Re: US Radio Airplay: Breaking News Gets Mixed Reviews

Its a bad sign when you have the general public questioning whether its Michael's vocals. That says a lot right there.

Oh really? Like it couldn't have been prevented. It's so far away from what Michael did and how he did it it's like just other artist's work. If you want Michael's music to succeed it has to contain even something that's familiar about Michael. Fake tracks don't no matter how much they are 'Michael's music'. And BN isn't even composed by Michael, come on.. Secondly, there should have been even one reason to release exactly stuff like that. I haven't heard any reasons because I bet there is not.

there is a new version. and it is on the site. come on people, now , we should be happy that we won the battle. you may not like the song, but this IS Michael's voice we are hearing now.

Won what battle? You dont speak for everyone.

At the moment there appear to be more people who believe it ISNT Michael. In case you havent noticed.

There isnt a new version. Its just that the video trails in and out off high quality.

Re: US Radio Airplay: Breaking News Gets Mixed Reviews

Hopefully other songs will be better recieved.

I've heard it from a very good source that Sony has decided to pull the album, and an announcement will be made shortly. Obviously you can see that this is my first post so I don't have credibility, but just remember this post in the next few days. More information to come.

@Nighty: can you tell exactly what you did? or how did you record (or capture?) the stream

if what you did was inverting the signal of one track then mixing both, then you won't get a complete silence unless you have a 100% bit by bit exact recording of both times (which is impossible and you only recorded a part), or you found some way to download the file from the servers.

if you did it using another way please tell us how so we can check

Re: US Radio Airplay: Breaking News Gets Mixed Reviews

Poor Michael gets criticized for something he didn't do. Thank you, Sony. :(

hmmmmm on what basis?

DJs have been asking listeners to call in to comment.

This MJ fake vocals is purely a fan - estate - Sony -Jacksons manufactured scandal.

Hopefully other songs will be better received.

The song HAS NOT BEEN SERVED to RADIO STATIONS, because it is NOT a single. So programmers are getting it from the website.

The general public couldn't care less. Truth.

Re: US Radio Airplay: Breaking News Gets Mixed Reviews

This entire thing is ridiculous. Whether it is MJ on the songs or not they shouldnt be on the album.

What I did was capturing whatever was coming throu my soundcard (M-Audio Audiophile 2496) via Sound Forge in Wav format (I'll go through this in the video I promised to post tommorow). I recorded the same way this monday and earlier tonight, so there's no difference in my capturing method, my levels were just slightly higher in volume tonight. Then I went throu the whole inverting thing and and adjusted the volume so they would be exactly the same, decibel wize, and the result is what you see in my earlier post - complete silence - 2 different recordings, "New" one VS Monday version - Silence...

What do you mean 'couldn't care less'? You really think general public take those songs like they believe it's Michael?! Dozens of millions people know how he sounds and that's why he has been selling so well. Because of his unique and recognizable voice..

There are several ways to get the audio directly from Sony's page.

The one I use is, I downloaded IDM (Internet Download Manager), installed it, and it comes with a great feature which let's you download any playing media. Like Youtube videos straight from there, etc. So you an download the song from Michael Jackson's official page. You'll get a .FLV file since it's a video, and you'll then have to get a FLV to MP3 or a FLV to WAV converter to load it into SoundForge, ...

I just let my husband hear the 'new''version. He, not a fan but MJ liker, said, without knowing anything about this ongoing discussion: 'That somehow sounds better than last Monday, less clutter, you hear him sing more clearly now.'

For those that missed it, Nighty's first post compared the 'Monday' version with today's version and both are IDENTICAL. Those of you thinking Sony have changed it to 'add in' more MJ really need to talk sense. If they had 'more MJ' they would have included more MJ. This song is not MJ, unless you count the occasional 'hoo' and 'hee' lifted from his previous songs.

There is no new version. You should've trusted your initial instincts before your ears were corrupted with this crap.

This!
I bet most of those listeners who left a comment were fans anyway. This should be about the song. Come on guys, Breaking News is hot and has got hit potential!

It's average at best. Not MJ standard at all.

@ Nighty: i thought so, and I was about to edit my post to say that both were the same except for volume. thanks for the reply.

@deebee09: Im actualy using IDM, but whenever i click the download button it says "can't download media". maybe i should update to the latest version.

Re: US Radio Airplay: Breaking News Gets Mixed Reviews

That's what people (even the fans) said about Invincible. It's okay, we can agree to disagree.
I just can't believe how the fans slag off Michael's song. If there weren't any doubts about the vocals, I wonder what people would say then. I think there is a lot of negativity towards this song because people call it a fraud. All of a sudden they question everything, from the lyrics to the way his voice sounds. There are always those who can never stop moaning, that's how it is, you can't please everybody.

Yeah! You should try that, cuz I've had no problems downloading it.

Re: US Radio Airplay: Breaking News Gets Mixed Reviews

^^This.

The lyrics I've got is :

Michael Jackson – Breaking News Lyrics

Everybody wanting a piece of Michael Jackson
Reporters stalking the moves of Michael Jackson
Just when you thought he was done, he comes to give it again.
They could put around the World today
he wanna write my obituary

no matter what, you just wanna read it again
no matter what, you just wanna feel it again
why is it strange that I would fall in love
who is the boogie man you’re thinkin’ of
oh am I crazy coz I’m just in love
this is breaking news this is breaking news<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

Everybody watching the news of Michael Jackson
They wanna see that I fall, cause I&#8217;m Michael Jackson
You write the words to destroy, like it&#8217;s a weapon
you turn your back on the love and you can&#8217;t get it again<o:p></o:p>

no matter what, you just wanna read it again
no matter what, you just wanna feel it again
Why is it strange that I would fall in love
who is the boogie man you thinkin&#8217; of
oh am I crazy coz I&#8217;m just in love
this is breaking news this is breaking news
why is it strange that I would fall in love
who is the boogie man you thinkin&#8217; of
oh am I crazy coz I&#8217;m just in love
this is breaking news this is breaking news<o:p></o:p>

On the news today they say we're CRAZY celebrity
And on the screen today we're on display

why is it strange that I would fall in love(why is it strange)
who is the boogie man you thinkin&#8217; of
oh am I crazy coz I&#8217;m just in love
this is breaking news this is breaking news
Why is that strange that I would fall in love
who is the boogie man you thinkin&#8217; of
oh am I crazy coz I&#8217;m just in love
this is breaking news this is breaking news

You&#8217;re breaking news.<o:p></o:p>

Are those correct? and if not, help me correct them so we get the 100 % accurate lyrics. Thanks!

Re: Lyrics for BreaKING News

I find it hard to believe that Michael would write and record a song like that in 2007 when he was hardly in the media as much as he was say..... 2 years before.

Re: US Radio Airplay: Breaking News Gets Mixed Reviews

Well if Sony knew it was not Michael's voice and they went ahaed and used it it's their lost for being greedy. I think the album will still do good though, people are very hungry for anything MICHAEL.

Re: Lyrics for BreaKING News

Maybe he wrote this song in 2004-5 - finished it in 2006-7 and recorded it 2007.

He could have startet writing the song years before recording it BUT this is ONLY about the lyrics, the IS IT OR NOT discussion can be discussed in many MANY other threads. This is only an attempt to get the correct lyrics.
