Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

I miss Jesus / God. I was so close to him as a child but I just grew apart from him and started having doubts about everything I was brought up to believe. So many things just don't make sense, I have so many questions and no one has any answers.

I really wish I had more faith, I want to believe again so bad but its hard. I hope God can forgive me one day if he is real. :(

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

I was just thinking about my faith. I used to be very close with God when I was child and I used to pray a lot. Then I went to school and years went by and I wasn't so close with God anymore. But few years ago I was wondering this thing and prayed a lot. I got "more faith" that way. That's kind of weird way to say it but I hope you understand me. :)

But Jaye, I think you should just block him at MSN, Facebook and so on, where ever you are contacted to him. There is no reason having him there. It's just torture. But hugs and prays to you! I hope you'll do fine. ;)

Whoaah, I'm tired. We had practises whole weekend in Bible village. It was very nice but exhausting. There is so nice people there. :)

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

Only Facebook. He deleted me a while ago. But we have quite a few mutual friends, and it would make me feel a bit uncomfortable if I saw things he posted on their walls, comments, etc. So it's a bit relieving in a way. The only other things I have of his and he has of mine are phone numbers and email addresses.

I have laryngitis. It's a little better today, but I haven't really talked to anyone yet, so I don't know how much better it is.
I am SO GLAD this is the last week of school. Prayers that I get good grades on my final exams, because my grades in my classes aren't so hot...

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

Feel better, Jaye!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

I did, thanks! I just chilled out.

You have all the faith you need. You just need to stretch it :) & God forgives you if you can forgive yourself

Oh & hi everyone! Haven't been on that often. My mother & I received a vacate notice last Thursday. We have to be out by 30th of June. Handing in applications for a unit today really hope it gets approved. Its around the corner lol but most places for rent/lease are further from my church & friends so no way to them :)

How are we all doing?

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

I am a Christian

Welcome!

I miss Jesus / God. I was so close to him as a child but I just grew apart from him

I used to be very close with God when I was child and I used to pray a lot. Then I went to school and years went by and I wasn't so close with God anymore.

If school prayer wasn't abolished and all traces of Christianity purged, then young people wouldn't be alienated from the faith. It's a travesty.:(

I pray you can find the proper accommodations.

My final exams are this week. Prayers that I do well on them.

I pray that you do. I think I did alright but sometimes I wish I had studied a bit harder. Doing well in your studies will give you many more opportunities in the future.

I hope everyone's having a good week. Bless.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

Hey guys! I don't go on here this much but I was wondering what do you guys think of Michael being a Christian? I heard he was saved!

Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild, he worked with MJ on his Invincible album and also Janet and a few of their nephews) said in this video that he, his dad and Chris Tucker met Michael Jackson and presented Christ to Him. I believe he may have received Christ into his heart that's why when the crouches approached him he was asking for prayer for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The youtube video of Jerkins' interview about Jackson is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tBU0z7oaG4

I'm in the same boat with these two fans:
When Michael Jackson died, this was when my mind and heart were stirred to want to know him. I did my research . . . read and watched interviews, read the lyrics of his songs, watched some of his concerts and humanitarian efforts, etc. Somehow, deep inside me, I have a sense that MJ is with the Lord Jesus in heaven. I did not have any proof and I prayed that the Lord would give me some discernment about it. I began praying for his children Paris, Prince Michael Jr. and Prince Michael II, for their salvation. I found an internet site where other believers searched the same thing - Did Michael accept the Lord before he died? There were lots of testimonies. There was a testimony from an individual who knew MJ personally and has said that he accepted the Lord. I continued to research further. Lots of believers from all walks of life believed that he was a believer. As for me, only God truly knows if he was saved by accepting the Lord Jesus in his life. However, I've see n the fruits of MJ's life . . . in some of his interviews, he had attributed his talents and abilities to God of the Bible; he said he believed the Bible and when asked about how he handled stress, he referred to how the Lord Jesus handled His ministry with the people - the Lord never turned anybody away even when He was very tired; MJ loved everybody especially the children; there was humility in him as he faced difficulties in this world. I also have seen the fruits of his death . . . believers have come together praying for Michael's children; people began their loving concern for MJ's spiritual condition. And now, we just received the autopsy report that Michael was in good health before he died. This is wonderful! The truth about Michael has been coming into the light bit by bit. He was a good man. I perceive that MJ sought God. Since I know that God is good; I personally believe that God revealed Himself to Michael and gave him all the opportunities to be save d before he died. I really believe this. God bless you all. Thank you Debbie for working on this project. The Truth shall set us free. Love in Christ, Lolita, Luke 1:37

