Wow they sure didn't waste any time getting her buried....good thing though because of the rumors of the idiots who were going to protest. Bet they didn't expect a funeral today.

I know on the news they mentioned she was going to be buried near her parents. Didn't know it was the same cemetery that Michael was placed at.

Kinda fitting that they'll be buried near each other.

R.I.P Dame Taylor. :(

I remeber reading a story a day or two after Michael was buried at Forest lawn that Elizabeth was so taken by the beauty of the place that she decided she also wanted to be laid to rest there. I thought it was just tabloid making something up (and maybe it was) but its somehow comforting to know she will be close to Michael.

The 77-year-old actress was close friends with the late pop icon and wants her final resting place to be alongside Michael at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn cemetery.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "After sitting through Michael's funeral service at the Great Mausoleum, with its magnificent stained-glass windows and replicas of Michelangelo's artworks, she later told friends, 'I felt a sense of peace there that I've never experienced before.' "

her parents are not buried at Glendale, Forrest Lawn, only Michael is, she's going to be buried next to Michael not her parents

Just to know that she's near to Mike, it's crazy, but I feel better, Mike is not alone like this.

It is fitting that Elizabeth and Michael will both be at Forest Lawn. All this is really emotional.

Elizabeth Taylor was Jewish and their tradition is to bury the dead within 24 hours of death.

My mom just said that she was trying to be buried next to Michael. Is that true? Is Liz in the tomb with him???

No, she is not in the tomb with him. I think your mom is referring to the story that came out after MJ was buried...

I knew she converted from Christian Science to Judaism..I believe when she married Eddie Fisher? I didn't know about that tradition though..thanks..

I'm happy to hear she will be near Michael.. :angel:

She converted in early 1959 so she converted between two marriages. People say she converted to Judaism because of her marriage.. but this is what she wrote in her book Elizabeth Takes Off.

"It had absolutely nothing to do with my past marriage to Mike [Todd] or my upcoming marriage to Eddie Fisher, both of whom were Jewish. It was something I had wanted to do for a long time."

Thank you for clarifying that!! And I also just learned that Elizabeth lived here in VA for sometime when she was married to or with, Senator Warner. And I also just learned that, Elizabeth "took" Eddie Fisher away from Carrie Fisher! I love Liz Taylor

I think you mean she "took" Eddie away from Debbie Reynolds and not Carrie Fisher... :p Carrie was the daughter of Eddie and Debbie

And they think she's a whore, too. They boycotted Michael's public memorial (it's on Youtube) with very distasteful signs. What if his grieving family especially his three children saw them? My gosh these people are NOT true Christians. Where's the love God told us to have? Let Elizabeth rest in peace and her family and close friends mourn in private.

Just hearing the news about Elizabeth being buried in the same mauseleum as Michael and I have to say I am happy about that. Somehow it seems fitting that they were together in life and now they are together after both their passing.

God has two of the loviest angels with him now, bless you both!

Ohhh yea lol thats what I meant. And boycotting... can't the funeral place or the cemetery people do something about this!?!? If I could, I would sue the damn cemetery managers for letting these people do this!!

really is she being buried in the mauseleum? thats wonderful im glad, Liz and Michael will be forever together

They're gone physically but as long as we have them in our hearts, memories; they will never go away! :girl_give_heart:
I must admit I have mixed feelings of Liz being burried in the same place like Michael, it means none of us won't have access for paying our respect in a proper way but I'm glad at the same time they will be together.

Helicopters hovered and security was tight as Elizabeth Taylor's family gathered to pay their respects to the Hollywood legend this afternoon.

Five black limousines were seen driving into Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale for the private 2 p.m. service. Taylor is being interred within the Great Mausoleum, which is also the final resting place for Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Taylor's close friend, Michael Jackson. She attended the King of Pop's funeral there in September 2009.

The service lasted for about an hour and there was no funeral procession (or unwelcome interruptions).

Taylor, who died early Wednesday morning, converted to Judaism when she married Eddie Fisher, her fourth husband, and tradition calls for the deceased to be laid to rest within 48 hours of death. Her publicist has said that plans for a more expansive memorial service will likely be announced at a later date.

Her survivors include her daughter with Richard Burton, Maria Burton-Carson; her daughter with Michael Todd, Liza Todd-Tivey; her two sons with Michael Wilding, Christopher and Michael; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Tomorrow, Broadway marquees will go dark for one minute at 8 p.m. in honor of the Tony nominee and two-time Oscar winner.
