are correct however, this is the same man that allowed LNFSG to appear three times on one cd.

I've listened at least 3 times a day LNFSG since it was uploaded on YT and I hear no hissing, maybe my headphones help?

I don't know about others, but I'm not talking about hiss. I have zero problems with that. I'm talking about digital distortion from over limiting during the mastering stage.
