Justin Bieber's "Baby" video removed by MJJ Productions [Merged]

Re: Justin Bieber's "Baby" video removed by MJJ Productions

I want to see Justin Bieber fans blaming MJ for this decision even though he's dead. I bet some of them are so stupid they actually would lmfao.

"Wtf! Michael is a jealous doo-doo head for doing that!"

"He's sort of not alive."

"Oh, right..."

Re: JB's video no longer available on YT....

hilarious.

also must have been upsetting to Justin, since I heard he was an MJ fan.

Re: Justin Bieber's "Baby" video removed by MJJ Productions

I honestly don't understand why it was pulled in the first place. Justin Bieber is quite clearly influenced by MJ as the video shows but I never saw it as a direct copy. Have you seen Neyo's Beautiful Monster? It's fantastic! It's a clear dedication to MJ as it takes moves from Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Ghosts & other MJ videos. Should that be removed too? If they remove all MJ influenced videos there won't be many left!

lol..yeah..the jealous media wants to say that MJ is no longer King..no longer on the throne. but for them to remove his crown, they would have to move much of the other artists' videos off the air, since they all look like and are influenced by him, as all those artists admit.

I so now gotta see neyo's new vid!

From the way u have described it, it sounds awesome.

I think there is something not OK...

I think it was done consciously, for some particular reason, because the only one who gets the attention is Justin and this video!
And several reports are like this one:
Last week we told you about how Justin Bieber had become the most popular artist on Youtube when his 'Baby' video romped home to a win over Lady Gaga. Well it seems the King of Pop had a problem with the crown Prince having all the glory.

Yes, that's right somehow last night Bieber's video for 'Baby' was removed from Youtube and replaced with the words 'This video is no longer available due to a copywrite claim by MJJ Productions'.

Nobody knows why this happened and the video is back online in all its 'Feat. Usher' glory but the point remains. Michael Jackson hates Bieber and is haunting him from pop heaven.

Be brave Justin, you'll be eighteen soon and all of this will go away.

I haven't seen the 'Baby' video so I don't know how similar they are. I think it might have just been a joke made by YouTube.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I mean, after all the talk that this video was so close to TWYMMF, they could have thought it was funny to take this video down for 30 minutes due to "copyright infringement" on behalf of MJJ Productions lol. Why else would the video be back so quickly, with all the views and comments intact? If it was really a copyright claim, it's gonna take more than 30 minutes to resolve it, right? And why would MJJP take it down in the first place, there are thousands of videos on YouTube that copy or are inspired by MJ one way or the other. Usher did the Moonwalk in "Pop Ya Collar" too, that video is still there. That Beat Freakz video (Somebody's Watching Me) is one big MJ parody and it's still there. Bootylicious has a little MJ moment in it with the fedora hats; it's still there. Alright, these may not have copied the whole video like Justin did, but I just can't imagine MJJP making a serious copyright claim for this. Again, if MJ was alive I think he'd applaud Justin for being inspired by him and bringing his music to a younger audience. And JB is a big MJ fan too so I can accept it from him. I saw clips of him when he was little (like 12 or something) and he was dancing to Billie Jean and stuff. I personally don't like him or his music that much, but good for him that he's living his dream. Amazing what the internet can bring :)

Edit: and let's not forget YouTube pulled jokes before. Like Rickrolling all YT videos or playing all videos upside down on April's fools day :p

Re: Justin Bieber's "Baby" video removed by MJJ Productions

This seems really weird to me. It's really hard to claim copyright on a "concept" or even certain kinds of choreography.

This is why the video was restored almost immediately.

I've had YouTube videos removed on my account before and I received the legal threats.

All a company like MJJ Prods. has to do is report the video claiming copyright infringement from their vendor login and YouTube will automatically ban it until someone can sit down and review their case. After UMG / DefJam will receive an automatic email saying they are in violation. They disagree and email back to YouTube to refute the claims. The person reviewing says, okay and puts the video back online, or says no, leaves it off, and then sends a legal warning to them to not interfere and lie about their copyright rights ever again or else face possible charges to be handled in court.

they'd love for MJ to hate Beiber, but they know better. he never expressed hate for any artist.
