I was interested in this book in the first place because I thought there would be NO DRUG TALK. Why did I think that? Because I saw him and his family on Oprah last year say they never saw any problems. Did you know how good it felt to hear from people who knew Michalel 25 years say that? Especially after the interviews people gave including his own family. That's the impression they gave. They saw nothing with all the time they spent with him. Now not only is he saying he saw things, he got stoned with Michael too. This doesn't bother anyone? It bothers me because I feel stupid. I thought something and I was wrong. Were they lying on that show?

People need to stop saying that this is about hate or songs. For me 2 weeks ago I was almost considering buying this book. I feel duped and i don't get why saying that is wrong. It doesn't matter to me that most of the book will be positive because I thought it would be in the first place. My issue is you either saw Michael have drug issues or you didn't. I don't want one answer now and a completely different answer. And now I am not happy at all with the headlines I am seeing the media is reporting. Haven't we seen enough of this already? When is it going to stop?

(I don't really care about the "music fiasco." Water under the bridge. That isn't part of my stance for not buying the book, at all.)

To continue. . . .Michael has a history of being BETRAYED. By Bashir (the worst of them all), by Schmuley Boteach, and so many others, AND, by Conrad Murray. To say "situational addict" at that exact time, actually WAS a deal-breaker for the reading the rest of the book. Damage was done, and that's really enough -- for, apparently, MOST of us. We have no allegiance to Frank (why would we?), but to Michael.

So here's MY story. . . .I've been fighting for justice for Michael. . . since 2004. I'm a writer, and I put myself OUT there in a very public way, including not only my writing, but radio and tv interviews on behalf of justice for Michael, and in doing that, I took upon a certain risk. (you have NO idea!)

In 2004/5, I had a literary agent who was trying to market a novel I'd written (fiction, nothing to do with Michael). This manuscript won a major award in my state. But then, my agent found out that I was writing articles (online, alternative news site) about Michael's trial (balanced, positive articles), and she basically blew a fuse! She said, "This could make "us" RICH! You must do a BOOK about Michael Jackson, and the trial." And, I COULD have. But then she said, "But, of course for this to sell, it has to include a lot of DIRT on Michael Jackson." I said, "NO." She pressured me, and kept pressuring me. She basically backed off marketing my novel. It went on and on, and I FIRED her! I must be just about the first (only?) writer to have fired a literary agent! Those are SO hard to get. I shot myself in the foot, financially. My life might have turned out differently, if I'd not fired her, but I did have a bottom-line. I simply REFUSED to write ONE. NEGATIVE. WORD. about Michael. And, I never have, and I cannot support those "other" writers, who do. I simply can't. . . .

So I take this book from Frank a bit personally. I took a TREMENDOUS financial hit, but my integrity is fully and forever intact. I think Frank came under the same pressure that I did, and it can be seductive, and I think he crumbled. But, I truly love Michael, and could not write ANYTHING that could make its way to major media, could be misconstrued, or could have HURT him. And, I think Frank did hurt him.

Not sure if anyone cares, about my personal story? but my novel -- same one - - is finally being published. Publish-on-Demand, Lulu press, bypassing agents, publishing conglomerates, and advertising agencies. I do hope some people will want to read it? Hopefully? I think it's a very good book. I do hope people understand what I'm saying, here? (and yeah, "buy my book," which should be online next week. Has nothing to do with Michael. It's just very, very good fiction -- even though I did have to fire my agent.)

Thank you so much for fighting for Michael and NOT selling him out. You are a rare breed for sure. see this is what I mean they are ALL professionals On Michael Jacksons private life...they ALL knew all about every move Michael ever made, Woops they better hurry up and write that book before their sorry little minds forget the lies that they want to tell. This is so upsetting,,,Klein makes me physically ill. I could just roll my eyes at him forever, blah blah blah,,,,

I respect and appreciate your integrity. I cannot respect Frank Cascio.

And there is NO WAY IN HELL, MJ would be happy with this book. He knew he had a lot of young fans, and he was very protective of the youngins. I can't even imagine what his reaction would be if he knew his kids could be exposed to Cascio's trash.

