WIKIPEDIA - best selling artists. Sudden BIAS

I can help, I don't have much influence but I can watch it and if it gets changed I'll revert it.
 
I have an account on Wiki, not sure if there's much that can be done but I'll have a look.
 
I saw it. It's so unfair. Harout, the one who edited the page, is a big MJ hater. I've tried to change his mind, in the talk page, but he is so biased. Gosh! ABBA suddenly sold 370 millions of albums? Elvis and The Beatles sold 1 billion? Ridiculous.
 
This is why I never take wikipedia seriously...

any idiot can access it and edit it.

And that person is kinda bias, MJ has a Guinness record for selling the most albums, he should be on top to me. :)

The Bias person is an admin, so it may be hard to edit the article without him reverting. I wish he would put aside his hate for MJ to acknowledge the facts.

It's horrible for someone to downgrade Michael's achievements to make themselves feel a little less jealous. It's not that I think he should get away with it, but surely seeing Michael's fans get wound up over it is going to feel like a small victory for him.
Haters are sad, sad, people. Sure, it's fine not to like an artist, but to spend your life trying to ruin their's is a scummy thing to do.
As sad as it is, Michael's not here with us anymore. It's up to us to show people that he was a good person who influenced his fans to be like him and spread his message. That's why we can't let it get to us, it will eventually be changed, so there's no point getting upset over it :)
 
Is there a way of contacting Wiki to get them to change it and block the idiot? I've looked all over but there's nothing for it.

EDIT* - I've found a support page but they say you need to settle the situation in the talk page! Wiki's crap, there's no way of contacting them at all unless you're an MJ representative.

^^maybe coz certain fans of certain artist can't stand the fact that their favourite star could never be as good as MJ. Or maybe they are just some bunch of racist who can't stand the fact that a black man is the biggest selling artist of all time, so they have to up the sales figure of those whites.
Or maybe they just simply can't stand the fact that MJ's the most successful entertainer and the biggest selling artist of all time and they are so jealous of him and they have to bring him down just to feel better about themselves who would never be able to accomplish a fraction of what MJ's accomplished in his life. but i feel the first and second ones are more likely the case.

I've looked on the man page about Michael and it says "estimated sales between 350 million and 750 million records worldwide" unless that's edited, that's incredibly inaccurate. That's a 400million difference!
 
OH NO! Is there someone 'high up' at wiki that we can contact? This is pissing me off. Everyone looks at wikipedia for info..
 
The important thing is we know its BS and that he sold 750 000 000 and still growing. lets face it MJ had lots of unreleased music and when that hits the shelfs it could get as many sales as thriller so in years to come he will be raising the bar as usual, people are going to be jelouse of his achievements
 
Im sorry but, how could Michael have sold 750 million albums? He only released like 6 major albums, that would mean he sold 100 mill each roughly.....

Well Thriller has sold over 110million. Dangerous and Bad sold over 30, the others... I'm not too sure about.

thats 222, and im guessing and being kinda generous.

Theres no way he sold 700 million unless he has 500 million sales from greatest hits cds....

TBH i dont think ANY artist has sold 700 million... thats just a ridiculous number....

You're forgetting Got to be there, Music and Me, Forever Michael, One day in your life, Ben, all the singles, greatest hits packages, re-releases etc. I don't know if it all adds up to 750 mil. but he sold well over what wikipedia claims he did.
 
I purposefully left that out because, like i said theres no way that makes up for the missing 400-500 million.

350 seems fair to me, I think Elvis and the Beatles should be dropped down also because that is a ridiculous inflated number.
