Unconfirmed Reports: Bad album set for re-release with previously unreleased tracks

My guess is the Bad 25 album will come out no sooner than the same time of the year that the original Bad album came out. The end of August. The Cirque MJ tour ends early August and I'm sure the estate wants to focus sales on the Immortal album at least until the tour is over.

Does anyone know what concert was the one that they leaked? I've seen in other forums some people saying it was Los Angeles'89 or Wembley'88, but no one is sure. Does anyone knows it?

That must be Rome 1988 vob1 15 minutes in pro that leaked.
 
I would like to hear 'Don't Be Messin' Around' as one of the unreleased tracks off Bad25. Judging by the snippet on Youtube, I'd it sounds really funky and fun and having Bruce Swedien praise the track makes me even more interested in hearing it.

i think they will release it in november. cause the european shows of immortal are in november.

Not referring to lounis logo. But you're saying leaked VOB 0,99 GB file is horrible quality?? o_O
You expected HD or what? It's amazing quality for non released BWT. I'd suggest you to watch Queen live in Wembley 1986 2 DVD set. It was released for Queen 40th Anniversary. Released DVDs. But take a look at it's quality. Now that's what I call bad. But this Rome footage is amazing quality.

It sold 2.5M copies worldwide.

600K in the U.S alone according to Michael Jackson's estate & Ivy :).
 
I think it would be nice if the CD came out with a 2-disc deluxe edition,just like Thriller 25.

The first disc can be the CD with the unreleased tracks,and the second can include all the BAD short films,along with a performance (eg the Grammy 88 one),
just like Thriller 25 was accompanied with a DVD including the videos and the Motown 25 performance.

Also,it would be so great if they made "Bad 25 : The book" just like Thriller. : )




Along with the DVD and Blu-ray (possibly?) of Bad tour,

THAT would be a complete and ideal release.


(lol maybe I'm asking too much!)

I`d actually would be willing to pay a few bucks more for Oxygene`s mixes, since i liked the ones form him i saw on youtube :)
 
I really hope to see more Bad Tour footage, its gotta be somewhere, they really need to make a DVD out of it, was such a great era for our Michael!! :)

Bad was to be a 3 LP set because Mike couldn't make his mind up on the tracklist but Frank Dileo asked MJ to keep it as 1LP i read it a while ago when i reading up on the BAD Album

I think is was meant as a 2 disk album, but still - that must mean there are many BAD outtakes ready to be released. - COME ON GIVE IT TO ME !!!

I have read in the 'for the record' book that the short film 'the way you make me feel' was originally 25 + minutes! MJ had a version home.

I believe it's really worth the purchase. : )

It contains everything you need to know about Thriller and the Thriller era.

It's absolutely stunning to look at,so many lovely pictures inside!!!!!

And also a really great read.It talks about each song seperately,the success and the legacy of Thriller,the photoshooting for the album,we are the world,the awards and achievements,info about the 25th release....

And the interviews are also all great. : )

I hope that the 25th anniversary of Bad album is treated with love and respect and not just thrown together really half assed with a ''Hey it's not Thriller so who cares'' attitude.
 
Calisto, that sounds amazing, people like you should be in charge of MJ projects. We can only hope the people of the Estate think alike and create something truly worthwhile. :)
