hell to the naw. We just want something that will be released that is deserving of having 'michael jackson' on it. It needs to be the best. This is a michael jackson record. Celebrating 25 years of a fantastic album, and it should be done correctly.

Well, I think he loathed more the "Wacko" part attached to it...Cuz, I don't think she meant anything scathing about it, from what I see here...A lot of people use the nickname 'Jacko' when referring to anyone with the name Jackson, doesn't mean it's done in a derogatory manner..I just don't think she deserves all this hate (not saying you personally are hating on her), cuz that doesn't seem to be her intention here...but that's just me, I guess

She also said that MJ has never done 50 dates this close together. What does she know? MJ did more than 50 dates close together with the Jackson 5 and during his Bad Tour. It only during the 90s that MJ started to take more time between dates.

Ok, well, I don't know, but this particular instance, I don't think she meant anything derogatory by what she said...She also said that he's amazing and that she loves his music, so take what you will from it I guess...There are much, much worse things that have been said about him..

For those who wonder why we want blu-ray and what HD is. Well, take a look here. Maybe you will notice that blu-ray is FAR more superior watching experience. DVD is outdated. Blu-Ray is the video of today. And our King needs the best.

For those who wonder why we want blu-ray and what HD is. Well, take a look here. Maybe you will notice that blu-ray is FAR more superior watching experience. DVD is outdated. Blu-Ray is the video of today. And our King needs the best.

Actually, if you don't have a big screen TV, regardless of DVD or BD you won't see any difference with your bare eyes. From the moment you start increasing the size of the video and watch it on the big screen it is only then that you see that DVD's picture is not as dense as BD's. BD is made to fit big screens. DVD is enough on smaller TVs and computer screens. Both technologies, DVD and BD have the same principle, digital technology. The difference is in the ray that reads the supports. BD player's ray is thinner than DVD player's, hence you can store more info on the disk and increase the number of colors, nuances and details.

It'd be better to do make a 7.1 or even 9.1. More than that would be uselses as the human ear wouldn't recognize any nuances above 9.1

For those who wonder what 5.1 represents on their DVDs or BDs, it is very simple.

5 = 5 loudspeakers
.1 = 1 subwoofer

The central loudspeaker is used for the dialogues. The front left and the front right ones are used for the music and effects in front. The rear left and rear right ones are used for the music and effects coming from behind actor's back giving the impression to the watcher that he/she is in the middle of the action.

The subwoofer (put it always in the corner) is there for some sound effects such as explosions giving the impression of trembling.

With additional two loudspeakers (you get 7.1), you put them between the front left and rear left and between the front right and rear right. If the DVD or BD indicates that you have 7.1, it means that the sound is divided into those additional loudspeakers giving an even richer sound atmosphere.

It goes without saying that with 9.1 you'd be just blown away by the sound effects. But more than that the human ears wouldn't really be able to tell the difference between 9.1 and 11.1 for example.

SONY, you know all this. So give us some good quality PICTURES, VIDEOS and SOUND!

p.s. So, for those who didn't know, when you see on your DVD 2.0, you know that the sound is crappy compared to what you could have

I have 1080p HD monitor and HD vs SD difference is huge. If anyone has just DVD player and small monitor, he has enough with DVD, but Blu-Ray is a must because technology isn't standing on spot. Why we still ain't watching VHS?
They should release both DVD AND Blu-Ray. People who don't care about quality or don't have equipment to watch blu-rays, can buy DVDs.

Sure, I wasn't necessarily addressing this message to you personally, but in general to people who tend to think that buying a Blu-Ray would be better than a dvd when actually there is no difference (with bare eyes) on smaller LCD/LED screens and cathodic tube screen TVs.

But of course, those who have big screens, buying a DVD would be a waste of money as far as quality is concerned.
