3/17/08: Breaking News~ 'Preferential treatment' case against Michael Jackson may not go forward

i think ppl got confused with the lawsuit because the last story did focus interms of headlines that the case had been thrown out.but the small print said they had so long to refile it. so they did just that.i dont think that was reported on much so ppl assumed the case was basically over. hopefuly they cant get a lwayer so it will be dropped but i doubt it considering all the ambulance chasers that are out there

Of course Thriller 25 is still getting promotion.....just take a look at VH1 Soul and you'll see the ad for Thriller 25 being aired repeatedly throughout the evening/night especially!

This speaks to the strength and power of Michael Jackson's artistic efforts!

And I just remembered when I was in Barnes and Nobel yesterday looking through Vibe magazine, I saw a huge add for Thriller 25 in there.

Yeah! I saw that! I smiled when I saw that. :)

Anyway, so Thriller 25 is still doing amazing in the charts. Now, I see why Tmz TV did that nasty segment about MJ today on their show. Interesting...... Maybe they were mad that their will be NO public auctioning of Mike's house.

If you are curious, those clowns talked about the fact that if MJ did not refinance the NL estate, it would have went on public auction tommorrow. They did a segment on Mickey and asked "if MJ is not living there, then why keep the place?" Just disgusting and pathetic, like Harvey Levin. LOL. Anyway, I was bothered by it. They even had footage of Jermaine and they were asking him. He said it was a MYTH regarding what was happening to NL.

BTW, for the past two days, I have been hearing the SoBe Thrillicoious ad on the radio. :) Greatness!!

So, this is the news thread for today? Just asking.
 
TMZ got it wrong as usual. Wasn't the auction called off for two months last week? Why don't these people pay attention? Or do they just have selective eyes and ears? Hear and see only what they want and tune out the rest?

TMZ is the dumbest show I've seen on tv in a while. I mean you can tell that the show is struggling to get information on celebs by looking at the stupid things they report on.

The only reason this show is gonna last is because of its connection to FOX. Otherwise, it would fold.
 
I'm really glad to hear that the suit against Michael is possibly being dismissed. Michael had absolutely nothing to do with that woman's death, and he shouldn't be sued for something he didn't have anything to do with.
 
Oh well, tonight is was the Beatles. Next week, it is going to be Mariah Carey as a guest and the American Idol contestants will be singing her music as well.

I wonder if Michael's music will ever be on American Idol? I mean they are singing the Beatles music this week and the Beatles nor Paul McCartney are present. So Michael doesn't have to be present.

I mean this would have been the perfect season for Michael's music from Thriller since the album is being celebrated this year. I can't remember if American Idol runs one or two seasons per year. Does anyone remember? I mean will we see another Americal Idol season this fall? If so, then I hope Michael's music is showcased.
 
Oh well, I just did some research and AI only runs from Jan to May each year. So I guess maybe Thriller can show up next year in 2009.

that Dance Crew thing on MTV .. was run by Randy Jackson.. one of the judge on AI and and anything they do is under Simon Fuller... the real guy behind AI... so in a roundabout way.. AI did do T25

Their main goal is to sell crap and tabloid junk; anything that they think will sell they broadcast. Anyone with any sense of dignity and inteligence surely should not take what they say seriously....they avoid reality and promote lies. Sadly, this is what sells. They're just a tabloid in TV show form. :rolleyes:

FOX can talk all the MJ noise they want, but when Michael was going through the trial, they could have said no to Geraldo when he had that soft interview on their show with Michael. But they did not. They knew the ratings would be off the chain and they just couldn't resist.

True, of course immediately afterwards Fox told Geraldo that he wasn't being "objective enough" about the case so he was forced to quit talking about it, which is why we then heard nothing from him until the very end as deliberations were underway :rolleyes:. Of course, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and 95% of the rest of the network and regular guests must not have gotten that same memo since they were allowed to freely slander Michael's character at all hours of the day, without being objective at all.

An MJ-theme night on AI seems like a given, it really should happen. But, I get the impression that they don't want to do one unless Michael himself will directly be part of it (as a mentor) to really send the ratings soaring. In fact, they should do a Thriller theme this year (i.e., top 7 singing each of the 7 Thriller singles) and then a full MJ-theme next year where the singers can pick from any of his vast array of songs (J5 through present).

I think FOX assumed that Geraldo was gonna drill Michael about child molestation, not enamore himself with Michael and go soft the way he did. Geraldo took them off guard. So they punished him. But they should have known where Geraldo stood because Geraldo had already stated that he believed that Michael was innocent of the charges.

I think you are right on this matter. I also found this interesting article from forbes about paul millions. They also mention the MJ/Sony owns the beatle songs.

the media messed themselves up. they tend to double an amount when explaining how much someone has in pounds w/ relation to dollars.

if nasty is worth $400M US then the us media will think it's 800 pounds but what they did was double the 800 giving them a total of 1.6 and they're insane.

he may be cheap but he ain't that cheap an dhis solo albums don't sell for shiiit so......
 
omg please don't defend lame ass geraldo. he said his little 'im no longer objective' speech ONLY b/c fox told him to knock off the pro-mj rants or he'd lose his show. note that he wasn't too nice about mike once the trial was over and mj called linda deutch instead of him to thank for her coverage on the trial.

said mj wasn't a good father and hoped he lost the kids to deb or something like that. sounds like sour grapes....bashir w/o the accent imo

he has NEVER stated MJ was not a good father or that he should
loose his children - Is there a reason you say this ????

O.k....correct me if I'm wrong, yet after Geraldo interviewed Michael one time, didn't he make the comment after to some of his associates on his program that 'Michael should sell NL and get married, start a new and NORMAL life?' Mind you, those aren't the complete words yet the tone is still present.

I'm not saying that Geraldo didn't support MJ....yet after all was said and done, he did try to couch the man how to live.

After telling the world that Michael was normal.."Oh yeah, he's like any other father, taking care of his kids, making sure they eat their Cheerios..." etc. If he was so normal whilst you interviewed him, why tell viewers he has to start to live a normal life?

Besides, what exactly does normal consist of these days....what YOU Geraldo dictact it to be?

I don't hate Geraldo, I just wish he's stick with what he says. :rolleyes:
