Investigation Wraps Up Next Week

I find it disturbing that TMZ has "law enforcement sources".

Harvey Levin (manager of TMZ) is a well-known lawyer who has a court show and followed OJ trial. I think that it is very normal that he will have some friends in the law enforcement and legal circles.

Wow! I did not know that! Hmmm that's pretty smart of TMZ, to have a lawyer in their team... keeps a rumour mill out of too much legal trouble I guess.

I just cant be happy or pleased about this because it should not be happening! I cant believe i am praying and hoping for justice that someone should pay for taking Michael from us! WTF! Its hard to believe that justice will happen when all i see is Michael not being hear where is the justice in that????

Why do I have a bad feeling about all this... :(

I pray to God justice is served. I believe we're looking at 2nd degree murder here.

I guess we are getting closer and closer. I can't wait to see Dr. Murray go down for Michael's death.

Jackson Investigation Wraps Up Next Week

TMZ has learned the LAPD is on schedule to present the case against Dr. Conrad Murray to the L.A. County D.A.'s office next week.

As we first reported LAPD detectives planned to wrap up their case and present it by the second week in October. They were waiting on some written evaluations by medical professionals who reviewed the evidence surrounding Michael Jackson's death.

Our law enforcement sources say the medical reports are in and the LAPD plans to formally present the case to the D.A. next week.

Prosecutors have been working with the LAPD for months now, so it's not as if the evidence will be a surprise.

Sources say Dr. Murray is still the sole target.

One well-placed law enforcement source says there's a "70/30 chance" the D.A. will take the case to the L.A. County Grand Jury rather than charge Murray directly.

As one source said, this could be a complicated case and a lengthy preliminary hearing wouldn't have a whole lot of upside for prosecutors. A grand jury indictment would be easy to get and it would avoid a prelim.

Ok, they are getting closer. I am so freaking happy about that. Finally in 4 months they will arrest just one Dr.Murray?! If it was no public concern at all they would not even think about arresting Murray! What about others who planned this murder? Super star like Jackson didn't die from accidental overdose.

totally agree with you.
we have to get through this trial though, how ever long it takes.
Michael won his trial (should never of happened in the 1st place) the law was with him then lets hope its fighting for him now.:praying:

im worried

big cheese always have a way to get out of things and it gets on my nerves

well, we shall see. personally, I wouldn't trust LAPD with anything that has to do with Mike, but the CA attorney general is involved in this case, so who knows?

I'm waiting and watching.

I will be writing to the LAPD at contact@lapd.org to tell them how I hope they get this case solved.

I am thinking to do the same. I am freaking tired from them. I do not trust them one split second from the beginning.
It would be better to protest in front of their building. If somebody lives in LA, they better come together and do it. Michael deserved it.

Just want to share one my own observation: as soon as autopsy report leaked into press, suddenly an info about LAPD “getting closer” appeared too. What a smart manipulation of ppl's minds!
Looks like they give us another “candy” ,hoping that in another 2 months or so the situation will calm down.

I was going to say the same exact thing.

It was TMZ who official pronounced Michael dead FIRST hours befor anyone else. All the other channels were still insisting he was on cardiac arrest. By 5:30 PM, the news chamged their tune and credited TMZ.

Of all the celebs show, I like TMZ the best. They have that no BS policy, where as all the other celeb shows always have a fascade to show. Too much asskissing for the celeb. Not TMZ.

I Cant WAIT To See What Happens To 'Docter' Murray , That Guy Is A Jaack@$$, That Guy Is Gonna Get Hell All Up In His Face. Just Watch When All The MJ Fans Reunited Together Ha... He Can Kiss Our Butts Good Byee :Dx

I so agree with you. Which is why I feel so sick about this. But I am glad that Michael's murderer is finally going to charged. I just hope Dr. Death spends the rest of his life in prison. Even though none of this should be happening to begin with.

I just wish all of this could bring Michael back. I am still waiting to wake up from this bad dream. It is so unreal still to me.

I'm glad this is moving forward at last. I really hope it's 2nd degree murder he's facing. This is gonna be so hard. I just want Murray to pay for what he's done!

I have a sick feeling in my stomach. I still can't believe this. None of this should have ever happened.

It's exciting.
its not a fecking concert. i wish some of you would chose your worlds properly.and elvis case was nothing like mj. his doctor did have things done against him. the cases are totally seperate one overdose one homicide

Calm down :sigh:

I said "exciting" because something is finally being done after 3 months of nothing going on. That was what I meant.

No need for you to explode like that.

And to me it's very similar to the Elvis case as it was a doctor enabling Elvis too. But I'll leave it at that. This isn't an Elvis thread, plus it's my opinion anyway. :sigh:

Thank you. The mod's already posted about rudeness on this site not being tolerated. This is a time for everyone to be somewhat "happy" as the case if finally wrapping up and justice will be done.

this wording "complicated" makes me a little bit nervous.

For me it sounds, the evidence might be not enough finally to serve justice ... And I don't get it, it is really better to go to the Grand Jury than to charge Murray directly?

Praying for justice, though nervous that with it being a complicated and complex case Murray will somehow get away with it. Surely not.

A grand jury is meant to be part of the system of checks and balances, preventing a case from going to trial on a prosecutor's bare word. A prosecutor must convince the grand jury, an impartial panel of ordinary citizens, that there exists reasonable suspicion, probable cause, or a prima facie case that a crime has been committed. The grand jury can compel witnesses to testify before them. Unlike the trial itself, the grand jury's proceedings are secret; the defendant and his or her counsel are generally not present for other witnesses' testimony.
