Michael said it's the music that compels him to do so. It's whatever the emotion of the music is.

He said it's not like he thinks about grabbing down there where it isn't a nice place to grab.

Someone even said that when Michael grabs his crotch, there is nothing sexual about it. Instead, he grabs it in a classy way, and NOT to be lude.

BUT, from the eyes of a fangirl, we take it as lude. That's just how it is with MJ and jr.
