Are any of the Jacksons there? Where is that supposed person who said that they were going to check things out at JD's club?
mikecheck from the xone texted remixer ( another xone member from atl) that they were all there. he didn't posts nothing else, because I think he left to go down there lol. anyway we'll find out tomorrow I guess.
somebody on Janet's forum just posted that all of the Jacksons are there , so Jermaine wasn't lying after all. so I assuming that means Michael is there also.
Here, let me give you the lowdown based on what I saw:
1. Club 72 is located (in my honest opinion of the joint) a RUNDOWN stripmall which is adjacent to a Dollar General store and an Aarons furniture. Let's just say this: It couldn't have had any less curb appeal (leave it to the ATL to give new meaning to the word "lame"). Again, this is all my honest opinion.
2. I didn't see any Jacksons there (although JD and Janet were "in the house"), however, I left shortly after Midnight, so unless they showed up after I left or got there before I arrived, I didn't see any of 'em. Oh and I wasn't the only one who "left". There were a lot of people walking AWAY from this place.
3. When the clock struck midnight, it could NOT have been any more low key than what I saw. I've seen more excitement at a funeral home.
4. Did they say this was a Jackson 5 party? Really? Cause I hardly remember hearing any Jackson 5 music? In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the only Jackson music I heard was an excerpt of Billie Jean at around the Midnight hour. Can I just say that the music that was being played was the WHACKEST music eva! Oh and that dress code? What dress code? People were showing up in jeans pulled down below their waste, white T's and sneakers.
5. This was by far the LAMEST NYE party eva - IN MY HONEST OPINION.
:crazy
I must have missed it by visiting another club in a parallel universe or something.

We've been punk'd again just like the 40/40 club.
First Mike was gonna be a guest there, then Janet, then...Joseph showed up.
Then with the ATL thing, Jermaine said "we're gonna have a Jackson 5 party", the press took that as if the Jackson brothers (plus Mike) were gonna reunite, then someone said, the other five brothers (without Mike) would show up, then someone posted that ALL of them (including Mike) showed up, then we hear that NONE of them (including Mike) didn't show up at all.
Not unless they showed up after I got the HELL OUTTA there!
Honestly, I wish I had a picture of the location. You have got to see where this place is located to understand.
I am sorry you all ,but the thread on the xone was deleted so I am guessing it wasn't true afterall .

The shock. You mean Mike really didn't show up afterall? But why, did the Dollar General that was right next to the joint scare him away? Or was it overflowing trash cans located next to the fine establishments in this strip mall that caused him to change his mind?
Man, that location was too much for anybody to handle. I had to make like a baby and head out!

V, what location of the city is this club? Is it Decatur? cause we got a lot of locations like you described in the metro-ATL. you know it could have been in college park, east point, decatur, etc.
lmao

I think it's around the College Park area.
OK . . . I know you mad you wasted your gas!!!!:lol:naw, it was up on Lawrenceville hwy in Tucker. It might as well have been on the worst part of Buford Hwy.
That location was tore up.
I went up there looking for eye candy, i ended up getting an eye sore.

...oh and the music. What kinda playlist was that? Why call it a Jackson 5 party when you ain't gonna play them all NIGHT LONG like Lionel Richie?
Here, let me give you the lowdown based on what I saw:
1. Club 72 is located (in my honest opinion of the joint) a RUNDOWN stripmall which is adjacent to a Dollar General store and an Aarons furniture...
4. Did they say this was a Jackson 5 party? Really? Cause I hardly remember hearing any Jackson 5 music? In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the only Jackson music I heard was an excerpt of Billie Jean at around the Midnight hour...
WHAT!?!
Talk about a BUST of a party! It's a Jackson 5 party yet they play music from a former member of THE COMMODORES!
^^ Yep.
The inside of the club is nice. There was a good crowd and at midnight the dance floor was packed, but the club nor the parking lot were.
Jackie, Tito, Jermaine & Marlon were there...and they did play a couple of other snippets and most of another ONE of MJ's songs...funny thing is, after all the other noise, I can't remember what song it was...don't recall hearing ANY J5 at all...and I never stepped onto the dance floor. JD started spinnin' at 11:40 and the music got worse.
I watched the same video of J5 & Janet from some back in the day TV show performances and interviews at least 3 times from 10pm til I left at 12:20.
I actually got kinda bored, could not take anymore of the music (N-word this & that) or JD saying MF repeatedly.
Y'all didn't miss a thang...I didn't even take any pictures.
If I had paid $100+ dollars, I would have been very disappointed.
No, they didn't play Lionel Richie, but I would have settled for that vs. Soulja Boy.
Like i said, I didn't hear any Jackson 5 other than a few bars of Billie Jean. Why pull me all the way up there and tell me it's a Jackson 5 party? Why? Why play all the crap I hear on the radio which turn off instead of the Jackson 5?
