Official "Michael" Tracklist and First Single "Hold my Hand" Announcement

It would be really interesting to actually see that note the Estate say they "found". They should include it in the CB booklet. Why not? After all, that would be a nice thing to see and it would make things easier for all of us. It's clear they are aware of the fans not being totally "happy" for being HMH the first single, since they know we already "have it", so I guess this thing of the note adds the necessary amount of "emotion" they needed to have the fans to accept this decition.

And yes, sure, I would like to see that note!!!

And we know this is 10000% MJ when MJ is suppossed to be singing. Then is Akon :)mello:). I like this song very much. If they say now is really finished, then sure, I would like to hear it. Now... to spend the night waiting for this again... as last week..... emm..... well..... to be honest, I don't feel like going through that again. Once is enough :mello:

(it's funny how they find notes and things and songs in boxes... it's really funny, isn't it? First TII now this... that Michael Jackson was so messy....)

Well.... I will try to get some of the emotion back, I guess.

The tracklist could be better, but we all have to realise they need to have some great music also for future releases, cos Michael is no more here with us and it would be very sad if they don´t have anything good to realease in future. So we shouldn´t be selfish. But I still hope they will make it a bit better with some bonus tracks (at least 2-3). The thing which is the most confusing for me is the including of The way you love me song. I really hope that will be another song or at least another take and mix. Otherwise they should release We´ve had enough or Escape instead.

But I have a question: Do we know if the last leaked new version of Another Day is really the one on the album? Cos I think the previous (old one version) was much better!

And btw., I can´t wait for monday! :)

sorry but its sad to see people complaining about 50 cents they didnt even hear his collaboration yet

I heard a bit of the snippet of Monster
but let's hope that was not really the song they will include here.

I am trying my best to be positive, as requested by the fan community in this thread :flowers:

1st. 10 tracks on the album is a rip-off.
It's not... Thriller got 9 songs and don't tell me it's because of the vinyl...
You don't have to pack an album full of tracks, just because there is space for like 75Minutes. They did this with Invincible and some of those songs are just plain booring...

And: DYKWYCA was leaked!
Why the hell would you blame anyone for not putting this song on the new album then?

50Cent... okay I don't like him, but I will wait until I hear the full song before I judge.

If Sony said it's Michael, many fans would believe them. Why? Just because it's "official".
Very sad.

you are pathetic. so disrespectful of u to not hear and believe/support this when its michael singing the song.. listen to the frickin accapella version of it ... cant believe u

Leaked only in part, and response from fans seemed overwhelmingly positive. Yet I do understand it's more that 90s style and may not fit with everything else here.

its not sad LOL! its a nightmare ! its R.I.P MJ LEGACY! ANd critics will destroy this album saying MJ can't sing (well ,of course since its not even him singing ) and made wack music...
The track (monster) sounds fake ..and now i see 50 cent on there its even worse!
if u are MJ and a hip hop fan u should feel me!
A fake MJ track with 50 cent on a new MJ album! nice really!

dont mind what i say..its just my opinion!

Curious if you mean it's a rip-off for the price of the album, or because there is a thirst for more material and we know they have it?

Both the price of the album, and definatly the thirst for material... We all know MJ would never release a Digital (not vinyl records) record that consists of 10 tracks, it just doesn't do justice tot he title 'New Michael Jackson album'. This is more like an EP or something... very dissapointing

Lets stop the negativity, Let Michael live after his death, lets not let him simmer into the distance.. Sure he will always be with us but "I" personally want those people that dont rate michael or think he was finished to see how much of a truly great artist he was. There is also a younger society that should take to Michael also

I am very excited about this album. People are complaining about every little thing here. It's ridiculous. You haven't even heard it and you're complaining.

How about this? How about you give the album a chance and then you make a decision. People are setting themselves up to hate the album without cause as of yet.

I think we all need to take a deep breath and relax. This deal was stretched out over a long period of time. The music they have to work with is finite seeing as MJ is not here to contribute anymore.

1st. 10 tracks on the album is a rip-off.
2nd. 3 tracks are supposedly fakes by the Cascios.
3rd. 50 cent? WTF? And no 'Do you know were you're children are'

I'm definatly reconsidering buying this album... It's a disgrace to MJ's legacy IMO.

1. We should all feel considerably lucky that there's any material we're receiving at all.

2. It is in the highest degree of probability that the tracks are genuine.

3. Meh, I'm not all that enamoured with 'Fiddy' either, However 'Do You Know (Where Your Children Are) was recorded circa. 1990. Given the track listing, it's apparent the Estate wanted to focus on the newer recordings first.

Ofcourse vinyl was a limitation back then, and why do you bring op 'Vince? Remember Dangerous and History cd2?

Sony says it's MJ: "THEY LIE F#CK THOSE IDIOTS"
Sony says it's not MJ: "I KNEW IT RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING BOCOYTT!!!"

the same with the MJ Estate...
the same with everyone who produced songs with Michael...

I think most of those negative just listened to the song and immediately thought it was not MJ, because his voice sounds different in BN. And then actually stick on their opinion, because false rumors make them believe they are right...

You wanted an official statement and you got it, but you still don't believe...

That's sad...

I bring Vince because this album is an example for unnecessary tracks feat. on a main album to make it run longer^^

And in no way am i trying to be negative towards MJ, rather towards the decision makers at Sony/Estate in relation to this 'New Michael Jackson Album' release... When it's made up of 10 songs, you can hardly call it a full album... we live in 2010 not 1980!