The backlash has begun. Some fans didn't like the Cascio's anyway, but most were actualy looking forward to the book. Fans are expressing their disapointment calling it "backstabing" and unlike this thread most are not making excuses for Frank Cascio. They are just being honest about the extreme disapoinment.

Google Frank Cascio Twitter, that also links to his facebook. No word yet on what the other Cascio family members have to say about this book... But it should be interesting since all of them denied knowing anything about MJ and alleged drug abuse less than a year ago.

And that's what irks me....the headlines are one-sided. None reported that this leech had denied drug abuse just 11 months ago. SMDH

Maybe he wanted to keep the scoop for his book for greater impact. That's be such a conniving move but i wouldn't be surprised. More and more I think he was Roger Friedman's source.

Friedman has been very biases, defending this family that nobody outside of MJ knew.

I wonder what people here would say if you learned Cascio was indeed Friedman source? Would you support him still? Or maybe waiting for him to put it in proper context. lol

we will discuss his answers -good or bad - when we get them but to say that "he's in hiding" is wrong when he clearly accepted to answer questions. That's not hiding.

Sorry 4 mistakes. I am on my phone.

The excerpts I have read (& I didnt read them all) say nothing abt Michael teasing Frank abt that. They say that MJ used to say that Omer was his son &Frank didnt believe him and MJ eventually admitted it was not true. There was nothing abt jokes, etc. mentioned.

Therefore, if that is a complete quote (& we will not know for a few days) then I think those who wonder how clise they really were if MJ wld tell him something like that and keep to it for an extended period to wonder at their relationship.

I hope that makes sense. I will refine it once I get to a real computer again. Lol!

These last Sunday posts have my head in a whirl. Why are some pretending that they do not know that many Michael Jackson Fans cannot simply accept and enjoy Michael related information in the same way the fans of others artists can? Many pop stars drink, somke weed, take drugs, etc., and the media and general public do not mainly stimatize them for these behaviors disregarding their contributions. So those who claim in this thread that weed smoking is not bad are really missing the point here or pretending they do not understand the point.

As Michael Jackson fans we have to constantly fight so that the media/general public do not continue to redicule him, because as said, the behaviors that are accepted by other artists are seen as extremely negative and stigmatizing when they are associated with Michael Jackson. This is the reason why most fans have to weigh what is said about Michael to see what impact the information will have in the general public, and why a Q&A for fans is meaningless when it comes to influencing public opinion. No other artist fans have to go through this scrutinizing of information from Michael so-called friends. It is not that we love to do it. We are not sickos. The situation that exist in relation to the bullying, degrading, leeching, etc., of Michael Jackson forces us to engage in these actions.

We all know that presidents, and several people worldwide have taken drugs and engage in the same behaviors that Frank attributes to Michael, but when it comes to Michael it is a whole different ball game, and anyone who does not get this, should buy the book and enjoy.

If Michael were still alive to read this article detailing his private medical history and telling about how he got stoned in the mountains... do you honestly believe he would still be friends with Frank? Really?

Thank you. We all face choices/pivotal moments in our lives. I said "No." I would have gained huge financial profits, if I'd said "yes." I just. ... couldn't do it. I may never get those kinds of "rewards," in this life, but I do know. . .I did the right thing. That is just my story, and Frank's is obviously different. . .

I will say this: the Q&A is done with his publishers about his book. Generally when you do a Q&A like that they limit your questions to the matter at hand. For example when we did the Q&A with Vogel -we had the limit of "Most questions about Earth Song and a few general songs about the upcoming book" guideline. This is no different. I did not arrange a chat with my BFF, I went through a publisher for permission.

Ur gettin me all wrong. I was referring to his book only and how it's all about MJ. Not the Q&A that I by the way participated in. I was saying that I want Frank to address the many things that people have said about him too and be truthful about it in the book. But, I am doubting he will even go there completely, if at all? So I was asking how is it fair game on MJ but, not himself?

Also I never accused u of protecting Frank like he was ur bestest buddy here. Infact I have not said that about anyone. lol I simply don't agree with the book and the way some are saying it's no big deal because some stories were heard already. And I believe I am allowed to state that, no?

Well.... I hope that clear things up? o_O