I was not a fan of MJ but once he passed away I had a true conviction to learn about him through the eyes of God. It's amazing to see how God was with MJ during his journey on earth. He had a true passion for children of all ages and races. MJ was a very humble, respectful, and loving human being. He brought forth the message of peace and love and God is love. With all the suffering and persecution, he triumph through all the hardships that's what God means when he says he will never leave us nor forsake us. I give God the glory and thank him every day for giving us his only begotten son Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for all of our past, present and future sins. I watched many of MJ's interview and he spoke about reading the bible to learn about God and Jesus and how his Faith in God sustain him. He used his God given talent to be blessing to others, to share with others, to be kind, and caring. He bored the fruit of the spirit. MJ was a doer of the word of God not just hearing it and I truly applaud him for standing for what God created him to do even though the world can be very judgmental but what really matter is we are pleasing to God and not man. Romans8:28-30 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. I rejoice knowing that MJ has returned to our Father(God). A quote from Michael Jackson "I'll Never Let You Part For You're Always In My Heart." I ask that we continue to pray for his children and family.

God Bless you all!

^^^on this site, somewhere is an video interview that a woman did with Michael Jackson, in 2004, during his trial, from inside an AME Christian Church. i have been looking for it, but i currently can't find it. but hopefully i will. you might find it, before i do. it is definitely on here. in that interview, the woman asks why MJ is in the church. and his answer was 'to worship, and to see the children'. later, the woman interviewed the pastor of that church, and the pastor said, that he and his colleagues were looking out to see that MJ would be treated fairly, during the trial.

MissChanel, don't you worry about anything. The most important thing is that you have willingness and the desire to believe more. Let the Lord do the rest. I am certain He will take you where you need to be and you will find the answers to most, if not all the questions that bother you. Just give it time and act as though you had all that faith you long to experience and one day, unknowingly even, you will find yourself full of that grace and comfort which can only be brought by the Good Lord

Prayers that I get good grades on my final exams, because my grades in my classes aren't so hot...

Hope your exams went really well. It is important to get an education, it can open a lot of doors, but it is even more important to be a good person because i've known brilliant people in terms of intellect with less than kind character. Neither school, nor work are everything in this life of ours; as long as our priorities are in order and we make time for all that is important in life, all should be good.

My mother & I received a vacate notice last Thursday. We have to be out by 30th of June. Handing in applications for a unit today really hope it gets approved. Its around the corner lol but most places for rent/lease are further from my church & friends so no way to them :)

I'm so sorry to hear about that, I hope you have found an accomodation already. I really cannot imagine what it's like to live with that fear. The only thing closest to it I ever felt is the threat I had a great many years ago about not finding rent in a city very, very dear to me, but that issue was solved within a month. Let us know when you have solved this matter, will you? God bless you and your mom.

Cherry, I would basically have to highlight most of the text of the messages you post. I pretty much agree with everything they say, so I won't do that. I'll simply say what I already did some time ago (and I actually hate to do this, but anyways) – the man lived and breathed his faith. Unlike so many of us who are Christians only in name, Michael lived his faith – day in and day out, from his earliest days as a child dreaming of world peace up until creating the elaborate performance for Earth Song in This is it.

Love the quote in your siggy btw. I actually had one of them “Oh God, that's beautiful!” moments with an awesome sunset earlier. God really is the most helpess, incurable romantics possible to create soooo much beauty for us to enjoy and to cherish. In spite of all the misery in and outside of us and the mess we made out of this world He entrusted us with, there is still so much awe-inspiring, breathtaking beauty out there that it is almost incomprehensible and incredible to believe it.

Michael, as with most things, was very right to pray all the time. We certainly mustn't put a limit to the time, place and frequency we talk to the Lord. Actually that's the great thing about Him. He is the only one we can depend on at any point in our lives and in any circumstance – He is, after all, everywhere, at any given time and He knows no language barrier either lol. All He awaits is our call. And to illustrate that beauty He created, here is an awsome picture i came across recently - i would have to guess the exposure on that one was for hours to get that effect of the sky.

