This is not because one or two word really sounds like Michael's voice at the end that means it's him.

Some impersonators could have already confused us sometimes on youtube but here that's too much, at the first word we know it's not Michael.

This is simply scandalous to play with the Michael Jackson name when we are profesionals and just for $.

I hope the media will broadcast the information.

Honestly.... i absolutely love it !!!

when he first started sining i was taken aback but i think we need to remember it was recorded 2007 i believe ? Michael wasnt really in the full singing mode or recording heavily during those years. His voice would be at full strain and he would have almost been 50 also... meaning its natural his tone will sound different as it matures.

I think as much as people think this is fake, i honestly in my heart doubt. It has michael all over it regardless of what the original recording was like. its a song he would do ... and did do !!

For sony to bring out something that wasnt by an artist is not right... and illeagal! i dont think sony ( one of the biggest companies in the world ) would risk the embarassment and or hit on its reputation for something like this and would destroy them financially. So no i dont think sony would openly try to 'pull the wool over our eyes'

People, just calm down and take it for what it is.... Michael.

In my opinion, im really liking it and i hate to say already managed to wangle onto the ipod for the time being and im sure it will be blaring out all day today :)

Michael will be up there right now loving all this controversey, i just know it ;)

Wow if Damien has doubts about this song...something is seriously f*cked up.

I listened to it twice, and I thought it was MJ, just too much computer work. Something maybe seriously wrong here.

and what really makes me know it isnt him, is this isn't like a 2000 watts type thing where it was just a different pitch. THIS SOUNDS like someone we know, who was mistaken before as Michael, Jason Malachi. This is Jason trying to have Michael's original pitch and its to breathy and michael never said his own name in a song over and over, and ending words in "aaayy" its too boy-band for Michael.

I feel the same way right now... My initial reaction was "WTF IS THIS SH**?!" and then I listened to it for a third time and I'm like "Hmm... maybe he's in some of this song?". Sigh... I don't know.

If you listen to the sound at 3:14. Im feeling Teddy Riley took the "Oh" from Jam and put it on this song. Its so alike!!

MJ's voice might be there somewhere in the background if the song has been a very raw demo version, but the lead singer and what you mainly hear is definitely not MJ.

I'm heartbroken, but at the same time I can't stop laughing how stupid and brainless did they (Sony) think we (fans) are? That they could fool us and we would not recognize a fake music? Hello, we are talking about Michael Jackson here!

Seems purposely done $$$, also another example of the ongoing media manipulation surrounding all things MJ. Just can't believe everything we see or hear. *shrug* Shame on the games...

But I can tell Mike's voice even in his worse demos.

Mike has a really distinct voice. The dictation alone tells us so much. Michael does not PRONOUNCE his own name like that.

HMH was 2007 or actually in 08 wasn't it? listen to it then this and you can hear the voices are different.

Haha, damn... there never seems to be the ending of controversy surrounding Michael. And he's not even here with us. :lol: Sigh~ But yeah... about the song. I don't know what to believe. Why do I feel weird about this?

Something's Amiss

I just listened to "Breaking News" and I have to say I think it's time everyone STOPS bashing Michael's family and gets to the bottom of what's going on!

My mind is saying we need to know what is the deal behind the contract the estate signed with Sony. His family is not allowed to speak about it- WHY?

Why did Sony choose to use this song as a "teaser" for the new CD? Are they wanting to help record sales or hinder them? I want to know.

My mind has gone in many directions with this song and though some parts I hear vocals that sound like MJ for the most I don't. I considered could he have been sick, like when I get a cold my voice sounds different but I disregarded that because it isn't as if the vocals sound like someone with a cold. I even wondered if medication could have made him sound different and I guess that's possinle but still I wondered of what over three hundered tracks going several years back - why did Sony release that...

The only thing that sits on my mind and in my heart is that there is something in that contract we need to know about. Is Sony trying to help or hinder sales with this release?

Another thought- though not one I feel strongly about is perhaps Sony wanted to know before they released the CD that it was MJ's voice from the fans perspective but then i thought why plan a "month of streaming of such and also why with the initial "teaser" did they exclude any of the lyrical parts. Any conclusions?

My gut tells me something is amiss and at this point I aim to find out what.

Everyone who loves Michael I am asking you to please stand by the family unless we have a concrete reason not to. Sony tried to destroy Michael before in more ways than I could type care to type tonight in efforts of gaining his share of that catalog and this too may be part of their schemes.

My guessing is maybe a certain amount of record sales had to be produced before MJ would start earning profits or regaining his intrist in the catalogs. What is the big 250 million dollar secret?

I know this I plan to watch Oprah tomorrow to see what Mrs. Katherine has to say and I urge you all to do the same.

I've only listened to the song through headphones, about 10 times and I agree there are some strange things, like layers which kick in out of time. I like the song, i like the beat etc. Im sure the horns and violins are 'extra bits' - but who knows for sure?

I was trying to get on here to celebrate but then i saw all the reactions....I went back and listened again, and YES this time I noticed that the heavier vocal sounds like sombody else, especially the chorus, BUT Michael's vocals are extremley clearly present for me. You cant deny his vocals are on this track. Not 100%; there's definatley other voices on there too. UNLESS its just very heavily layered, with new technilogy and like everyone is saying experimentation.

I can't write this off as not being Michael. I just can't - cause I HEAR him.
