"This is Doctor Murray, Bob. Hi, how are you? Um, sorry I missed you. Just wanted to talk to you about your results of the EECP. You did quite well on the study. We would love to continue to see you as a patient even though I may have to be absent from my practice for, uh, because of an overseas sabbatical."

However, the call took place at 11:54am - the same time Los Angeles cops claim Murray was frantically carrying out CPR on Jackson in his bedroom after a deadly intake of drug Propofol.

But his lawyers will insist that this piece of evidence blows away police reports that the doctor admitted to starting CPR on the star around 10:52am.

A source close to the Murray team said: "It's clear from the voicemail that Murray is not a man who sounds frantic, worried or in a stressful position.

"But if the police's timeline is correct, then he would have been almost an hour into giving Jackson CPR." Murray's lawyer Ed Chernoff aims to discredit cops' initial interviews with his client in a bid to convince a jury that they bungled the enquiry.

If he wins this row then Murray could discredit every interview by LAPD detectives.

In their documents filed last July, detectives say Murray told them he gave Jackson the Propofol and went to the toilet for about two minutes. When he returned, he found Jackson unconscious.

This, along with two other calls the doctor made between 11 and 12 that morning, will be at the centre of his defence.

The source added: "Murray's lawyers know he gave Michael Propofol and understand that killed him. But just what happened in that room in those few hours Michael was last alive will be the key battleground."

However, the prosecution will say the tape strengthens their case. If the cops' version of Murray's timeline IS correct, then it means the call was made while Jackson lay unconscious, or dead, in his Hollywood mansion.

That was great, actually! They showed how Murray first gains their patients' trust and appears to be a reliable doctor. After that he abandons them and turns out to be negligent in the end. Sounds like a pattern there...

I can't see a live stream today, so I'm just relying on your comments. It's interesting that Murray just ignored this guy. I guess it shows that Murray could be a good doctor at times, but also could be quick to ignore a patient when something better or more interesting comes along.

However, why would someone threaten to sue their doctor for cancelling appointments? If that happened to me, I would just find a new doctor.

I've now moved downstairs to use BBC/Sky News services. My connection is still acting funny.

whoops theres goes the cross after he says the phonecall was weird chernoff stops then starts again and asks if he drove here!

witness is off

the medic is up chernoff leaves the courtroom (hopefully never to return)

This witness does far more than that. It shows that Murray knew how to have a patient/doctor relationship and he told the patient no when he was about to put his life in danger. Meaning, he could/should and done the same for Michael. He should had been as firm, but he chose to follow Michael's wishes like he had no choice.

What was the benefit of Murray asking chernoff to ask those two question, if he lived in LV and if he drove there???

this is gonna be a hrd witness to hear *sigh* going through his qualifactions and the call and details of june 25th

re russel the pros could have made it clear about the time of the phonecall so the jury could have connected the dots

Thank god they decided to break there. I wasn't fully ready to hear any of what he was about to testify

Love this judge. He's kinda cool, smiles so ppl don't feel intimidated, gives clear and reassuring instructions to jurors but when ppl cross the line he's uber firm. He has that "No...Nope..nah-ahn..not happening" tone when things are out of order...mostly when Chernoff or the defense team is out of order. He does not PLAY...but still has a pleasant vibe.

Russel's testymony showed up how Murray can make patient to trust him and than get rid of him. Who does he think he is?
