Breaking News: As we all sit back and watch the tribute to the late great MJJ in October special host includes the people MJ love so dear and spoke highly of him when he was alive and dedicated their lives to him will include Oprah guess opening speaker talking about her days with MJ when they use to chill in Chicago Southside in a local park giving turkeys to families Lisamarie aka the first lady will be the host announcing the performers and a special tribute songs by MJ performed by her such as “you are not a live with a live band which includes sesame street, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse another part of me, Dirty Dianna ft Diana Ross and the rolling stones, eminem, N the Simpson’s. As a way to relieve a little stress would everyone please take a second and vote for Michael as the most Iconic VMA Performance!
 
Yesterday in my mind I was like if the tribute happens fine. But today, either this gets cancelled or KISS is removed from the line up. Knowing what he said about Michael and now hearing he will be a part of the tribute makes me ill. I can't believe his own family would do this to Michael. I thought other things were bad but this is disgusting and this needs to be stopped.
 
real talk even thro I am joking about it i am so heated and mad this is a man who dragged MJ badly last year they mind as well invite howard stern its just sad how This family is not thinking before they do something like this his trail is more important and fans glad u all are on your job i am def going to send a complaint i am pissed off i will go hard i'm going in cause I will speak from heart and call it as i see it despirte times it can't be that bad
 
@marebear I really think kiss will either be removed or back out, I think they will have to. But the damage is done, just the fact that they were willing to have him there is bad enough.

I won't be surprised if other artists follow suit. the whole thing is just too toxic to even participate.

The damage has been done because his own family did this to him. The Oprah thing was bad but Gene Simmons flat out said what he thought of Michael. Oprah feels the same but skirts around it. There is no justification or excuse for this. I can't believe his family and why Gene Simmons would do this. Is he trying to humiliate Michael in some way? I don't trust him and he should not be there.

I feel physically sick right now. The estate has kept their distance but now this is completely insulting to Michael.
 
It just shows that the organizers have no clue who they're organizing a tribute for, and that the Jacksons are ready to agree to anything to make a bit of money or (re) lauch their careers. KJ obviously knows nothing about GL, the performers, or what people said about Michael. But the sad and upsetting part is, she still involves the kids with those people, without apparently checking on them. It's even worse than what I thought.
 
@marebear, I agree it's so much worse because this is coming from Michael's own family, as for Simmons, I can't believe he would think he would get a warm reception from MJ fans.

So I think Simmons hasn`t plan a tribute for Michael. The opposite a scandal-performance for the Kiss-Fans.
 
This is a dissgrace. I can't understand how KJ can do this. Fans say we should let the family be and support them. Well they should know better than invite KISS to a tribute show! While they are at it let's invite Sneddon and chandlers to… and don't forget gavin. Oh poor sweet Michael*

Same. I couldn't have cared less about this tribute and am surprised every day that passes and it hasn't fallen apart. And then THIS f**kery happened. Totally agree that if this thing doesn't self-destruct on itself that KISS MUST be taken OFF the roster...ASAP. For one thing, if Gene really feels as strongly as he does about Michael's "guilt" then how could ANYONE trust him on a stage. Who only knows what a jerk/jacka$$ like him will say and/or do at a tribute FOR Michael. I can totally see someone like him getting on stage and blurting out some disrespectful foolishness in front of a crowd of ppl who are there to love and celebrate Michael just for the shock value of it. And what will be the headlines the day after? Not that it was loving and great yada yada...but that this A---HOLE disrespected MJ in front of thousands of fans, not to mention if they actually send this out via satellite or whatever the heck it is they plan to do...pay-per-view. And a tribute that was disguised about showing LOVE and continuing legacy (when it's more than likely a quick money-grab in reality...MY OPINION)...will turn into an embarassing nightmare with Michael's children present, no less.

KISS MUST BE REMOVED! End of! Point blank PERIOD!

In fact, I wouldn't put it past Gene to have agreed to this JUST so he could start some ish and embarass Michael at his own tribute. A family that claims to love and respect their BLOOD can NOT allow this.

Again, Michael's name is being used for selfish motives, this concert is not about Michael or about honoring his legacy, genius in any way or form, it's NEVER been about Michael. This concert is a way to cash in on Michael Jackson while they still can, that's one of the main reasons why many fans are NOT supporting this event. A supposed tribute filled up with acts like Alien Ant Farm, and KISS (does Gene Simmons ring a bell?) is NOT what a tribute is about. Of course you can play the ''they didn't know- card' now, but point still remains that they should've known better. Who else is going to take part in this? Aaron Carter? Why not just dig up Jordan Chandler, Gavin Arvizo and Tom Sneddon, to make the disrespect even more obvious?

Also, IF he actually did that, don't forget that it would happen in the middle of the trial and get the media to focus on THAT instead of the Murray trial.

wow. just wow. i cant belive what im hearing and reading. i havents een this entire thread bc its sooo long but from what ive herd so far im discusted. I cant believe that Michael OWN family would even THINK about having people like Oprah and Gene Simmons involved in this "tribute concert" what kind of tribute is this! this is a joke and a way to make Michael look bad once again! I really hope the Estate steps in and has this whole thing cancelled or sues who ever though this was even a good idea.The idiots who planned this concert surely dont know MJ fans very well if they think Oprah and Gene Simmons are going to get a warm welcome. this whole this apawling and wrong. this just makes me sick! i cant see ANY true Fan of Michael buying tickets to this garbage.
 
The sad thing is this mess will bring up the allegations all over again and drag mj through the mud. Many people will believe what gene says because he says he has inside information about what happened and seems to present a balanced argument. This is very sad. The jacksons really excelled themselves this time.
 
I believe that Gene Simmons agreed to this so he could humiliate Michael. To him it's all about press, exposure and attention. Anyone mentioning Michael's name gets attention on tv etc. Call me paranoid but I see nothing but bad things happening if they are allowed to perform. His family has really done it this time. This all happens during the trial. Michael is going to get his name and reputation dragged through the mud at the trial. He will be trashed by Murray and team. Then we have the biased coverage of the trial like last time and now there will be a tribute for Michael where someone who believes he is a child molester is performing on a tribute for him. People think Michael Jackson fans are crazy. These are the crazy people and I can't take it anymore.

Sometimes I think the manipulators are using KJ and the kids to hid behind when it comes to all this...and even though she seems to be a willing participant most of the time...I "sometimes" think someone is setting her up. WHO is telling her this mess is okay? WHO is presenting these schemes to her as good ideas? They are either greedy, out of touch, setting her up as incompetent (unbeknownst to her) OR all three. Something STINKS here and has for quite a while.

If this lack of respect is going on in public, Lord only knows what's going on behind the scenes.

Manipulators or not, she's grown woman, who should know better, especially when she has the responsibility of 3 kids, and says she wants to preserve her son's legacy.