I would now like to share with you all a couple of images which are related to one of the most amazing Christian figures of all time, Saint Paul – the Apostle of the Gentiles, to whom we owe some of the most amazing pages of the Bible.

stpaul.jpg

Here goes a fragment that I am certain needs no translation. We all know it. It truly is an anthem to love and it contains some of the most beautiful, truest words about love ever written. We really are and have nothing without love.

innoalamore.jpg

And to finish off – a little reminder that no dream is ever really out of reach as long as we go for it steadfastidly. It is a little story about some frogs who were trying to climb a really high tower. The spectators were all chanting about how difficult it was and how they weren't going to make it. One by one, most frogs gave up except for one which would not have any of that failure talk. She eventually made it to the top. When everybody asked her how she could accomplish such a feat, they found out she was def. Simple, right?

I guess this little frogs allegory is pretty much the equivalent of an old Chinese saying – the person saying it can't be done, should not be interruping the one doing it. Therefore, anytime anyone says you can't make it, just close your ears and keep on moving. Eventually, you will get there, no matter the toil, the struggle or the time it takes.

Hello folks...GOD IS GOOD!!......today is National Day Of Prayer......Hallelujah

He certainly is. More than we can ever imagine or understand.

Wow, I certainly did compensate for not posting as often, didn't I? I best be on my way now.

God bless you everybody :)

I truly believe that Michael was saved....he was too good of a person not to be....he followed the word of the Lord. Michael was such a Blessing to us all. Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

I failed two of my classes. :(
I'm retaking one online this summer, so that should help.
I feel like I'm such a disappointment, but it was all this stuff that happened this semester as well.
I'm putting all the blame on him for messing me up, but some people are like, "You did it to yourself, too," because I got into it (but I didn't know what I was getting into) and I wasn't listening to people (but he had manipulated and controlled me so that I didn't believe them) and I let it affect me (well, when you're being emotionally abused, you get pretty deep down in the hole and I can't describe it. It's a horrible feeling).
I had dinner yesterday with a Christian friend who also knows him and is in our swing dance club. He was trying to put it into a Christian perspective for me. He loves him like he's his brother. He was saying something around the lines of, "He's a fellow Christian as well, and I hate to see a brother in Christ as down as he is. Yes, he's done so much wrong to all these people and is trying to hide all his problems with work, money, and women, but I still love him. You have too much anger built up and it's so negative. I wouldn't consider not ever associating with him again. Remember, he had just gotten out of a relationship where he was expecting to marry her and spend the rest of his life with her." Then he went on to say that you can't blame him for feeling the way he does, and he's well aware that he has a lot of problems but doesn't realize that he needs to get help, and that he's lost as a Christian, but probably doesn't realize it yet. He just needs a lot of prayer.
I'm still angry at him for all that he did to me, and it's going to take me a while to forgive him. I can't just yet.

I need this summer badly. I need to relax and re-focus, re-prioritize. I KNOW I screwed up this semester and it won't happen again. I am going to make a list of things to do besides get a job. I need some time to focus on me. And this is perfect timing.

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

Jaye, take your time with things. I have had so many people treat me badly, that I can forgive, but I can NEVER forget what they did to me. Forgiveness takes time though, especially if their is anger involved.

For now, I hope everyone celebrates a happy

Oh no I'm not Cherry (I'm Cassandra), I found these fan letters online from Christian fans of Michael and I relate to him. I know MJ was raised as a JW but left their cult in the 80's. I strongly believed he was saved. I loved his quotes on Jesus/God :) I think after the 2005 trials, his faith grew stronger. It could have been a faith test from God himself.

Thanks! I loved what he said and he's right! I should appreciate God's creation more. That pic looks pretty!

Re: Any Believers in Jesus Christ Here? (Non-debate thread for believers only)

Seth Riggs, a vocal teacher who worked with Michael for two hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week while Michael was recording Thriller and also on subsequent projects, commented on Michael's character in a Time Magazine article. "Michael is a very special man. He would come in for his lesson and sit down and we would have a prayer and then read the Bible and then have another prayer and start to work. That's the way he liked to begin his day. Can you imagine a performer as big as Michael Jackson turning around in a lesson and discussing how wonderful God has been to him and how much he loves God?"

Amen!
