Incredible lifelike Michael Jackson Thriller bust [Update] The Creator comments in our thread

Here's another quick pic here. Was going to work on the hair today, but got lazy. Maybe tomorrow....

Thriller looks great. None of the Madame tusou michaels look that close. Bad mike is going to be even better.
Just an idea, if you intend to do more after that. Why dont you made the next one with Michaels live face expressions. I know rhat going to be much harder, but good challenge. Dont you think?

I know some people may say that his hair is off here and there and some other details are off, but I think this is THE best MJ I've ever made (probably the best piece of art I've ever made):

Can you do the whole body of Michael or just busts?

The estate should purchase your work, it would be nice if your MJ bust end up in Michael Jackson museum, or if you do whole body of MJ, it would be nice to see it with original clothing.

I agree your work here is stunning, amazing. and the likeness is so real its almost scary. Please don't be offended by any suggestions about the wig or minute detailes. I think your work is glorious and any fans suggestions here are not criticisms but they love your work so much they just want to help in any way they can. You are certainly a master craftsman. You deserve much recognition and praise for this masterpiece.

I sent a tweet out to the estate and Spike Lee. I hope other fans follow suite

I can do the whole body. Probably will eventually. Right now, it's just easier to do the head. I've done statues of other pop icons too. Here's an example of one (I sculpted the head on this as well):

No way! Criticism ALWAYS helps. As nice as this bust is, there's still flaws of course. I don't think I'll ever "perfect" Mikes face, but honestly seeing this in person is close enough for me.

I went through a seriously tough patch in life in 2009 and I actually was bonding to his music out of nostalgia back in May of 2009 (I seriously was playing the entire Thriller and Bad albums constantly). I was pretty devasted when he died and this is my way of paying tribute to him for making music and videos that helped shaped my youth. Alot of people didn't think I could do it, but 3 years later, here I am!

Believe it or not, I only starting sculpting AFTER he died (2010).

I'm really grateful that everyone here is supporting me. Means alot!

You deserve to be known worldwide Joe, your job is SUPERB. Not just Michael's work, but now seeing Schwarzenegger's sculpture I'm sure everything you do is just as fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing your art with us :clapping: loving the BAD bust, of course!

You are doing great job and I hope estate will take a notice especially after Qbee tweeted to them about your work. They definitely should purchase your work (full body or bust for future use in museum perhaps.

I'm already imagining going to MJ museum and seeing your whole MJ body work there dressed in original Thriller jacket:wild: At the moment Thriller jacket is @ Grammy museum, but when MJ gets his own museum the estate can take it back:)

I just started reading this thread last night, and wow, godaiking, your work is truly amazing !! You are gifted, I'm sure you will get the recognition you deserve, beyond this community !

The details are stunning ! Can you explain roughly the process ? What is the material you use and how do you do it ??
 
This is 100 times better than any wax museum! I've never seen a good one until now..
