looks like the new album is on its way

its been there for years so i wouldnt take it as much of an indicator

I don't know why but I think we may get something in May. I don't know why, just a feeling.
 
we'll get it around his birthday in august :p
 
i cant see anything till at least august. theres producers just talking now about going into the studio with mj. you start hearing real news at least 6 months b4 the release so id be happy if we get anything this year as theres no real info at all
 
You people need to stop with the speculating and learn to wait. We have had enough drama and temper tantrums for the year.
 
so whos not learning to wait? its a discussion board ppl talk and speculate. do u want all talk banned until and offical date is announced? gonna be boring round here if thats the case lol
 
No, producers aren't JUST starting to talk, they've been talking since 2006...just not very much cuz Mj told them NOT to talk lol
 
There no saying when and if MJ may release a new album. Every year that goes by we say "this year is MJ year" lol...well is this year his year?

exactly. thats why i think there is nothing coming until september-december.
no release date yet. nothing. nothing like the last 2 years. allways the same rumors ..."working on something"... or ..."working with someone"...
its allways the same with mj-albums. first one release-date, postponed one or two or more times... release. thats why i said, nothing before september.
 
I am about 90% sure that the album won't make it out in 2008. The Thrillercast is set to come out once a week for 40 episodes which will finish out the rest of the year. So unless the podcast shifts from reminiscing about the glory days of Thriller to the process of him currently recording and producing in the record studio today, don't expect to see anything new until 2009. He will be using this podcast to keep himself on the radar while he lays low and finishes the new album…
 
I see it being finished and released in time for Christmas. November of this year or early December is my guess.

I never ever believed that 2007 would produce a new MJ album...it just didnt ever feel like it would happen to me. I think 2008 will see a new MJ album, but not til the second half of the year. At this stage, I'm guessing that Michael isnt even shortlisting specific tracks for the album yet and is still taking his time working with artists/producers and seeing what works best so May still sounds too early to me.
 
I'm not going to make any predictions of my own until I see an official press release from Sony BMG ( or any other label) confirming all we need to know about a new album.
 
Since 2006, i always thought it would be around Aug-08 coz this B'day is gonna be huge..
Lets face it Mike has always used significant ocassions as a launcing pad for new releases... for example 30th aniversary (coming to think of it, 30th aniversay is not even a special number- i mean 25th, 50th ect are considered special).. He literally give inportance to the 30th aniversary...so i cannot believe he will let go of his 50th B'day (which btw can have a hage marketing impact) without atleast a single/video..

But as days past I doubt we will have anything till the year end..

But i forgot, what exactly was we exactly celebrating then? The 30th anniversary of WHAT? LOL

He was celebrating 30 years as a solo artist wasn't he? with the 30th Anniversary Celebration concerts.
 
Ahh i c...i couldn't remember. We just seem to be throwing around anniversary dates like they ain't nothin lol
 
we need to work on actually seeing him first, then we can think about an album, lol

You mean he would celebrate his 50th birthday with his new album! He would never ever celebrate his own age by releasing an album. That would be kinda stupid. Mentally he even isn't 50, far away from that. So by releasing it around his birthday would just emphasize his age.
 
let's just hope it's classic michael and not some "let's make it for today's R&B crowd" like kanye crap where all he does is say "yeah." on the record
