Hey guys, I know Invincible is MJ's least selling album, but no doubt it's wonderful. I think it's great. :D

Well my question is, how many figures has it sold? I've seen a lot the number of 8 million, yesterday I read 10 million, and last night on Celebrity Expose they said its sold only 2 million ?

Which is the right number? It has to be near 10 million..right?

Invincible sold about 2 million in the USA. It sold about 6-7 million in total.

I think.

Ok so 2 million in the US..so then Worldwide it would be around 8-10 million?

But from what I understand Blood on the Dancefloor is the highest selling remix cd of all time...or am i wrong?
and yeah Invincible sold about 2 million in the US and around 10 million worldwide.

thru January 26, 2008 Invincible sold
2,100,540 in the USA.

Taking in account music clubs sales too, its sales are for sure around 2,3 mill. in US.

Certied 2xPlat(2,000,000) in Europe

Worldwide 7/8 mill.

I hate it when the media report 'total' worldwide sales using only US sales figures. I can kind of understand it when US-based media does it (after all they have the 'world series' consisting of only US teams!!!! How stupid is that! ) , but quite often I'll see a UK paper or show that will quote the US figure and say it is worldwide.

I thought it was more than 8-10 Million, then I've also heard upwards of 10-15 Million Worldwide, would like to know the exact figure aswell.

By this time it probably has sold around 12 to 15 million. We haven't gotten any figures since after it had recently come out. By now its probably sold close to that number.

I've heard it would be around 13 million copies because the trial rised some sales world-wide. I remember it was already around 11 million in 2003.

thats crazy, 2 in the US and abot 10 worldwide. thats like 5 times bigger. usually worlwide sales are twice as great as the US sales

Actually the percent of US sales has got and still gets smaller and smaller with him all the time. He is so extremely popular in many other countries, I mean much more than in US. USA is such a big country, he needs a lot of promotion if he wanted to rise his sales there, plus I also think he needs a new album and great, new single releases to sell there much better.

The also call their the most popular game in U.S, football, where 90% of the game they actually use their hands. You figure that out.

mj sales are actually around 5 to 1 interms of usa and world wide sales. one of the posters on here and other boards joe yenish wrote an article once in the old mjni magazine king about sales.

according to sony vince had sold over 11 mill by the summer of 2002

There have been reports of worldwide sales for Vince from 8 million to 12 million. The last official figure I heard from Sony was 11.2 million but that was back in 2002 or 2003. So I'd say anything from 11.5 million to 12 million is where Invincible stands today.

it has not sold more than 8 mio copies worldwide!

fans always like to exaggerate, every figure higher than 8 mio is ridiculous

as of January 26th, 2008 it has sold 2,100,540 copies in the USA.
(plus some sales that were not registered (e.g. music clubs), but those are small numbers (not more than 100,000 to 200,000)

it has been certified double platinum in the USA (2 mio copies) since 2002.

So, you see that fan-fiction cannot change the truth.

It has only sold 100,000 copies in the USA in the last 6 years, after the break through 2 mio.
(or 200,000 to 300,000 if you count the not registered sales, too)

Number Ones has sold more than 1,300,000 copies since November 2003 in the USA

So, you see these figures are realistic!

INVINCIBLE has sold 7-8 mio. copies worldwide

any higher sales figure are fan-fiction and ridiculous!!!
outside the fan community and from independent music associations, you'll never hear such high made up sales figures

SonyBMG has never reported any sales figures over 5,4 mio for Invincible!

"I've heard/I've read that Sony said it has sold... 11 mio/13 mio/15 mio"

Sorry, but this simply ain't true at all!

Don't rely on people who post on message boards and stuff like that.

Stupid Americans. (this was a joke)

Truth is that they use their feet more because they run all over like nuts.. So I think that's why it's "football". But we have a "handball" also and there they run also, but it's "handball". So there's not a logic in naming of those. Just wait and see, soon there will be basketfootball. It must be just a running competition where you run with a football in your basket.

There's no way Invincible has sold 12-15 million worldwide. Where in the world are some of u getting these figures from? I'd say it's sold 8-10 million max! Stop trying to inflate sales .

Why no one said yet that there are two totally different sales figures measurements such as retail and wholesale?

"Invincible" wholesold in quantity about 11.5 million copies worldwide and it has retail sales about 8-9 million copies.

For any high profile album there is always few million difference between retail and wholesale figures. The bigger album, the bigger the difference; for "Thriller" has about 5 million copiers usually.
