Willow Smith's song has had heavy promotion on TV and press, plus being Will Smith's kid has helped.

Anyway there was two threads about the UK chart so merged them both.

i heard a advert on the radio today...capital fm i think it was. Basically advertising the new single is out now with akon and little sample...

I know right?
The only promotion I've seen was just one commercial for the new album, and tons and tons of commercials for the MJ Experience game. Someone even told me they saw the commercial for the game 4 times in one hour. They need to pick up on the actual album promos, and promos for the single man. :mello: I know some people don't even know that there's a new album out soon or heard Hold My Hand.

Same here. I have heard the ad at Galaxy, Heart and I guess also at other readios here.

'Hold My Hand' is making a lot of upwards movement on the iTunes charts again - possibly due to the video (finally!) being released. Here are some placings/movements worthy of note;

# 6 SPAIN
#10 UK
#11 NEW ZEALAND (+9)
#11 ITALY
#11 DENMARK
#13 GERMANY
#15 BELGIUM
#16 NORWAY (+23!)
#18 LUXEMBOURG (+33!)
#26 CANADA
#28 MEXICO (+18)
#31 FINLAND (NEW)

'HMH' seems to be on the way up in nearly all countries listed.

Sadly top10 on itunes counts for nothing.
It will only be classed as a top10 single IF it is in the top10 when the official chart is unveiled on Sunday night on BBC Radio1.
Currently the song is at #11 in the midweek chart but it could still climb (or drop) before midnight Saturday.

I will post the updated midweek chart information in one of the HMH threads in the next hour or so, but here is the chart run so far this week.

Day1 = #14
Day2 = #13
Day3 = #11
Day4 = #???

How do we keep it at #10? I'm not that bothered about it not getting to #1 now.

Top 10 without zero promotion = amazing!!! Nice on guys. Michael loved us London fans.

That's good news! Now the video is being shown I'm hoping more of the general public will realise it's available to buy so there may still be a chance it gets to No. 1.
