Michael Jackson artwork to be donated to L.A. Children's Hospital - by Katherine and MJ's kids

And thats why the family have done this.any attempt by the estate to reclaim them will look bad on them

They are using the kids again, and the sad thing is the kids look up to grandma a great deal. They really love her, which they should, so why can't she just do something from the heart instead of having ulterior motives? SIGH

When we go to LA for the trial we can go take a look at the paintings.

Ivy, are there any photos of the paintings to be displayed?
 
doesnt Katherine have to show proof of ownership BEFORE she can donate these pieces of art to the hospital? I mean really if it was the case that anyone could just donate something like this to anywhere...everyone that had valuable stuff would do it. Like when I donated my old car to salvation army..I had to show them the title of the car..that I legally owned it....isn't this the same kind of thing?

I don't think so. These items are part of MJ Estate and cannot be given away without his Estate approval. KJ has no right or whatsoever to give them away. she just doesn't. And the kids are not in the position to make that kind of decision. they are too young and so don't understand the implications. Plus they don't have the authority of making such call until they inherit his Estate. They are being exploited yet again. BTW MJ has already designated 20% of his Estate to charity.
 
The hospital prob presumes katherine owns them.just like all the other scams with the belts etc

There is a reason why these press conferences are announced at the last minute. Because there is nothing LEGIT about them...it's all about secrecy...surprising the estate.

I am amazed that her grown as children are letting their old mother act so recklessly. That family is a ****** disgrace.

Let's hope the hospital (I don't expect this from the Jacksons) acted with due diligence and confirmed everything with the estate, like that buyer. I am sure they don't want a scandal

well BLS was claiming ownership a couple of weeks ago.its not clear cut hence this stunt which imo is a stunt to stop the estate getting the stuff back

The hospital probably got so excited that they forgot to inquire about it. I am sure they will hear from the Estate soon.

From the looks of this article and the one that was posted here a few weeks ago, it APPEARS that Brett Livingstone is the one who is doing the donating.

As usual, in my opinion, Katherine Jackson is just there to ENDORSE what's going on.

It's like folks just want her there because they think it legitamizes whatever they are doing, i.e. the Tribute Concert.

And I wouldn't be surprised if a FEW DOLLARS crossed hands. I mean, all it takes is for Howard Mann to do one of his "on location" shoots, thinking that he is gonna be able to sell the footage to all the entertainment programs.

In my opinion, whatever they do, dollars signs are not far behind!
 
Why Michael did not donate his own artworks to charity? Who knows? May be the perfectionist in him said the artworks are not good enough? Again, who knows?

Why Katherine decided to donate the artworks to charity? Who knows? May be she thought it's a nice gesture? May be she has other motives? Again, who knows?

All I know is these artworks will bright up the day of the children in the hospital. All I know is that these artworks will put smiles on the children's faces. All I know is that the children may feel better and may be inspired because of the artworks. All I know is that it's more meaningful to display these artworks in a children's hospital than to have them collecting dust in a warehouse.

I cannot keep speculating on people's motives. It's really tiring to do that. I just don't see how donating artworks to a childrens' hospital is an evil scheme as described by some here.

Best wishes to the children in the hospital and may they get well soon!

in other words, they are using her to undermine the MJ Estate. This is so fucked up. I hope the Estate comes down on them like a ton of bricks.

The problem too is that the Jacksons think that because their his relatives they can do what they want and so do the others that get them invloved in their projects and such. They can't for the life of them understand that it doesn't work that way. They can't sell out their own relative just because his their blood! Legally they can't do that cause MJ didn't say they can, why can't they get it?

IF there is any type of problems with this so-called "donation." I can certainly see The Estate of Michael Jackson alerting the hospital that there may be a problem with the ownership of the 13 pieces of art.

That would leave it up to the hospital as to how they want to proceed. They very well may go ahead and hang the 13 pieces, but at least they will be aware that there may be a problem with the art collection.
 
And don't forget that KJ is getting her cut from these buggy deals too. After all she "needs" money.
 
um~~~I feel I am skeptical about this. Just not long ago, there's report about the owner ship of these painting and all the plans about this painting. Suddenly, they are donating these painting to hospital? Weird! I wonder where are all the other paintings.
 
I'm "guessing" that Randy Jackson was NOT one of the family members in attendance today. LOL!

How long before he sends out one of his "I OBJECT" tweets!
 
I never though that a gesture that would bring smile to sick little children would break my heart so much...:(
God bless the Estate...hope it will do something soon...As to the involvement of mother K and those three beautiful, little innocent children, I can't even begin to say how its hurting...oh Michael :(
 
I don't know what is going on. Maybe this is all fine with everyone. I don't think it will look good for the estate taking something from a children's hospital. On a side note, I am glad the hospital accepted it.
 
What does that say on the picture, the writing? The children look well.
 
Guys I notice they are giving furniture sketches. I wonder if there are other paintings that are more appropriate for a hospital with children, such as the ones with Michael and children playing? Maybe Brett decided to donate those he did not really want. Who knows. Blanket looks thoughtful. I wonder what he thinks about the drawings.

My thing is as long as the estate knows about this, then it is OK, but I do not want Brett to do this so the estate cannot have them. Why does Latoya have to be where the children are? Taking their limelight away I suppose.
 
Well, the 'high backed throne' looks like one of the drawings from the magazine article...so these must be the same pictures that were mentioned in Tohme Tohmes' letter, I think.

and to Ivy: I think it could be interesting to do a Q & A with BLs, but it may be best to wait until the outcome of the Estate's deliberations over the letter....assuming we hear what the outcome is.




so from BLs voice over, the arm chair is Paris's magic Pixie chair' and one of the chairs is 'George Washington's 'Good morning Blanket' chair?
and the children have signed the pictures?
