Michael Jackson neverland is closing?

Maybe the fans are more worried than he is, maybe getting rid of Neverland is the dawn of a new era free of scandal and drama that is tied into Neverland and the whole era of 1993-2005, perhaps he wants to rebuild a new image and if getting rid of Nevy is the route to doing that then so be it, i know some feel like that Sneddon and them win with him gone but you know what, how could he ever see that as a home after they raped and destroyed that once beautiful property? he can't so let the man be!

Classic -I love to see you on here more often. I agree that Mike is a survivor.

The way I look at this situation is, if MJ cannot make due with the payment and the estate will be auctioned, then it is what it is. I understand when fans are saying, "well NL is where his heart is at", but honestly, do we really know for sure? I mean, the trial opened a lot of things for Mike and for all of us. It showed MJ that there are things so wrong with that place. Also, it is an estate, it is a thing. It is not a human being. MJ possibly losing his home is not the end of the world. He can always get another one. I am a bit bothered by some of the comments that fans on here are making regarding an estate and MJ's state of being. I understand that NL will always have a special place in his life but in order to live peacefully without people constantly harassing him, he might just let the estate go. It is a beautiful place but I think it is a bad habit to be attach to something that is a material thing.
I agree with you Bee. There is somethinfg else that I noticed since I became a fan, but I have been holding my tongue about. Up to recently I would say no MJ shouldn't let it go, but I was saying that for selfish reasons. Now I can see advantages in letting it go and for MJ to have his privacy back Neverland was like a prison for him, but it was never private. It was filled with informants. Sneddon even planted people in there to seek employment. Neverland was a mess in more ways than one. If MJ decides to let it go, so be it. May MJ have peace of mind for himself and his children.:)

IF this is the end of Neverland it is surely not because Michael cannot pay the debts or refinance. He could easily raise the tens of millions of dollars by doing a short concert run. The idea that he couldn't pay for it is absurd.

I can't see how it would make financial sense to lose Neverland this way. The loans are surely nowhere near the actual value of the property. If he really wanted to get rid of it after everything that's happened then why couldn't he just sell it?

Worst of all though this would be pretty bad publicity. No, not as bad as child molestation charges. But it will simply compound the tabloid image that Michael is a broke has-been. It will never be true but do you really want years of "homeless Michael Jackson" jibes?

Fingers crossed he pulls something together at the last minute.

so are we going make this are main focus for days (many threads onn the same subject, etc.) .. or are we still goint to continue to focus on the man..trying to get his career back in gear and going to buy T25 if we haven't yet ... and request the remixes on our local radio...

and be honest.. John Q Public has been hearing about 'Neverland Closing'.. for months.. years...that this new piece of info might just go right
over their heads... there is also an important Democratic race going on...

IMO. we should pray for Michael.. wish him the best.. and keep being excited about what's in store for him as an artist... and not just run to the doomy/gloomy room ... with this.. Neverland story...

I agree. This is an exciting time with his music right now. I'm loving the focus on T25. That is what matters right now and where the support for Michael can be made known.

I think its a good thing if it happens...I mean the whole allegation thing will be attached to that place..so it might be good to let it go.

I do not think it is a bad thing for Joe public to think that Mj is broke. I believe the broke story will help to remove the target from his back, afterall if he is that broke then he wont be likely to be a meal ticket for so many people.

No the bad publicity began when he was first accused in 1993, the image of Neverland never recovered after that so if he allows it to be foreclosed i think it's more of him wanting to be rid of all of that negative baggage than anything else.

yeah but sell it, not let it get foreclosed on. That's embarrassing

True. neverland was a beautiful place but it attracted jealousy and envy and Tom Sneddon. It attracted the worse kind of people and was the reason why Mj was accused. The place was crawling with spies too.

can we change the title homes are not closed they are either sold or forclosed on the word closed implies it wax a fan aattarction or something

think about it. his home is where is his children's home. so if his children are more familiar with some other place that's their new home. of course hid kids have lots of memories at Neverland but if they don't necessarily want to go back, why would Michael care about the place that much.

all the links for sources and so called verified documents are from foxnews? i thought RF was banned? but his bs is still up for discussion? i got an idea... since Michael's private life is supposedly not to be discussed (his children's fotos, his health, and other ambigous language "intrusive" discussion is off limits... why is one of his most private matters HIS money up for discussion? shouldn't it be off limits as well? respect to his privacy, isn't that one of the cornerstones of the forum? or not so when it comes to his finances? that's ok?

I think it is very tragic that every detail of Mj's finances get scrutinised by the press and has become a common interest for fans too. It must make it very hard for him to secure confidential arrangements with the bank because now financiers can talk to the press. Not fair at all.:mello:

ya'll are tripping for NOTHING. MJ is gonna handle his business the way he choses. It's not something that relates to us, but exclusively to MJ. so MJ's decision is his...why are we up over arms about this? What will be will be.

We shouldn't be up in what his finances are or his assets or what he plans on doing with them. That's none of our concern.

Michael left Neverland a very long time ago. Can you imagine what it was like for him during the trial? It must've been awful because it was like a prison to him! Didn't Michael say after what Sneddon & the floons did to Neverland that it was no longer a home to him? What about all the betrayals of Neverland staff?

Fans should not hold onto this. Michael obviously moved on and we should, too!

You are saying exactly what most people are saying in this thread, so why say people are tripping. Nobody is tripping, people are just expressing how they are feeling on an open forum.

Why do you keep saying this to me after every post I make? I KNOW this is an open forum and I'm OPEN to say that this isn't something we should be concerned about. And people ARE tripping in THIS thread and ANOTHER thread where this exact same thing is being discussed.

People feel they are inside MJ's head and know exactly what he wants and do not want for this property and I say we have no business pretending that we do know what he wants.

Pretty much.

Still? No he does not have real estate on this forum. I don't understand your question?

my question is to why is it that we're able to discuss a topic that was put out by him. no we cant say his name, but yet we discuss his stories? so, he does have real estate here. he's taken up residence via people passing on his stories in a round about manner on the forum. that is what i mean. and since he's banned, my question is how come this is ok? if he isnt? is there a difference?

I understand now.

I think this story would have been dismissed but because there are court documents provided and a legitimate link provided (with the case number) with the auction details and date of the auction, the admins decided to allow it to go forward. I dislike RF just as much as anyone here but unfortunately his story is legitimate. Even TSCM provided information in the news thread about the auction.

With all estate sales and auctions, this becomes a matter of public record. It sucks but it is what it is. :(

That is so true, but in one way I think we are getting adjusted to the fact that neverland might be no more, It is like a burial in a sense, We feel bereft of the place so we mourn and then we adjust. That is all. I think we understand that Mj will do what is best for him and the children and it might mean living outside of neverland. So we wish him all the best.

Why is this being discussed? It's a Roger Friedman Article. Roger Friedman is banned from MJJC. Roger Friedman regularly enjoys invading Michael's privacy by discussing it we are endorcing it. Does it really matter if it's real or not?Michael will deal with his assets the way he so chooses too it isn't our business. Neverland is a place, a thing, a material building - the magic already left.

THANK YOU. It's none of our business WHAT MJ decides to do with it anyways. So where are you moderators? LOL For real.
