Re: Monster - The Great Debate

There is NO "broad" difference between any of the casico tracks vocally. It's all the same tone and it's DEFINATELY not mature Michael. It's mature someone else but it's an insult to michaels vocal prowess to say that those vocals match Michael in his prime or beyOnd. I'm really sorry for the people that can't spot the difference

...Mike's voice had matured, obviously...When I listen to Monster, it doesn't sound like 49 year old Michael Jackson...It sounds like a kid in his 20's....and I'm not saying this because I hear Jason Malachi's voice in those tracks, I'm saying it because it does sound like a kid in his 20's, regardless of who the eff it is...

THANK YOU! Maybe it's Malachi, maybe not, but it damn sure ain't Michael. It's a 20 something voice, tone... Doesn't have the weight or grit

Re: Monster - The Great Debate

How can you expect this to be taken seriously amongst the rest of the world or even a court of law, if you can't even figure out which impersonator is on the song?

Really? Really? You went there?

I very much doubt people are au fait with the vocal subtleties of impersonators worldwide.

P.S. I'd only report a post if it broke the rules. As far as I know, making truly unreasonable statements is ok as long as it's not offensive. So I think you're ok.

Well, the new story now is that it's multiple impersonators, so nobody can tell who's singing what.

You don't have to know who it is to know it's not Michael. Who it isn't is important and it's not Michael.

Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by them?

Just to clarify, this thread isn't about your personal opinion of these songs, but about what you think the estate plan to do with the rest of them.

Do you think they will have taken onboard the opinions of the disillusioned fans and this whole thing will go down as a learning curve or do you think they will continue to stand by them and even release more Cascio tracks on future albums?

There is apparently 12 of them all in all, so someone somewhere needs to make a decision about whether the other 9 songs (including All I Need and Stay) should see the light of day or not.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

I think we will be hearing more Cascio tracks on future releases and I am looking forward to hear them like any other MJ songs.. Teddy Riley said that Burn Tonight is great so I think it will be included on the next release of unreleased material. Probably Water too..

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

Well, I really hope there is no more Cascio tracks on future albums...All they do is cause trouble it would seem. They probably should have never been on the album on the first place and three GREAT leaked songs should have been on there. Personally,I think they should be releasing songs as they are finished and they should stop tampering with them. Don't alter them, release them as they are completed..

Perhaps, in the future when there is no more unreleased Material they can release them as "recently brought to competition/super over processed tracks " with more of an actual explanation behind them why the vocals sound the way they do.

I'm hoping they don't listen to the minority of hardcore fans. I think to shelve these tracks is to brush aside MJ's final works. It would really be a shame.

However, what I hope will happen is we'll get more transparency about the production and more details about the original recordings to make everyone sleep a bit better at night.

Also I hope songs don't continue to be over-modernised or over-produced.
"Michael" felt rushed. I hope the next one is done more tastefully.

...but I really hope they don't give in with the Cascio tracks just because they'll lose sales due to boycott.
Then they'd really be $ONY.

I say keep 'em coming.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

I'm curious to hear "Water", if only to see if it has got any resemblance to the micro-snippet that Michael sang in "This Is It", and "Burn Tonight" also piques my interest, because it's allegedly a salsa song/

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

i really dont know

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

Maybe rather than waste time making a new physical album with the Cascio tracks, they should release them all together as an online album. If fans like what they hear, they can download the songs or the whole album for a price. Saves Sony money by not having to create cds and have them sitting on the store shelves not being bought.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

Based on the reaction of the Jackson family and many fans to these songs, I suspect the Estate will not take the risk to release more Cascio tracks in the future unless they can resolve some of the authenticity issues and quality of the vocals.

I'm gunna give you a "really?" too because that kin of thinking is not flyable. It's like saying ok we know your brother was murdered but I you can't tell us who killed him then he wasn't murdered.... It doesn't matter who did it, it was done.

For the casico track believers...hey, you're calling that michaels voice, then that's YOUR michaels voice. MY Michael, Michael Jackson, the amazing child prodigy gifted singer... Well, he didn't sing those 3 songs.

Assuming it's not Michael, would those in court expect people to proof who the true person is on the tracks, or to just proof that it isn't Michael?

If they are solely interested in making financial gains, they would do best to drop all of the controversial tracks from future album releases. They don't even have to bow down to the opinions of disillusioned fans, they just need to consider the resultant sales of the 'Michael' album.

But I'm not in a position to say if the Estate regrets having released the tracks or not. For all I know, they just might decide to release the rest of the bunch after all.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

I hope they'll release all of the Cascio tracks, whats come out so far is great.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

They can go ahead and release all the songs they want....Just not on a Michael Jackson album...

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

I guess they learned there lesson much too soon...

They will never released (read shouldn't) another Cascio song again. - Way too much controversy.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

While this is slightly off-topic, I'm hoping for an Ultimate Collection-esque box set where we'll have the original versions of the songs in "Michael" and any other future release like that. Plus stuff that didn't make the album(s).

Re: Monster - The Great Debate

The last song from Michaels last studio album...
"Oh yes... I forgot to introduce you to the MONSTER.... The unkown monster is about to embark, from a far corner out of the dark...
A human presence that you feel is strange...
A monster the worst thing to fear (or maybe "the worst thing to hear")

What you have just witnessed could be the end of a particularly terrifying nightmare, it isnt. It's the beginning.....

Well that sums up my perspective on Monster and 'Michael'

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

Well I don't know the income or profit from 'Michael' but if they have any insight of whats going on outside the world or inside here, I say NO way they are going to release (or would have released) these songs.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

They shouldn't, but knowing them, they probably will. Sad situation.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

nope, money is being made and by any means to sell mj as such. sad

Re: Monster - The Great Debate

Assuming it's not Michael, would those in court expect people to proof who the true person is on the tracks, or to just proof that it isn't Michael?

As far as the law is concerned, you'd have to be able to prove who's really on the records for consumer and other forms of fraud. I don't think one would be able to walk in and say "this isn't Michael Jackson, here's why.." and then leave everyone in the dark as to who it really is. Because not only the company suffers the brunt of consumer fraud, the artist does as well, as proven with the Milli Vanilli scandal.

And to the rest of you, my question was a legit and serious question, this isn't a murder case, so it's completely different, keep in mind that a murder investigation will fall flat on it's face if one were to say "This is the guy, no wait, I think it's him, or him". That's exactly what's going on with this whole situation. Like I said you don't like the question, report it, instead of resulting in insults.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

I thought the whole "water" thing was a joke?

Anywho, if I were them, I'd just avoid the backlash and shelve the songs, whether they're Michael or not. I doubt they'll do that though, because if what was stated in the press release is true, then they'd go into the next album having full confidence that the voice is authentic.

Re: Do you think the estate regret releasing the Cascio songs? Or will they continue to stand by the

$Money$ makes the world go 'round.

But wouldn't trying to prove who the real singer is be practically impossible, given that it could have been a completely unknown singer, and one cannot be expected to scrutinise the whole face of the Earth for this one person?

Did the ones that filed lawsuit in the Milli Vanilli incident have to find the true vocal talents behind the records, or was it revealed by the ones responsible? If the latter, is there any other case in which the ones filing were expected to find the true singer on fradulent tracks?
