Yeah but both Maury and Geraldo did great things for Michael when all hell broke Lose. Muary narating that Doc about what Bashir did and Gerlado always defended Michael and interviewed him. Those two never change thier mind about Michael's innocence I don't think.

Larry King is another one who would have been good.

Just because of that I think. Trying to 'team up' (meaning co-working) with your enemies usually brings a better result than hating and dissing them. Also Bible teaches like that. Michael definitely wouldn't be mad if someone wanted to talk to Oprah if they think that's necessary. Please stop mocking Michael's family because that's completely vain. Michael taught us we should be just one big family. If you don't even try to understand it's so vain.

Riiiiiight...I guess that means The Jacksons will edit the interview. And Oprah won't have any choice but air what the JACKSONS want.

What scares me the most about this situation is the influence all this might have on MJ3. They are still very young, especially Blanket, and with time they might forget some details about Michael, so they would listen to their other relatives and form their opinion about Michael based on what they are told. I just pray they will always remember who their father truly was and will not listen to what anybody says about him.

i know that Oprah has many audiences and mum Katherine's words about Michael will set the record straight. Taj is right.. BUT this Oprah will again capitalize on, she will take advantage of Michael again and again. it hurts me, it really hurts.. i hope Oprah will shrive her words about Michael, because noone forget what she said.
i wish this interview would be with a real and honest journalist or a person. from now on we can only pray for "Oprah be honest, don't hurt Michael and his lovers"

It actually could have been one of the crew members on the interview. There probably were over a dozen techs et.al. there setting up lights, etc.

Oprah sure is getting a grand welcome in the home. I'm doing the wait and see here and hope for the best. But if I was Katherine, I'd be sure to wear a steel vest for the knife Oprah may plunge in her back!

Prince , Paris and Blanket ar individuals. They have minds of their own and can come to their own conclusions about their father. They most likely already know what killed their father, they will know thet their father wasn't perfect but msot importantly they will know their father loved them. I don't think katherine or any other family members will make them think illy of their father, as they get older they will understand things because at some point all kids come to realize that their parents are not perfect.

Dumb question to ask, Taj has alot of patience if he answers these, the most improtna thing is making people relaize the leis about MJ being a criminal aren't true. to tell you the truth I kind of expected that. I had a feeling that MJ3 might be participating in the program. I must confess I am not completely against the idea of Michael's children speaking out about him. We have to remember that both times Paris and Prince gave a public speech, it was because they wanted to do so, no one forced them. Remember how many fans hated the idea of MJ3 appearing at the Grammys, but when they did, Prince gave an amazing amazing speech that he wrote himself? And everyone was blown away and applauded to the kids and their father? Their Grammys appearance turned out to be a very positive thing for Michael's legacy.

I find it possible that the kids wanted to tell the world about their father and took this opportunity to do so. I dislike Oprah very much, I can't forgive her the things she said about Michael (even after he passed she seemed to believe he was guilty of allegations). But let's face it, she has a huge audience and it was a very obvious choice of a talk show host by the Jacksons... So if the children want to give an interview about their father, I want as many people to see that interview as possible. I know Michael's kids will make him proud and will make a lot of people change their opinion about him by speaking out.

I just hope they were not forced to make an appearance in the program and it was their wish to do that.

I read somewhere that Michael wanted Oprah to interview him again in the 2000s. He didn't approach her about it, he just wished she asked for an interview. I don't remember where I read that and who said it. Has anyone else heard about it? Was it Karen? Or somebody else? Or did I make it up?

People seemed to forget how hard Michael tried to protect his children, even though he had been ridiculed, criticized because of that. The public misunderstood him and questioned his parental skill, but Michael never ever used his children to clear his name, because he knew his children's privacy and wellbeing is the most important thing to him. but now his sacrifice and sufferings seemed meaningless.

The children had made it clear to the public already, " Michael is the best father and they love him so much", is it not enough for the public to know? If it's true they were interviewed again. There is no excuse, It's absolutely sickening, the children had been used again.

If you feel this strongly against it just don't watch it, don't support the show. Michael left his children to his mother care so you or i don't have to like her choices but her decisions should be respected. Prince and Paris are not 5 years old anymore, the are old enough to voice their opinions. If they want to speak about their father they should be able to i don't think anyone if forcing them to speak just like Paris wnated to say somethign at the memorial and Prince wnated to make a speech at the Grammy's.

From day 1 I said that I hope that Michael's kids weren't a part of this because I kinda expected that they would be dragged into this. Oprah is all about big news, big controversy, big gifts etc and neither Joe nor Katherine is that huge (news or public interest wise) but the first interview of Michael Jackson's kids is.

Although I can understand the intentions of Jacksons , we all know that even best intentions can be turned against you. Who can forget Bashir and how he turned Michael's words and an interview 180 degrees with editing.

I still hope that this isn't a true news and Prince, Paris and Blanket aren't a part of Oprah show.

Exactly. No matter how you slice it, the children were used. They're not toddlers anymore, but they're still little kids. It must have been overwhelming emotional labor for them to appear on national television and answer questions about their deceased father. It's something that even some tough grown-ups would find it hard to do. They had no idea they were being used in this mess, which is what makes it a lot easier for Oprah to take advantage of them.

I wouldn't mind at all if they were adults and were able to give Oprah a big ass-whooping. But now, it's a no-no. Mike is rolling in his grave. Out of all the disgusting things that happend after his death, this is the biggest tragedy for him to deal with.

I'm hoping that as well.

It reminds me of when the brother's did their reality show, and the press started reporting that MJ3 would be appearing on the brother's show. In the end the children did not appear and in my opinion, nobody said anything to the contrary because it made good press for the show to let that story "simmer."

I'm thinking the same may be happening here, i.e. "make people think the children will be appearing in order to garner maximum exposure." Because like Ivy said, Joe and Katherine are not really big news. As a matter of fact I don't believe Ms. Katherine's interview on Dateline broke any records or was what they like to call "must see tv."

I also believe the purpose of this interview is to get some exposure for Ms. Katherine's book. I mean, thus far, I don't see any massive interest in the book, to be honest.

And here we go again. Why freak out over the rumors? How many times have the children been mentioned that they were participating in stuff that they were NOT. Don't you think the person that leaked photos to TMZ would have also leaked photos of MJ3 being interviewed or at least in the room? Would those not have been the photos that got the most $$. And if they were, then Katherine made the decision she thought best.