That said i'm more of an observer of the online community ever since 2005, and believe it or not I actually like 'Breaking News' though i'm very much convinced MJ did sing the chorus and backlines... most of the first 2 minutes doesn't sound like him... and i've been listening to his voice since the age of 2.

If this is the track "Monster" which is to be fearured on the album it will be horrendous as it's even clearer then on Breaking News... Listen...

Also Listen to this version of "Behind The Mask", I think it's gonna be killer with Michael's voice on it, you can already feel the magic of Michael in it ^^

Btw, is it confirmed that "Keep Your Head Up" is also a Cascio track? :puke:

sorry u dont understand!
Biggie was famous, but he was DOPE!the greatest mc on the east coast! and he was not a POP artist like 50 cent! ..! and 50 has more fans in europe than in USA!...
Biggie was not bigger in 2001 since he was dead for 6 years already!
That was Rodney's idea to put biggie on there not mikes!
Ok, first of all, the amount of fans 50 Cent has in Europe compared to the States is completely irrelevant to this discussion. Michael is a GLOBAL artist with fans all over the world and I don't think he would've based his decision to work with someone on the amount of fans they have. He works together with people he finds interesting, or who he feels can bring an interesting component to his songs. My statement about Biggie was actually a reference to his death -- after he was killed and mainstream audiences became aware of him he became a lot more popular. Sad but true. Hence, the decision to use his vocals on 'Unbreakable' was a much bigger deal than his verse on 'This Time Around'. And even if that was Rodney's idea, Mike signed off on it, didn't he?

i see u are not a HIP HOP FAN! to understand!
Please, don't make assumptions like that.
its different to put a rapper on the VERSE then to put somebody to play guitar on the track! HELLO???
The principle is still the same -- on 'Give In To Me' he wanted to have a kick-ass guitar solo, so he asked Slash. On 'This Time Around' he wanted a dope rap verse, so he asked Biggie. Same principle -- he works together with people who he feels can add an interesting component to a song and take it to another level.

Thriller 25 is not THE REAL ALBUM ! A NEW STUDIO ALBUM! THE MOST ANTICIPATED ALBUM OF ALL TIME! Thriller 25 WERE REMIXES!
i dont mind 50 cent on a remix ,but not on the OFFICIAL ALBUM!!!!!
Fair enough. That's your opinion though. And mind you -- none of us have even heard 'Monster' yet... We heard some crappy second-rate snippet with a woman talking all over it. There's no way I could make any judgments about the final product based on that, and I honestly don't understand how anyone else could.

sorry maybe its just me...but 50 cent JUST DONT WORK 4 ME!!!!!!
I understand you don't like him as an artist, and I'm not saying I do -- there are at least a dozen other rappers out there that I'd rather see on an MJ song. But I'm willing to be patient and listen to the track before passing judgment. As has been mentioned in this thread, MJ did know him and did meet him, probably several times. And The Game even raps about MJ stopping the beef between him and 50 on 'Better On The Other Side'. It's not such a stretch for them to end up on a song together.

Thirller was in 1982! and thats a DUET with singing! its different with RAP MUSIC! paul was mikes friend at that time and paul was from beatles!
The year of release is kinda irrelevant though, isn't it? And I wasn't comparing 'The Girl Is Mine' to 'Monster' or Paul McCartney to 50 Cent or duets to rap verses -- you implied that, because the album is titled 'Michael', 50 Cent shouldn't be on it. By that logic Akon and Lenny Kravitz shouldn't be on it either. And most of Thriller's songs shouldn't have made the album because they're not scary... It doesn't make any sense. And that's what I was trying to point out.

I refuse point blank to buy this album.
I get the feeling its going to be as fake as Breaking News especially if John branca has anything to do with it,which he has because he is head of the MJ estate and is in charge of what songs get out there so there for I just know somewhere along the line were going to get screwed over..AGAIN.
I cant believe people are stupid enough to be falling for it.
This is not going to be a 'Michael' album or not a Michael album as we know it.

wat ? I said MJ is actually singing the song - breaking news, are u saying I aint believe its him when I stated its him ???

Most of these comments are just plain bitchy. Get over it this is the album we are getting. If you dont like it then wait for the next album in a few years and shut up and let us look forward to something without you ruining it for everyone enforcing your opinions. Just shut up.

sorry but its sad to see people complaining about 50 cents they didnt even hear his collaboration yet

Sorry but 50 cents and Akon are not even real musicians. They are way way below Michael's standards. Michael would have never let them be in his solo albums. These leaches took advantage of Michael kindness. They befriended him and then convinced him to record with them.. Michael being so kind and polite has agreed' but only as a favor of appreciation, not to have them on his albums... same goes for Will I am... At least this album as one respectable guest artist - Lenny.

nope, you're totally right...
Im not used to this forum removing the quotes in a post I quote.
I wanted to add things which helps to understand this whole misery, because I have the same opinion as you. (I think so ;) )

The amount of songs on an album don't make the album. The quality of the songs on an album do.

Also, the price argument is, in my opinion, invalid. Prince has been releasing albums with 10-12 tracks for the past 6 years and nobody is complaining about that. Same goes for U2 and, I'm sure, a bunch of other big acts.

Everyone looking forward to this release, please enjoy it. In no way am i trying to bitch to fellow fans. It´s just my personal opinion that we are getting screwed over now that MJ is gone in regards to this album. The videogame, circus show and vision dvd set are gonna be great! Especially the OMC video
