Kelly Osbourne is relieved she's managed to overcome her painkiller addiction - because she fears she would have suffered the same fate as Michael Jackson.

Ozzy Osbourne's daughter has a long history of substance abuse but successfully conquered her demons following several stints in rehab.

The reality star has now opened up about her drug problems in a new interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, revealing at the height of her downward spiral she was taking up to 50 pills a day.

And she is still haunted by the deaths of stars like the late King of Pop, who died from an overdose of prescription painkillers, because she is convinced she was heading down the same tragic path.

In an upcoming episode of Piers Morgan's Life Stories, she says, "At the start I only took one (pill) every weekend. Then it was one every weekday, then two a day, then three. By the end I was taking so many pills I was on my hands and knees vomiting blood because the drug was ripping away my stomach lining. I was taking 50 a day, more than twice the legal dosage, and every day I took one more, hoping I wouldn't wake up.

"If I hadn't gone into rehab then, I'm sure I wouldn't be here now. I feel very lucky because people die every day from taking painkillers like Vicodin, and I was taking much more than them. Michael Jackson, Brittany Murphy - the list goes on. But I got a chance to fix my life."

Neither Michael or Britney Murphy died from painkillers.. Kelly needs to read the autopsy report..

And Michael is now the measuring stick when it comes to celebrity overdoses, despite what an autopsy says? Psshh. :doh:

the misinformation superhighway continues on. apparently, reading is not always fundamental. but the one they didn't mention, the one they apparently don't care about(not that they cared about MJ), ... the press has a funny way of showing who they always thought was the biggest star in the world. they always knew long before june last year, whose name in print paid their bills the most.

but Osbourne is proof that, on average, people skim headlines. and the press eats that up.

The media is seriously trying to change history... Mike didn't have a pill in his body and he had a 20 year cardiologist by his bedside injecting him, yet none of that is mentioned in this article. Of course they are trying to change history and make it seem as if MJ died from a self-inflicted drug overdose. They have an agenda, that's why we as his fans need to make sure folks know the truth

Mike will never run out of fans willing to uphold his legacy. that's the real reason why we are called 'delusional'. the press has always envied Michael's success and his serious fan-age which is the motive behind their discounting him and lying about him, on everything from his sales count, during his life, to his cause of death. but that shouldn't stop us, the fans.

she can read.. her father Ozzy knows because he said that Murray should've been charged with murder 2, because that stuff should only be given in hospitals. Ozzy knows it yet Kelly doesn't?? I don't believe that.

Good Grief not another nonsense report. Where do people get their facts from. Sometimes I wish I was related to MJ so I could sue, because the lies are becoming overbearing.
 
I am so sick and tired of people making Michael look like some sort of pill-popping addict. When are people going to get their facts straight?

How hard is it for the media to do a simple fact check? 2 seconds on google, that's all it takes. Is that too much to ask? Neither Brittany Murphy nor Michael Jackson died from painkiller overdose. I didn't even have to google that to know it.
 
This coming from the same girl who apparently said, "Michael Jackson's dead, get over it." or some BS like that when people were giving a ton of requests to her than DJ boyfriend/fiance to play Mike's music at some party or club or whatever, only a brief time after Michael's passing (her even saying that same thing today would be just as horrible as well). This does not shock me. Kelly and her family have talked crap about Michael for years, from her vile mother, remember her talk show and how she had an entire hour dedicated to the trial and talked trash about Michael, his fans, etc., and so on. **Thinks of what Ozzy did in the '90s during some of his concerts**

Kelly is just an uninformed ignorant untalented spoiled brat.
